My gosh so ridiculous the cost of this salon. My hair is mid back and when I went there they applied 5 applications of dye to my hair. So excessive and such a sneaky way of extorting money from me. Would never go there again. If you do go there for hair dye get FULL disclosure of what they will be charging you specifically on how many times they are mixing up more solution!!! Total rip off. came here just for a lightening of my balayage and for my blonde to be brought up more. JESSICA was the stylist. she knew how bad my hair looked that she didn't even turn me to LOOK IN THE MIRROR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! before i left. i wasted so much damn money on this absolute disaster of hair. she knew how shitty it looked and let me walk out of the salon with it on my head. wouldn't even let me look at it before i left & wouldn't even check my out. i cried for hours due to her pure negligence. she needs her license revoked this is insane. multiple different shades of blonde , harsh roots , and incredibly uneven color. fuck this salon and fuck jessica. i should've got my money back when i had the chance. thank you for ruining my hair salon experience i had to re bleach it to get it fixed and had to chop off inches , ruined my length and my integers of my hair. thanks jessica. :) read more

My intention was to even out my blond Outgrowth with my gray roots. I used an over the counter color 5 months prior that had faded. I even showed her the picture of the box I used. My hair was below my bra line in the back and was pretty healthy. When Jessica suggested we go with straight BLEECH to create the white blonde I was shooting for I trusted her judgement. We discussed getting a cut.. I said I wanted to keep my length but add some layers for a little body. I showed her the pic I attached below. I showed several pictures of similar cuts I liked. I told her I wanted to still be able to keep a ponytail. So with that settled she started in the back and proceeded to give me a full foil highlight. At some point half way she wasn't really done foiling the front she checked the back and said let's go to rinse the back. I assumed that she was doing to rinse some and then go finish the front. But then I sat there while she went over to the color shelf and looked perplexed about what toner to use or something. She finally came back and put toner in my whole head. I guess the highlights were done. As she was squeezing out my hair she said "welp, you have purple hair!" I thought she was just joking. Well we got back to my chair and she made me face the wall so I couldn't see the mirror. Then she started talking more about my haircut and how cute I'd look in a lob. Unknowingly I started looking on Pinterest to see what this cut looked like and it was cute but I want so sure I was ready to go that short. My daughter was there and I asked for her opinion and she didn't want to get involved so she said to do what I wanted. I said well maybe a longer version would be cool but I didn't want to go short on the top layers. She kept asking me if I wanted to go shorter and I was really nervous. I kept hesitating and feeling the pressure. It was at that moment I got VIOLATED by Jessica and she just started cutting the back of my hair while saying that "clients say that all the time but they just need someone to make the choice for them" and as she was cutting into my hair I was saying "I'm not comfortable". "You're cutting too much" and she kept reassuring me that the length was there and she was just evening things out. She kept telling me "your the boss and I'm doing what you want". But I did not want short hair. I did not ask for this. She kept referring to how the color didn't come out because I used a box color and the box color is the reason my air turned out so orange. She admitted to me (as she was chopping off her mistake) that my hair turned orange and she was worried until after she added the violet toner. So there I sat with wet short hair stunned. She dried it... put a few curls in it then said...there! I asked for a mirror so I could see the back and the second she handed the mirror to me she ran away to the front desk with her tail between her legs as if hiding from my reaction. Who does that? What hairstylist leaves their client at the chair with their cape still on? One that knows they f@&ed it up and doesn't want to be there to see their reaction. Well, I have to say Jessica really played it off. She even got me to purchase purple shampoo and conditioner which has made my scalp itchy and irritated. It was evident that the salon staff felt the pain and awkwardness of how bad a job it was. So when I left and was still in the parking lot, I felt really bad because my daughter referred me to Jessica and I didn't want my daughter to have a negative reaction the next time so I even went back in to say it's ok I like it. Well.... Let me just say the next morning when I took a shower I stood there and cried at how short my hair was and how much it was a regret. Jessica.... You cut my hair to hide your color debacle. You should have known better and you should never just cut into someone's hair like that. I really didn't want my hair to be short. You took that away from me and I hate it now. It's NOT ok. Own your mistakes Jessica. I would rather have long orange hair than short crappy color hair. read more

This was my first hair cut since my mother (who was my hairdresser) passed away from breast cancer a year ago. My mother was hair dresser for over 30 years. My older sister happens to be a hairdresser as well, but lives in chicago. I decided to try and get my hair cut here because it's for convenient for me, and that way I'm not making my visits with my sister all about cutting my hair. These pictures attached are proof of just how bad my hair was cut by Carmen. This not only was a terrible haircut, but it was also extremely distressful. I'm very disappointed in the seemingly lack of care that went into this cut. Carmon was very nice and pleasant, we did do a consultation before hand but she was not communicative while cutting my hair. We did not discuss an angled bob, nor did she tell me that's what she was doing. Upon examining my hair, it looks like an angled bob was trying to be achieved. This cut was just executed so poorly. I'm just so thankful my sister was willing to make the trip and come fix my hair the next day! I went to this salon because of all of the great reviews. Unfortunately this was not the case for me. Needless to say, I will not be going back. My husband did contact the salon and explained what I had found when coming home, and they did reach out to get me to come back to have it fixed free of charge. But there was no way I was going to go back and have it fixed by the same person who chopped it up in the first place! read more

Let me just say that I LOVE this salon. I have been seeing Mayte for a few years and she is fantastic. I have very curly difficult to manage hair. Mayte is always able to gently detangle my hair, apply perfect color, thoroughly wash and condition, blowout, straighten, and cut my hair . The stylists at Glamour Hair Design are talented and experienced. I have never found a stylist who can handle my natural hair and give me perfect results. My baby shower is tomorrow, and Mayte just did a new look for me. My only suggestion is to ask about pricing beforehand. I often do the same color, cut, and style.This most recent time I changed the color technique, and the price was almost double what I normally pay and expect. Nonetheless, I love my new look and will not go anywhere else to get my hair done. read more

I just got a great cut at Glamour from Carmen. I've been to several salons in the area and not all of them take the time to do a proper consult. She was very thorough, asking questions before it was washed, getting to know what tools/products I use, and making suggestions that I ended up loving. She also was able to give several suggestions of different ways to style it depending on what kind of volume etc I desire. The salon itself is clean and inviting. I think something that speaks well for a salon is when you like all of the hairstylists' own hair. I will definitely be returning. read more

The salon looks very nice and clean. Although I've been there a few times and have been happy, my last visit left me very displeased.
