I recently visited Ruby Luu for a brow service, hoping to achieve a well-defined and flattering brow shape. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I left feeling extremely disappointed with the results. To start with, the service I received was subpar. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked professionalism. They barely acknowledged me upon arrival and seemed to rush through the entire process. As a customer, I expected to be treated with respect and given individual attention, but that was clearly lacking during my visit. Moreover, the brow specialist who attended to me appeared inexperienced and lacked the necessary skills for shaping brows properly. Despite my clear instructions on the shape and thickness I desired, the technician disregarded them and proceeded to reshape my brows in a completely different way. The end result was far from what I had envisioned and was definitely not flattering. It was evident that the technician didn't possess the expertise required to achieve a precise and aesthetically pleasing brow shape. Not only were the results disappointing, but the overall cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired. The workstations appeared unkempt, and the tools used during the procedure did not seem adequately sanitized. The poor results, combined with the lackluster service and unhygienic environment, made the whole experience a regrettable waste of both time and money. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking professional and well-executed brow services. DO NOT COME HERE FOR TRAINING I am extremely disappointed and feel obligated to warn anyone considering taking a microblading or permanent makeup course here: please stay away. I trusted Ruby Luu (Luu Thuy Hong) after seeing her online advertisements and photos, and I paid $2,000 for her training program. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a costly mistake. She completely lacks the ability to teach in a clear, structured, and professional manner. There was no proper curriculum, no detailed explanations, and no real guidance. It became obvious that she is only interested in taking students' money rather than truly helping them learn. On top of her poor teaching, she was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. She asked me to come to her salon and then left me waiting for 3-4 hours while she worked on other clients. When I tried to discuss my concerns, she was rude, dismissive, and took no responsibility for her misleading promises. This was one of the worst learning experiences I have ever had. If you value your money, time, and professional growth, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. I went back to Vietnam couple times to see her and now she's here, a little closer, still 2 hours away from me. But that's worthy because my brows always look natural and beautiful. I knew right away it was the place for me. It was many weeks before I was able to make an appointment as my calendar limited. After booking it online (totally for this process) I received a text asking me preliminary questions as well as requests for screenshots of my brows. Long story short, Denise is a professional. Doing her homework to assure her success and her clients satisfaction. She proceeded to suggest a style and shape and drew it on my brows to show me what it would look like. When I told her I had my own ideas and wanted to look similar to the way my brows were before the over plucking and over shaving and age, she did not necessarily agree with me. But because they're my brows and I explained in detail what I wanted, she went with my request. When she was finished, she was pleased and mentioned she had not done this style but was going to put them as an option to her classic styles.
