Vivian did my Mother's Day nails, and she did an amazing job! I am so happy with how they turned out. As usual, she went above and beyond for me. Prices have gone up recently, but that seems to be the case with everything else too. I stumbled upon this place after visiting Sexy Crab Restaurant next door. I had high hopes being that the establishment was in LI, not too far from where I work. I figured I'd be able to treat myself once in a while. I am able to do my own nails, but I need a break sometimes. Upon arrival, I was greeted politely and was seen quickly as the place was somewhat empty. I'm not going to mention who was assigned to do my pedicure because it is not my intention to embarrass anyone. I can say that she finished my pedicure rather quickly. My nails were barely filed, under my feet barely scrubbed, and nails were not properly painted. I will attach photo. I did try to communicate details that could've fixed some of the issues, but either it was a language barrier or the pedicurist couldn't be bothered that day. As I was leaving, I was asked "how was it?" by who may have been the owner/manager... I said it was okay. You could tell I was underwhelmed, but that was it and I was sent on my way. I contemplated never returning and forgoing writing a review with video footage I recorded as I had high hopes and thought it was going to be a great experience. The next day was a Saturday and I looked down at my feet and was not satisfied that I paid for nothing. (I will be attaching close up of the photo) I decided to call and explain the situation. I got thru and was told I can come in Monday after work. I did just that and had to explain what felt like a million times that the service wasn't up to par and to please look at my toe nail polish as evidence. I was given the okay to come in and still felt like I was on trial for something I didn't do. I was paired with a pregnant nail tech who seemed annoyed, didn't understand me at first... so I thought... then when I eventually gave up and asked for no nail polish and to please let me just go with clear polish... she all of a sudden understood. That was yet another frustration. Although I did nothing wrong... I felt bad that she was pregnant having to fix someone else's mistake. I left her a tip anyway because of the time she spent with me. I am also in the service industry and I have manners. Potential or not... Customer Service is important! Be honest and forthright with what can and cannot be done. And give to patrons what they pay their hard earned money for. Prayerfully things change for the better with each review. For the record I visited Friday, May 1st and went back on Monday, May 4th to get a redo. I waisted my money, time, gas, and my breath explaining to employees who couldn't care less. And no manager on site. The one time in a a long time I wanted to treat myself made this experience that much worse. read more

I think I must've had a very off experience. Maybe a little unorganized? First thing I called and scheduled my appointment. When I was on the phone the girl told me only 10am was available the day I had asked for I said ok that's fine. When I went to recheck the day I was booked for I noticed the confirmation text said the wrong day. I called and they said oh no you are booked on the right day at 11am not 10am. Ok, obviously some kind of mix up that's fine. I arrived and they tell me pedicure first. That's fine. Once I settle in they said oh no nails first bc your tech is here. Ok. I sit to get my gel mani done first. And I'm just waiting... my tech finally arrives but no one even gave me swatches to pick. He gives me colors and is staring at me so now I feel rushed. Ok picked a color quick. Got my gel done realized after how thin the gel was on my nails. Yikes, I'm going away on a 2 week vacation hope they last. I've honestly never gotten gel done that thin before at a salon. They usually put a substantial amount on it to keep my nails strong. I only noticed once my nails were done so there's that. I go get my pedicure now. The girl was pretty quick. Seemed to apply the gel fine but I was answering work emails so I wasn't fully paying attention but I thought to myself, they didn't really clean under my nails at all. When I got home I double checked and I was right. Every other salon I've been to cleans under the nails... I go to pay the girl who did my pedicure rang me up. I pay cash. Tip both techs and begin to walk out. As I walk out they stop me and tell me they under charged me... I had to pay an additional $15. Ok mistakes happen but still a little awkward. To top it off the next day I noticed one of my nails began to break... that thin layer of gel is definitely not lasting and I'm on vacation for 2 weeks. *update top layer already peeling off after one week* I really love that space but not sure if I'd go back. I almost want to keep this nail salon a secret, they are the best of the best. I left my Queens nail tech after 7 years to establish a new relationship with this salon, so that's a statement! Justin and Adam are excellent, im sure the others are too! My nails are always perfect and they get the shapes just RIGHT! The process to remove dip powder is so soft and easy, they have this delightful acetone and I never thought I'd say something like that. I switched to builder gel for the first time after doing dip for 7 years and I love it better! I have no pain or fears getting my nails done now :) read more

