Started getting my eyebrows done by Whitney at ulta 11 years ago. Immediately was impressed with how she was able to shape and maintain my eyebrows for a decent price. When she left, i tried to find another local brow esthetician that could do as good of a job but it was hard to find to the point i was willing to travel to her new location before opening her own shop. Now that she has her own place its even more worth the distance. Her shop is well maintaned, refreshing and glamours while still being at the perfect price. I have two children who i am able to take to the shop and they get to enjoy candy or cookies while they wait. Which speaking of the wait, im usually in and out. I know what you're thinking, in and out usually means a botched job, hairs missed, painful quick waxing but its far from it. Also I never even use to fill my eyebrows in but ever since she filled them in for me after a wax its like a whole new brow. She even let me add a facial to my waxing appointment a day in advance. My waxing was exceptional and so was the facial. It had been over a year since I'd had a facial. I spoke to Shelby about it extensively in mid 2018, and she was able to give me honest feedback with the state of my eyebrows / surrounding skin. As this was a facial tattoo, I was a bit on the fence about this procedure, but Shelby was so thorough with the information surrounding the process that I felt comfortable enough to proceed. I ended up getting my eyebrows done by Shelby in late 2018, and while I am writing this review retroactively, the current state of my eyebrows definitely do speak for themselves. Fading is expected with micro blading, and while it has been over 4 years since I had it done, the initial structure that Shelby had formed has stayed strong. As I no longer live in the Davis / Sacramento area, I have thought of getting touched up by other folks over the years, but I feel that I may not be able to get the same care and attention (and confidence!) as I did from her work. I plan on making my way up to the Sacramento area soon to get a touch up on the brows and getting my lips blushed - and I trust no one other than Shelby to do a fab job on it! If you are on the fence about getting your eyebrows microbladed, I seriously cannot recommend anyone more. Like lots of other folks, I've read loads of horror stories about botched brows and the like, but proceeding with a talented practitioner such as Shelby seems like the best way to have results you love.
