I've been going here for like 3 years. Brenna is the best. She's comical, makes you comfortable, so sweet and does a great job with the wax. She literally left no hairs and it's perfect! The EWC is so clean, organized, extremely sanitary. If you do go please see Brenna she's the best! Also the front desk was super nice. I didn't catch her name but she had awesome nails! The first time I went here I had a wax done with a wax professional and was not satisfied with it. HOWEVER the manager was kind enough to let me rebook another one and I went in today and had the best wax of my life. ALLIE is the best waxer I've ever had. 10/10 personality and the wax wasn't painful at all. She also legit got every single hair and was just phenomenal. Will return here just to get waxed by her. Its unfortunate, that the 9 minute policy is only for certain people. If your friends with the girls at the desk it's as of the policy doesnt exist. I have been going to get waxed by christina for long time, she does incredible work. It sucks that the one time I'm late I cant get squeezed in. What am I not good enough to be squeezed in? The last time I went to get waxed, a woman was 25 minute late and the girls put her infront of me, and I'm 11 minutes late I get told NO sorry we cant bye bye. read more

I was a bit nervous to get waxed but I needed it and decided to give it a try. When you get there they have you scan a barcode to check in which was great. I waited in my car and they texted when it was my turn. Great. My waxer Allie was amazing from start to finish!!! She was so kind and so careful! I felt very safe and she did an amazing job! So I went here and got a wax from Daniella, she was not customer service friendly at all. That was actually the most awkward wax I've ever gotten in my life. You are suppose to lay the wax in the direction of the hair and pull off the opposite way, she was completely all over the place! She does not know how to apply or remove wax. My bikini area was extremely sore afterwards and still is 12 hours later. I do not recommend this wax specialist! read more

I love EWC ive been to the one in Merrick and i was for the most part satisfied. However i came to the Oceanside location and it was a different story. Now i have to admit the place was really clean and the waxer was super nice to me too I think her name was marrissa or Alyssa i cant remember now. But my brazillian was done terribly! I didnt even notice until i got home. There were patches in the inner lip and near the vaginal opening and the bum too i was highly pissed! Before i left i realized that there were a few "pricklies" she told me it was bc they were too short so she couldn't catch em. I felt jipped of $47 i probably wont go back there. Unless i could get a person who understands coarse hair. My advice, check your hoohah when u get home. They do offer a touch up appt but i couldn't get to mine bc of work. read more

I relocated to this location from another EWC and I am very disappointed. I had a Brazilian with Jessica M because I read the reviews and she had a good one, but I guess she was having a bad day. My wax felt rushed, she was taking very large sections and I understand every water does thing a differently but it was not pleasant. I am about a week post wax and have ingrowns and it is just uncomfortable the way the hair is growing back in. I've been waxing for about a year consistently and have not had this problem before. I never really feel the need to rush home and leave a good review but today was by far my best experience at European after being with them for about 4 years. This was my first time at this location and was taken care of by Evelyn. In all the years I've been a customer I have never had such a smooth painless waxing process as the one provided by her. Not only was the process smooth and painless (even though I waited two months to get waxed) she's so friendly I felt like she genuinely wanted to get to know me as her customer. On Friday, May 18, I went in to this location to get a Brazilian wax done by Nadie. Two days later I was admitted to the hospital diagnosed with cellulitis, caused by bacteria. Before being admitted, I was seen by 6 doctors, who all stated this was caused by something from the wax/waxer. After being admitted I was then in the hospital for 4 days, racking up a $40,000 hospital bill, along severe pain and unable to walk. On the third night I was there, they performed surgery to help relieve the pain. Even after all of this, the manager Amy was extremely rude and not cooperating with me wanting a letter stating I wouldn't be charged again. Amy's words at one point in the conversation were, "It was your responsibility!" Clearly, I would not recommend this location or waxer to anyone. I am writing this to make all customers aware and to be sure you question the waxer's every move. read more

I came to this location after a terrible experience with Garden City. I was a little skeptical because of all the reviews and a bad reputation that seemed to stem from years ago. I called and asked if they could recommend anyone. I wasnt familiar with the location and I was new to Oceanside so i didnt really have much to go on. They recommended Jeanne and she is such a sweetheart! From the moment you walk in she greets you warmly and then throughout the appointment she talks to you like you have known eachother forever! Its nice and a great distraction from what is actually going on. I had told her about my last experience at Garden City and that i had now had a really bad reaction and a lot of in grown hairs. She recommended the syrium and it wasnt like a sales call. I asked and she gave me her opinion which I completely trusted and was glad I listened. Even the women at the front desk take the time to provide great customer service. Like I mentioned, after a bad experience with Garden City, they offered to call and unfortunately learned first hand what I was dealing with when it came to the other location. They apologized that they couldnt do anything further but it was nice to not feel like I was by myself in my frustration. I would highly recommend this location!! read more

