As a person who has lot of hair volume I want a hair cut that feels a bit more light weight during the summer . I didn't receive the service I was expecting . The owner saw my previous yelp review and she said she would fix the hair cut . She also told me to delete the yelp review and I did . Thankfully I saved it . I texted her a couple of times and she never followed up . I would never come back to get this service here . Especially from someone who says she will do something to satisfy their customers . Not once did she offer if I'd like another stylist , not once did she offer a real accommodation . Let's be real and hold accountability , because this second cancel the day of appointments, messaging me hours before on IG asking to move my appointment earlier to then canceling is WILD . Original : I know the stylists have their own way of booking or dealing with affairs apart of the salon but I think it's wild they have a rebooking fee of over $30 if client has to reschedule last minute their appointments BUT when I get my appointment canceled TWICE by the stylist ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT , due to "family emergencies" that apparently always happen. I think it's wild that a stylist can waste a clients time and day considering the first time it was canceled I had planned to get my hair cut before my birthday trip and today it got canceled I had just told my boss no to coming in for a shift because of my scheduled appointment ... what do we clients get in return besides wasted time and lost money ? At least she returned my $20 deposit that has been kept since August but damn , homegirl really needs to take care of home before taking appointments , we have a life out here too.

I have been to hair salons all over Long Beach, and this is by far the best haircut I have gotten in a long time. I found Enrique at Glamarama because I was in need of an urgent makeover. My hair was fine, limp, with very little body and I honestly didn't know what to do with it. I'm always a little hesitant when visiting new salons and hairstylists because you never know what you're gonna get. I arrived to Glamarama and as soon as I met Enrique I was very much at ease. Enrique asked me so many questions about products I use on my hair, my daily beauty regimen (and how long I'll realistically put into styling my hair, and so on. He was very detailed and thorough during the consultation. We ended up cutting a lot of my hair, opting for a short haircut that would give me body and volume, but not require hours of styling. My haircut is perfect for my features and reminds me of classic Vidal Sassoon hair cuts from the 60s! Before my cut, I added on a scalp dermabrasion treatment to help my hair grow and it was soothing, relaxing, and invigorating. I really enjoyed that Enrique did not try to oversell products. He made suggestions, but was not forceful. He also gave me a quick makeup tutorial. In the end, I bought a new shampoo/conditioner/scalp treatment regimen, some hair vitamins, and walked out feeling gorgeous. Enrique has created a wonderful place for transformations and makeovers in Long Beach. I surely be back and recommend Glamarama Beauty to anyone that is looking for stellar service and results. read more

I was referred here, by all people, my granddaughter. I went to another salon and asked for lowlights and the result was a horrendous zebra-looking color. I have almost 100% gray hair and I think my previous stylist should have warned me this would look awful (it was my idea, after all, but honest feedback would've been nice), unnatural, and age me 10+ years . I came to this gorgeous boutique salon in Long Beach and was instantly comfortable. Enrique is amazingly courteous, asks A TON of questions, gives you great suggestions, and makes you feel right at home. The color correction Enrique did on my hair was superb. Somehow he managed to make my hair a light blonde shade that is much more flattering for my skin and will show less contrast as my grays start growing out again. He did use a product called Olaplex for the chemical process and I bought the entire line of Aquage hair products he recommended and I have never been happier with my hair. I am definitely a returning customer! Enrique really does take his time with his clients, so don't come in a rush---you can't rush a true hair colorist/ artist. After this experience, I have really proven that you really do get what you pay for. Enrique is worth every penny and then some! read more

I stumbled on to experimenting with makeup rather late in my life. So, when i got an interest, I was completely clueless and was stuck in neutral. Yup, browns, tans and golds, I'm your girl and I probably have the palette. I bought some gorgeous bright colors but was not sure how to make them work. So that make-up sat on my counter, until I saw Enrique. I decided to stop by Glamarama in Long Beach. He matched me up with a great lip color and gave me some awesome tips! He showed me how to work the eye shadow colors I have and made me feel more confident to not only use the colors I have, but to experiment with more make-up! The next day I tried a purple from a neon palette along with the tips from Enrique and got many compliments. Enrique was patient, welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable. I love coming to Glamarama Beauty Supply and salon in Long Beach every time I get a chance to come to LA. I discovered this wonderful makeup store and salon a few months ago when I used to live in Long Beach and Enrique had just opened. Now I drive to Long Beach from San Diego to have Enrique do my haircuts and highlights (trust me, it's worth the drive!). Everytime Enrique cuts my hair, I get so many compliments. My hair color looks natural and my highlights look sun-kissed. Every time I come here I spend a lot more than I should, but products at Glamarama Beauty are great quality and I truly just like coming here to support this Long Beach business. Wow. Just wow. Just finished getting my hair colored and cut at Glamarama and I'm so happy with the results! I'm very low-maintenance and don't spend much time on myself, but am so glad that I took the afternoon to get pampered by Enrique. He took the time to listen to what I wanted, and wasn't pushy at all. My color is so natural; it looks sun-kissed even though I have been trapped inside taking care of my baby for a year! I found this wonderful beauty supply while visiting Long Beach. I forgot my toiletries back at home, and the concierge at the hotel recommended I come here. I found absolutely all the hair products I needed and bought a new blow dryer. Enrique is very nice, knowledgable, and makes your shopping experience fun. There is also a small salon in the back. Judging by his work on his website, I can tell he does amazing work. This is the most unique beauty supply store and salon I have been to in years! Enrique is just a sweetheart! He is very detailed oriented and has awesome customer service and on time. I loved my consultation which is a critical step. He is thorough so that he and the client are on the same page. A couple tips: 1) Don't call her for an appointment, text her your name, what service you are looking to get, and when you would like to come in- as of the summer of 2017 she was constantly booked at least a month out. 2) Send her photos of your current hair and if it's been treated at all (dye, bleach, etc) 3) Her studio is in Phenix Salon Suites. It might be confusing by the address, so you can just search that. And there is no one at the front desk so you just walk down the hallway to her studio (ste. 106, to the left and down the hall). The safest thing to do is just text her and ask. She is usually with a client during working hours so don't freak out and text more. She is super nice and great company!
