UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGER AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I came in expecting to relax but left more stressed than when I arrived. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this salon. I went in for a mani and pedicure expecting a relaxing experience, but it turned out to be anything but. Halfway through my pedicure, the staff began "remodeling," moving furniture in and out of the door closest to my pedicure chair. The door stayed open, and I was constantly hit with cold air. Then, a man started hammering loudly as part of the remodel. The noise was unbearable, lasting for 15 minutes and giving me a terrible headache. Mind you, I had AirPods in and could still hear the pounding noises. The manager came to apologize, but I told her they should've given me a heads-up before starting the service. She said they would stop the remodeling, but by then it was too late--I was already frustrated and wanted to leave. During the manicure, I told the manicurist I wanted to wrap up without polish. Unfortunately, she didn't seem to understand and insisted on applying a nude beige color I hadn't requested. I repeatedly told her no, but she continued with a massage instead. I had to ask multiple times for just a top coat so I could leave as quickly as possible, but she didn't seem to understand my requests. When it came time to pay, they charged me $85--$55 for the pedicure (which I was fine with) but $30 for a "regular manicure" without polish. Feeling frustrated and cheated, I called the next day to discuss my experience and request a partial refund of $15 for the unfinished manicure since I didn't receive polish. When I mentioned my headache and explained why I left early, the manager dismissively told me to "take some medicine." She became defensive, claimed they "don't give refunds," and even hung up on me mid-conversation. This is hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The noise, disorganization, and lack of communication were bad enough, but the dismissive and rude attitude of the manager made it even worse. If they had given me a heads-up about the remodeling or been more apologetic, my entire review would be different. I strongly recommend others avoid this salon. They don't value their customers or provide the professional service you'd expect. Save your time, money, and peace of mind--go to DAHLIA NAILS INSTEAD. read more

I'm hard on my feet between hiking and gardening. So I don't know the latest in nails. I didn't note that the Polish I was choosing was gel and nor did I know that I was getting that. To tell me to just choose a color, isn't exactly explaining. lol. I went with it and in the end I was happy with the guy who did my nails, but for the gel it was an extra $15 in the end. This was my second time coming here, first time was pedicure with friends and it was fine, got the job done. This last time I went in for a manicure, and it was rough. The nail tech cut me multiple times, used this paint stripper to remove my gel polish instead of acetone to soak it off which got in my skin and it burned so bad. When I brought this up she said 'mhmm' and then continued on and I said no it really hurts and she huffed about it didn't even try to get it off. She also used the electric nail file on my bare nails to a point where I've still got red marks and sensitive to heat/cold days later. Plus let's add that there was no music or tv going, no one chatting, it was uncomfortable. read more

I was not impressed with my recent visit here. First, nearly every polish is old and gummed up..when I found one that wasn't as bad as the last I chose it & they still had to keep adding liquid to it to get it to a paintable consistency. Red flag, and I know it's why both of our toes (I went with my mom) got messed up by our shoes well after both having dip manicures, giving them lots of time to dry. The polish on our pedicures is just bad. No clean lines & with gummy, old polish..they look very bad. Not a good feeling after spending $50 on them. The dip manicure isn't terrible, but it also wasn't great. The technicians here kept misunderstanding people's requests the entire time we were there, including my request for almond shape, which I said maybe 4 times at the beginning. She still shaped them square, but I trusted her process thinking maybe she was building up a bit to shape them in the middle of the process. When she asked me if I liked the shape I was confused & asked for the square to be rounded, and again requested almond. She told me I should have said in the beginning. Her filing became very fast & I knew that attention to detail was no longer going to be a thought on my nails & we we were now speeding through the steps..great. So that's probably why my right pointer finger is significantly smaller than my left. Also to note, the floors were incredibly dirty. It's not a good feeling to walk on so much dust, hair, etc. with your feet while your pedicure is drying. I had to give them a good dust off before putting my shoes on. At the end of our manicures the tech got busy with other clients and just left us there. No cuticle oil, lotion, etc. And with my cuticles now badly torn up by this rushed manicure, my cuticles are screaming for oil. Would not go back. For $200 (before tip) for 2 pedicures & 2 dip manicures, we left dissatisfied with what we got. read more

