I find it hilarious that I need to update my review but unfortunately here we are. I attempted to use Veronica's services 4 months ago and due to her not showing up for my appointment I didn't use her services. I received a full refund promptly and since have let the situation go. Fast forward to today, I check my email to see that I received another comment from Veronica for my review. Part of me thought maybe she was going through low reviews to try to smooth things over. I initially received good vibes from Veronica and I genuinely was looking forward to the service. So I was open to see if she had anything further to say. She decided to take a different approach. Again, I never utilized Veronica's service and I never will. Her prices were fair and reasonable and had nothing to do with me not wanting to use her. It's simply her lack of professionalism. I feel as if, although unhappy, I stayed calm with her. I never trashed her business. I didn't go a negative review rampage. I haven't even mentioned anything past my Yelp review 4 months ago. Yet for some reason she feels the need to be combative with me and attack me personally (at 10 AM on a Sunday at that lol). This is a long overdue review. Over the years, I've had not-so-great experiences with waxing. My skin is very sensitive and after so many unpleasant experiences, I gave up on waxing for a while. Randomly about a year ago, I decided to see Veronica. Game changer. She is so wise, careful, and helpful in getting my desired results in a way that doesn't irritate my skin. I always look forward to catching up with her at every session. I always stuck with getting just a Brazilian, but my last visit I decided to get my brows done as well. My most recent encounter with Veronica at Sugarlillies left me with a bitter taste in my mouth. I was profoundly upset and disgusted with her business practices. My experience with her was marred by unprofessionalism, unethical behavior, and outright dishonesty. I was set to take a sugaring class given by Veronica in May of this year. As the date grew closer I had a feeling she either forgot about the class or was going to cancel because I had not heard from her regarding class specifics, arrival time, etc. As suspected she reached out the day before and stated that she forgot the person she subleased her space to had a client. Mind you the class was scheduled at least a month in advance. For that reason, she rescheduled for the end of June. On the day of the class, we started by talking about her and how she got into the industry and moved on to a little sugaring on her and another person she had come in (armpit, arm and I watched her do a Brazillian). I left with no learning material to reference later and felt the class lacked quite a bit. Almost two months after taking the class and I have yet to receive my certificate. I reached out to Veronica this month inquiring about my certificate and she apologizes and asked for the name I wanted on it. That seemed odd since I already provided it to her. Going off my gut instinct I reached out to the company directly on 8/7/23. I was advised that Veronica was notified on 4/4/23 that her contract with Sugar Goddess would be complete on 4/26/23, which is the same day that I purchased my products. They also stated that they are no longer able to create and print certificates and it would cost to reinstate the program to just produce my certificate since they are utilizing another company to provide online training. Apologized but stated they would see me as certified and I could purchase products from them with no issue. I reached out to Veronica via text and advised her that I was aware that her contract was up when she gave the class and could not produce the certification certificate and promptly wanted a refund or that I would be taking legal action. She in turn reached out to the company and told them I was threatening to sue and I'm assuming asking for help. After some back and forth with the company as a courtesy to me they sent her a PDF of the certificate to provide me so that way we were both able to discontinue our business relationship with her. Despite how pleasant Veronica comes off I was utterly appalled by Veronica's dishonesty and unethical business practices. She gave a class knowing she was no longer under contract with the company that provides the certification. She continued to lie about the situation not knowing I was in direct contact with the company, where I was provided specific dates, etc. If you ever plan on taking a class my advice would be not to. I wasted my time and money and will now be taking another certification course with a reputable company! read more

Took my bf in for his first professional sugaring , the place was super nice and clean had coffee in the siting room with different options, coffee , latte , espresso etc also offered tea, the other side was a fancy water machine which you could get docent waters such as cucumber or lemon water .. decor was fancy and clean . Veronica approached us with a smile and and greeted us with hugs! She has been in the business for 20 years and it shows .. my bf got a service done using sugaring which is way less painful than waxing , he was very shy at first but she made him feel comfortable when he got on the table ... I held his hand as the sugaring went fast and quick .. the room is very clean white music playing Great ambiance ... he will be going back in 6 weeks and I will be booking a facial with her!! This lady ruined my eyebrows and she ate between work too. I believe she has diabetes or something not that I'm not sensitive but could've let people know because then I'm late to my other meetings. I had arrived 10 minutes before the " procedure" charged me $500 my eyes brows are uneven and I told her next day when I got home. This is what she said " wash your face and rub your brows with water several times it'll come off " and it didn't I have to now fix my brows with makeup when I didn't even need them before. I really don't like writing these kind of reviews. I booked an appointment with this business and put down a deposit right away for the services (it was a $30.00 deposit); I went through the yelp reviews after booking (I know, I should have done it before booking) and noticed a bunch of reviews stating the appointment was cancelled last minute or no one showed, etc. i had a hunch this would happen to me; I just had this feeling. The morning of my appointment I kept checking my email to see if I got a cancellation...about 2 hours before my scheduled appt, my hunch was spot on. I received a text stating it was cancelled. I wrote back immediately and asked for a refund for my deposit; she did offer to see me later in the week but since I already took time off work today for the appt, I wasn't going to risk another cancellation. I asked her twice for a refund and ironically, she didn't respond to my message; this was literally the same minute she sent me the cancellation text. I just feel like I was ripped off and it doesn't feel right. I have never used the services before and will never book another appointment; this seems too unprofessional and scammy. I had my permanent eye browns done by Veronica. As much and I don't want to leave a bad review, I feel like people should know what they're getting- or not getting. Veronica was sweet, funny as hell, and made me feel relaxed and confident in her skills and abilities. However, it just didn't work out that way. I booked her for powder and micro blading brows. When she got started she told me I'd be better off with just powder. To which I agreed since she's the professional. Her comments state that she measures the brows and never does free hand. Well folks- She did what she said she didn't do. All free hand. And boy did I pay for it. My brows were uneven, irregularly shaped, and completely askew. After a couple days I emailed her and informed her I was worried because my eyebrows didn't look even. She promptly replied to my email and asked me to come back and the following Monday, to which I agreed. Well, 30 min before my appt I checked my email; and to summarize- she cancelled my appt and basically told me to go somewhere else. Needless to say, I was shocked and disappointed. On the bright side, she did refund me my money promptly and in full- but to be completely honest, she didn't have a choice. I would've disputed it anyways.