The first few times I went here they were amazing. Vivian does a fantastic spa pedicure. However, unfortunately, the last two services I had were not good. Similar to Kathii R.'s experience, I made an appointment with the nail tech for a spa pedicure and the lady who makes appointments never adjusted the appointment time to the correct time so it was a huge debacle to just get my spa pedicure done. Eventually, Vivian did it and she did a good job with the spa pedicure like she did before. All I got was an apology from the lady from Nepal who schedules appointments and does eyebrow threading- I can't remember her name. Anyways, this same lady from Nepal schedules my appointment for November 30th at 6:00 p.m. with Vivian for Chrome nails and spa pedicure. When I get there, the first thing Vivian does is try to pass me off to another nail tech "because she doesn't have time" since my Chrome nails take over an hour to get done. She also tried to pass off my spa pedicure as a regular pedicure "to save time." She tried to blame the other lady because she didn't realize how long these services take. Once I realized what she was doing, I informed her I had asked for a spa pedicure and she explained that she thought I agreed to just have a regular pedicure when I explained I didn't. She finally proceeded to do a spa pedicure. She explained Saturdays are not good days for them because they have to go to church that evening.. They then had another technician try to do Chrome on my nails but he didn't know what he was doing- they came out very thick and dark colored not at all like the image of the color I showed them I wanted on my phone. All the while, this nail tech was conversing with Vivian and another nail tech, trying to figure out what to do in Vietnamese instead of admitting they had no idea how to do this. They did some nails with a white color gel base and others with a black gel base so that is always a recipe for disaster. Anyways, when I explained these were not the colors I requested, they asked me to come back the next day which I did. When I arrived, they explained that the nail tech they scheduled me with me was out sick. They have my phone number but they never let me know this before my appointment. They had some guy do my nails which were mostly good but partially chipped but instead of fixing them he took on another customer and stopped interacting with me. I was ignored until I asked the scheduler mentioned above who will fix my chipped nails. She asked me to come back an hour later which is insane given that I made the appointment the night before. What's more is they tried to ask me to come back again the following day instead of coming back an hour later that Sunday! When I came back an hour later, Vivian also had to take more dead skin off of my feet because did not do a proper job during my spa pedicure the previous night. Then, she tried to do my nails Chrome-now for a third time taking off Brisa- which she recommended I put on to my strengthen my nails and putting it back on later. Well, when Vivian did my nails, they began totally peeling the next day, something that never happened in any of my visits to this nail salon beforehand. Not only that but my nails began breaking as well down to the core! So unacceptable when you pay so much for your nails! They also know I live out of state and only come to Long Island about once a month unreal! The salon is clean which I love but they do not care about retaining me as a customer. Its a shame and its highly unacceptable when you pay this much to get your nails done. I only posted this now because I am off this week (note pictures are from awhile ago) but sorry will never get my nails done here again. Maybe a spa pedicure that's all! I never had this issue with Adam the nail tech but good luck getting him to do your nails. They don't even have a manager on site only Vivian is acting manager. What's more is Vivian tried to act like it was my fault because I didn't know what I wanted on my nails which is an outright lie- I showed all the nail techs pictures and Vivian and the the first nail tech just didn't know how to do bright Chrome nails. I should add that this is a far cry from the first time I came here when Adam stayed well beyond hours to do a great job on my Chrome nails. I did not want them to stay this late and I told them I would come back the next day to do my nails since it was getting late but they insisted I stay. The nail techs have a strong work ethic but need to learn to stick to their word if they want to retain customers especially in Long Island where I grew up! read more

Terrible polishing and filing done by Alex. He also doesnt understand English well. I will not return. They had to have a girl redo my gel mani. I paid $60 and tipped $11. I will not return here. Very expensive for inexperienced tech. He didn't go all the way to the edge of my toenails with the polish. The corners are bare. I can do better. I told him after one nail that its too sheer. He said its ok I do 2 coats. Horrible setvice.​ read more

I really wanted to like this nail place as it's very clean and nice place inside. First time I went, the woman who did my nail design apologized profusely after finishing my service, that she couldn't do design. It was a very simple design. Which typically, I don't expect carbon copy of the design but this was clearly way out of her depth. She had colleagues peer over her shoulder just watching instead of potentially helping her and giving tips on how to better do the design nor did she ask someone else to do it. Second time, my friend and I made appointments a month in advance. To find out, the nail tech my friend booked with wasn't coming in and they had the nail tech I booked with start on someone else's service. They told my friend they called twice to which my friend said she wouldn't have known what their phone number is if they called and they left no voicemail or text message to let her know the person she originally booked with wasn't coming in. She still received the reminder text the day before to remind her of the appointment and still had the original nail tech listed. I also received the reminder showing my original nail tech listed. They asked if we can reschedule tomorrow but we couldn't...there was reason why we booked a month in advance! They kept asking if we can wait longer, or if we can come back the next day. All the while just telling my friend they called her...again the issue isn't that you called, the issue is you didn't leave a voicemail or sent a message. Luckily the other nail salon down the road was able to take both of us as walk-ins. read more
