I went in for a simple haircut and root touch-up, and the experience was a nightmare. The guy who did my hair had zero clue what he was doing. My hair is now two completely different colors, and the haircut is by far the worst I've ever had. This place clearly has no business dealing with women's hair and seems desperate for customers. If you're a man getting a buzz cut, maybe they can handle that. But if you care even slightly about how your hair looks, run the other way. This was a waste of time, money, and trust. My hair stylist was watching a movie with one earbud in so every time I would try to explain to her what I wanted, she wouldn't hear me; I found that to be quite irresponsible, especially given the fact that had scissors in her hands. Informed the salon upon my visit that I didn't need the root touch up but was happy with the price I'd paid for the Groupon and didn't expect any discount. Sat for 20 mins waiting for the stylist to finish with another customer. She came over to me and told me I'd need to pay an extra $15 for having "thick hair". I have fine, shoulder-length hair and have never once in my life been told I have thick hair. I argued that I had paid for a service I wasn't even using so they shouldn't expect me to pay extra but the stylist held firm. I left and won't go back. There was a gentleman there who was nice but everyone else seemed unwelcoming. I'm very disappointed but should have read more reviews before I bought the Groupon. Each time we are in Brooklyn my boss always goes to Glamour salon and always to Ksenya. Never mind that they both talking to each other in their native language(which is an additional bonus) , she is extremely good in coloring, cutting or just a wash and setup of my wife's hair. I had a wonderful experience here! Irina is extremely skillful and detail-oriented, and gave me exactly the kind of highlights and dimensionality I was looking for. She was really easy to talk to, and has a great sensibility for what is elegant and in style. If you want your hair to be treated like art, Suat is the best hair artist you want. I went there for hair color and hair cut before my vacation. Suat handled my hair so preciously, that it was obvious, how much he loved doing his work. I loved the color on my hair, he got it exactly how I described it. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I went for a root touch up for my brown hair and they colored it black! The worker's name was Dorka. I am beyond angry!!! Once your hair is dyed black there is no way to change it other than bleaching your hair. My hair is long and it will take years to outgrow this. Plus, my brown roots will soon become visible and it will be so obvious that this was a horrendous color job. And I paid $100 for this horrible deed. Dorka--one word, KARMA! I made an appointment here and on the phone noted that I was using a Groupon but knew to tip on the full amount. When I showed up, though, I was told I would have to pay a 50% premium because my hair was thick. (It is, maybe, slightly thicker than average.) When I objected, I was told to look at the fine print in the Groupon, which says they can charge extra. I suggested that if charging extra was standard, they should have said so on the phone. Got a haircut here today. First of all, barber cut my neck. I don't know why he even started teeming the front side of my neck. He said my skin is too sensitive? Wtf?! Second of all, you need to train all of your barbers how to handle a small talk. The barber was so pushy to have a conversation. He was asking a lot of personal questions. Thank you Dorka!!!! I came in for a pretty big hairstyle change--I'm donating my hair and wanted to go from a down-my-back, slightly layered cut to just above my shoulders. Dorka was able to fit me in with just about an hour's notice and was so friendly and courteous from the moment I walked in. She carefully put my cut hair in ponytails to ensure the donation would be accepted and even gave me a bag to take it in. She asked clarifying questions throughout to be sure she was giving me the cut I wanted, and was just a delight to be around in general. Best of all, it only took about 40 minutes and was $65 for a wash, cut, and blow dry, about $80 with tip (amazing price for the area and quality). Despite discovering a talented and kind stylist Dorka during the pandemic, my positive experiences at the salon have been marred by the unprofessionalism and racist comments of another stylist paulette- who's chair is right across from Dorka. The rundown, ancient, barber shop, Vibe, which isn't, my usual preference, was bearable thanks to Dorka, personally.Unfortunately, Paulette's offensive racist remarks prompted me to reconsider, and even after, addressing the issue with the owner, no significant action was taken. The salons tolerance for such behavior, including comments made to a child and incidents where people of color are staged outside the doors is disheartening. While I value Dorka skill I cannot support a business that condones racism, bigotry and colorism. They swear they are apologizing, and say sorry but do nothing stay silent and sit idle. The owner is and employs individuals contributing to TOXIC ATMOSPHERE. A salon visit should be positive, feel good place and unfortunately, this one fall short period. In conclusion no one should be exposed to this especially when paying a substantial amount . I was not offered money back or anything some conditioner dorka never gave me . And yes their Groupon is upcharged , conditioner toner extra . Things that are included at other salons. the overall Toxic Atmosphere, in the presence of an unprofessional stylist makes it difficult for me to recommend or continue patronage. read more

Angela was my stylist today and she is truly dedicated and an extraordinary stylist, she spent hours working on my hair until it was absolutely perfect. The price was very affordable and well worth it. The owner was even kind enough to give me products to keep my new hair healthy after the long treatment.
