I eventually found me a stylist in Charlotte whom I love and adore, however what's better than one stylist than two ? My original stylist (who I go to for certain things ) wasn't available for around my Bday and wedding renewal as she had to do hair for a Elle mag shoot, so I told my teenager I think I'm screwed so she went on a search for me on IG and found this salon and another one but after reading the site for this salon I wanted in. I started doing my research per stylist and tried to get an appointment for the ones I pulled up that I liked and they were all booked for months out. I was almost defeated until I saw the newbie on their site who had books wide open. I was super skeptical thinking if she is so available maybe she isn't good. I decided to take a leap of faith and check her out two weeks before my wedding for a trial style and I let her know my thoughts during my consultation which is required by the way. When I say Kandice ROCKED my hair I mean it. She is amazing and very sweet. The salon is clean, the staff all work together & seem to adore one another. If they don't I'm glad they know how to keep it professional. I ended up back here on my Bday which was 4 days before my 10 year wedding renewal and my stylist knew it was my bday. When I headed up front to pay I looked down into my wallet and by the time I looked up all the stylist were surrounding me singing a Lucky Salon original Bday song. It made my morning complete I felt the love. Amazing place with amazing people and wonderful stylist. P.S I had a coloring session that Bday morning by Ms.Cynthia. She colored me before I got styled by my stylist Candice. Cynthia is a great lady as well and very nice.

But this time I set an appointment on Friday at 4:15 with a "level 5 stylist named Sara, I told Sarah I just needed it cleaned up I had a wedding to go to, she started cutting my hair differently than i remember the owner had cut my hair while, and she was just trying to "shape" my hair, and she was not a small lady let's say and she was just leaning her stomach on me 3/4 of the whole time she was cutting my hair she proceeds to completely fuck my left side where I just wanted it buzzed down with a 1 and it fades up a little longer going toward the top of my head, and then says "the last person who cut your hair didn't know what they were doing", and just talking down on who cut my hair last, in which I really liked the first 2 times I had been. On top on that she tries to hide it and pushes my longer hair on top over it, and rushes away telling her apprentice to "style" me, doesn't show me the cut with mirrors so I can see the different angles, then the apprentice is over here just drowning me with the spray bottle, says oh let me get you a towel so it doesn't get on your face...proceeds to set it on my back gets finished up, set the towel down doesn't even offer it to me or nothing tells the desk lady to check me out... 57$ they charged me, I was so mad. I just went probably a month ago when the owner did it and it was only 30$. A simple rod set was my request and though she didn't have the traditional rods the long cushion rollers worked just as good and this chic was very fast, I swear she rolled my hair in 20 minutes or less...quite impressive as I have experienced much longer roll time for this particular style. I expect very few things when dealing with salons especially if I am a first time client........ things that I consider no brainer's and they are....some line of questioning about my hair(history, etc.), a general idea that healthy hair is your priority, thorough shampooing of my hair, and the benefit of being able to explain how I like my hair.......simple. I realize that all stylist are clearly not created equal but some things in my opinion are just the standard. I was satisfied with the result of my hair but it may take a bit more for a second visit.