This is a cheery little shop tucked in a strip mall. They do take appointments and we're quite good at sticking to the schedule, which I appreciated. They have regular polish, shellac/gel and dip colors. I had a pedicure and a manicure. They only offer 2 types of pedicure, so you can have the basic (which is quite nice) or can upgrade with additional massages and lotions. It's a fairly calm atmosphere considering how busy they are. I took my mom here for her birthday. She had a great time but unfortunately, I don't think that I got my money's worth. I asked for what is shown in the picture where the nails are sheerer underneath and was told to pick a color to go underneath. I was pretty confused because it seemed like in the photo the color was pretty sheer. I asked which color was sheer and didn't get a clear response. In a rush, I picked one that seemed close to my skin color but it did not end up looking like the picture at all. I was asked if this was the color I wanted and restated that I don't know what color is sheer and just went with it hoping for the best. In the end, my nails were pretty subpar and I do not believe the work that was done is $45 worth to be completely honest. I also paid in cash as directed by the person checking me out which seemed a bit weird because the sign said I could pay with card. Underneath the nail is also a bit bumpy and the coverage of the polish used is not very good. I am pretty bummed because I loved going here last summer and had no issues, but this made me not want to come back. The entire place was spotlessly clean and they are very Covid aware- they make everyone wash their hands upon coming into the salon before they have a chance to touch anything. I looked around as I waiting and noticed no one looked close to finishing, and by this time it was 6:15. I sat and waited until 6:30 and then took the foil off myself and left. I'm not entirely sure why this place accepts appointments if they don't honor them. I understand waiting a few minutes past an appointment time, even 10 minutes I would have been fine with, but waiting 30 minutes past my booked appointment time is a little bit ridiculous. Completely wasted my time and have now lost my business. Very disappointed because the first and last time I came here my nails turned out amazing and I was so excited to come back. ** the response from the salon is pretty ridiculous. They started on my nails right after I came in (not at 6). I've never had the acetone sit on my nails to soak for 30+ minutes. I've had pedicures here as well as powder dipped manicures. I usually make an appt but walk ins are fine if you don't mind a short wait or returning in an hour or so. Atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, beverages are offered. Very talented technicians; they always do exactly what I ask for and the owner Jade is very nice. Cash is appreciated- probably due to the costs associated with cards but they certainly will take your card. I found myself looking to have my tacky-a** acrylics removed that were an absolute nightmare, in favor of SNS, the new nail dip system that keeps those digits looking super classy, and hard as... well, nails... And I heard about it from this gal who works at a pet store in West Linn, and she was awesome, so I listened. I'm desperate. I find Glamorous Nails on the Yelps and the reviews look favorable - also, it's about three miles from my house, next to a liquor store, so game on. I got an appointment same day. I waddled in, and Jade, who happens to be the owner is taking care of me, in both removal of the beasts, and new awesomeness. She's so nice and so good. She kept on telling me during the process, "just wait and see - they look like this crazy pile of sand on your fingers right now, but in moments, they will be transformed." That's not quite verbatim, but it's my interpretation. I'm a verbose listener, too. They are freaking gorgeous (and GREEN). What can I say? They are so thin. They are so fabulous. So, I went back AGAIN, because she told me that the stuff is like shellac, so removal is the same process, soak off. She removes the SNS, and my nails in one application are already stronger, which is stupid and makes no sense, and is some kind of f**king magic. Honestly. WTF. I love this place - the second time, I had Jade and her sister who is also a dreamy dreamboat. Oh, and of course there is wine, right? You need wine when you are pampering your paws or hooves or unibrow, whatever. This is my new place. I have one knock, but it's not worth removing a star for because other people like you probably love what I hate most. SPA MUSIC. I literally despise spa music. Look - if I wanted to go into a meditative state, I would do that elsewhere. I realize that people love to relax with that rubbish, but that is not me. I would much rather be jamming to some upbeat action I can sing to. When you start introducing bells, I just cannot even. Still - dope place. I used to love it here but the last 3 times Ive gone for pedicures. Aside of the price jump being added to to everything the quality has decreased. My pedicure was so rushed she used mostly and electronic file to clean them up and my toes are so thin under the shilac that I had to trim them down as much as possible to keep them from tearing. Yesterday I had the honor of meeting and being spoiled by V! She gave me the BEST foot rub I've ever received, did an amazing job on my pedicure. I came in at opening one day for a shellac manicure. I was quickly seen as I had an appointment. The nail technician was nice but the manicure itself was definitely lacking in professionalism. There was polish left all around my nails when she finished. There were multiple spots not completely covered in polish. I was disappointed with the manicure, especially with the price.