Update 2018: Saysha is now back at this location. - - - - - TWO IMPORTANT TIPS: SAYSHA IS NOT AT THIS LOCATION ANYMORE & DON'T BUY ANY PACKAGES! I've been coming here for over a year and have only been waxed by Saysha. She was recommended by many friends, coworkers, and family members that I know that have been seeing her for as long as she has been at this location. (And as you can tell from the other reviewers on here, they also recommend her.) Some of them have seen pretty much all the girls at this location but still recommend Saysha. She was always thorough, fast, I never needed any touch ups, and she knew how to deal with my texture of hair. I also never got many ingrown hairs and the waxing was always left smooth. She always recommended products that they sell and how to care for the waxing so it lasts. The reason I kept coming back and buying packages was because of how great she was and how comfortable she has made me from day one. I have gotten waxed at other places where either the waxing wasn't that great because they didn't know how to wax my hair and was left with patches or the service wasn't that great. But for the first time, I finally found someone I liked and I trusted to do a perfect job! Fast forward to two days before my wax appointment was scheduled and before I was going on vacation, I get a call saying that Saysha is on a leave of absence but then later in the day when I called back they said she isn't working at this location anymore. I was so upset and wrote to corporate. I got a call from Amy who claimed that it was a "personal circumstance" and she had to switch locations. I just feel like if that was the case then why isn't Saysha contacting me personally if she is just switching locations for her own "personal" reasons. Something just isn't right and I feel like something wrongful happened. Also, I'm upset because I recently bought a package and they won't give me a refund. When talking to my friends that have been going to EWC for years they told me that some of their favorite people either left or moved to another location without a choice. I tried another girl who was nice but she left a patch of hair and I was annoyed because I didn't have time to go back since my vacation was the next day. I'll probably give her another chance but it's just so annoying because I feel like I'm not getting what I paid for and I have more prepaid packages left. I would suggest just paying for each of your services as you go or get a small package of 2 or 3 services at a time so that if your waxer leaves you won't be left with so many prepaid services. read more

Never again will I go back here. Last minute I decided to try out European again for my eyebrows. The first time I had a wonderful experience. This time was awful. I asked the woman doing my eyebrows for a clean up. As I do not like my eyebrows thin or shortened. As she was doing my eyebrows I felt as if she was putting on too much wax, I was right. She ended up thinning out my eyebrows and shortening them. My eyebrows look like 2011 arched thin eyebrows. I am so disappointed. I hope this does not happen to anyone else and I hope they grow back quickly! I do not recommend going to European if you do not have a specific person you like going to. Ive been coming to this location for over 5 years and been waxing with this company over 8. I went in today to get a full Brazilian (includes butt strip) and full legs. Ive had both services done together in the past and usually takes 30-35 mins. Brazilian alone10-15 mins. I'm not super picky who does my wax so I usually go to any specialist. I could tell my waxer (forgot name) was new by the way she handled the wax. It took multiple pulls to pull off one wax strip making it more painful. There was wax all over the table and I had to ask for her to touch up some areas of my Brazilian. For the legs I decided to go on my phone to try and distract myself from the pain. BIG MISTAKE. I noticed as I was putting my pants back on that parts of my legs were still hairy and there was more wax left on them than usual. When I got home I realized there was still a lot of hair that wasn't taken off from my Brazilian that I couldn't see when I was there. It took her over a hour to wax me and she still left hair. I paid 152$ and even tipped ‍ what a waste of money. read more

I've moved around a lot but the Oceanside EWC is the best location I've ever been to. Since reopening, I've been going to see Linda G. She's amazing! Really takes her time perfecting your eyebrows. After 3 visits, my eye brows are symmetrical for the first time in my entire life. After a horror wax story at a nail salon, Linda revived my eyebrows. Recently visited EWC for the first time. I was really impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness. The lady at the front desk greeted me right away as I walked in the door. The waxiest (not sure the technical name) was out immediately and was very accommodating since I had my 2 year old with me . She was very professional and made me feel very comfortable while I was having my services done. Really wish I could remember her name, thinking Amanda. The wax was amazing, they use a sugar wax in which helps with redness an is less evasive so the pain is minimal. Highly recommend this location, plus you first eyebrow is free! read more

MARINA! MARINA! MARINA! I have been getting waxed by Marina for the past 2 years and I was extremely happy to find out she is now working at this location. Marina is thorough and never leaves a single hair! She will go in with a tweezer if she has to lol. She is extremely reliable- never misses a shift and is always on time. Marina is also fast- I can trust that I will be in and out the door in 15 minutes or less. Although she is fast, I can guarantee you that your wax will be painless! Coming from California I needed to find a new European Wax Center. I jumped around a couple until I found this location. The front desk staff is so friendly and helpful. One time I was scheduled with a different waxer than I thought I scheduled. The staff were so nice and helped me switch my appointment to the one I usually see on the same day. Yesterday the front staff let me know about the promotions before I went into my wax and when I came out had already figured out how different packages would benefit me, which I really appreciated. Jessica is one of the best waxers I ever had. I trust all of her recommendations. She makes sure she gets all the hair and is very attentive to details. She is super friendly and sweet. Let me first say that I adore my waxing girl in Manhattan that I have been going to for about a year now. The only reason I changed is because I moved and I needed to get something more convenient to visit on the weekends. Luckily I found Saysha at The Oceanside EWC location! I was so nervous to try someone new (and felt like I was cheating on my other girl), but Saysha made everything so relaxed and professional. The wax was different than I was used to as well, but she calmed my fears and was attentive to my needs. It ended up being a blue peel off wax and it was more gentle that the pulling of the papers. I ended up buying a package because the prices could not be beat once broken down that is, and they allow you to pay in installments! The front desk staff was amazing also! They have infinite amounts of patience and they too, are extremely attentive. Cannot recall the name of the girls that were there when I was, but I stopped back in the following day to grab another product and those girls were wonderful as well. Everyone that I dealt with was a part of this 5 star experience! The place is super clean and the experience was as good and even better than once would ever imagine of their uncomfortable and awkward Brazilian wax. Loved it! read more
