I recently decided to try Glamour Nail Salon after seeing all the positive reviews, and I took my mom along for a fun outing. The ladies at the salon were very nice, and the ambiance was lovely--there was music playing, and the space was clean and inviting. However, as much as I wanted to love this place, I'm honestly pretty disappointed. As you can see in the photos, my nails are already chipping, which I think is really frustrating given how much I paid for the service. It's honestly a bit upsetting to see the work isn't holding up well. Also, the salon seems to be a bit understaffed, so I'd recommend calling ahead and making an appointment to avoid waiting. Overall, it was a good experience, but unfortunately, I won't be returning due to the quality of the manicure. PS: The other reason I decided to come here was because I was getting a manicure for my anniversary dinner and was planning to be out this week, so honestly, I'm really disappointed they won't look good.

Kim is very precise with her work and can make a gel manicure last up to over a month which is so rare to find. She is so sweet and truly makes the atmosphere so welcoming. Today I did my nails and chose this cool design. It's a royal blue checkered design with a heart All thanks to my favorite and well skilled nail tech Tina! She did my nails fast and it ofc it turned out sooo nice! I love them sooo much and would recommend to have her as your nail tech as always Nail service with her is 10/10! I have been going to Kim since I was a USC student and now I live in Koreatown and DTLA! I always go to Kim to get my nails done and recently began my gel builder (natural nail journey). This is by far the best nail salon that I have ever been to. She is very knowledgeable and friendly and professional. Made my natural nails look like gel x nails and emphasizes healthy nails and nail growth. As soon as you walk in your greeted with polite smiles. The nails techs are detailed and quick. My toe nails were cleaned well with out hurting me they got my end nails that were bugging me out with no fuss. Kim did my nails. She suggested this Beautiful design, after asking me a few questions and nailed my style. Ended up doing hard gel with a cat eye , they have a wide selection on Cat eye colors. Extremely rude and unprofessional experience -- do not recommend for nails. I've come to Glamour Nail Spa several times for pedicures and usually have a pleasant experience, especially when the manager is there during the week. She's always kind, accommodating, and professional. Unfortunately, my most recent visit for a manicure was completely different and absolutely disappointing. I went in wanting to do my natural nails -- no extensions, just a simple French tip with brown cheetah print. I even showed the technician a picture for reference, and she said she could do it. She took a photo of my inspo, started working, and quickly realized she couldn't execute the design. That was fine -- I was flexible and asked for a cat-eye design instead. Instead of properly removing the original color she'd already started, she just painted over it. I trusted her when she said she knew what she was doing, but midway through, she realized she had used two completely different colors on my nails -- some gold and some brown. When I pointed it out, she said "oops" and then painted over the gold nails with the brown color instead of removing them. By the end, my nails had so many layers -- base coat, cheetah color, gold, and now brown -- that they looked bulky and uneven. The French tips were crooked, and you could still see the old design showing through. When I mentioned this politely, she blamed the shape of my natural nails rather than her technique. The tips were thick and lumpy while the nail beds were thin -- overall a mess. At that point, I asked her to remove everything. Her attitude was dismissive the entire time, and when I said I no longer wanted her to redo them, she was completely rude. When I asked for her name so I could follow up with the manager (whose number I have), she said, "You don't need my name," with an attitude. It's clear the level of service drops drastically when the manager isn't there. I won't be returning for nail services -- big mistake trying anything beyond a pedicure here. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that values customer service and knows how to handle a simple manicure. read more

I've been to a few places to do my nails, but never really cared for it. I can usually do them on my own. Felt like giving it another try and I decided to give this place a try and I was VERY impressed with my nail tech, Tavy! She was super sweet and professional. Service was fine but I couldn't enjoy it. If you liked to be bad gossiped by the staff this is the place to be. One of the girls I'm sure she's new or not I believe her name is Kim believes talking about customer in her language is appropriate. Racist watched me walk to my car to put my stuff down then politely overcharged me the shop is mid and the artist are too asked for a design and she just looked at me stupid then say yo and asked me for 105 dollars for a basic ass wobbly French tip with a dusty chrome setting. Walked in on a Saturday morning and it was already somewhat busy, but they were able to take me in and accommodate right away. Got a mani/pedi and eyebrow/lip wax- and it was all so quick and the service was so friendly! I had Annie, Tina and Sandy- and they're all super professional and so nice. I would also encourage anyone to talk with them about their stories - being Cambodian Chinese refugees who immigrated here. It nice to get to know these folks and get nails done at the same time! read more

However my favorite n talented nail tech is Tina and she is the only one who does my nails n feet ... the other person I trust is Jenny with my waxing needs... Tina takes her time n listens to your needs and wants. If you want good looking nails ask for Tina whether it's hands or feet she's your girl ! Look her up on IG for her work tina_nail_service ... To my surprise, I got a response from Connie of Glow Beauty Waxing, who told me Han was no longer in the state and that she, Connie, would be taking care of all clients in the meantime. She assured me that she'd been working with Han for over ten years, and that yes, she could see me that very afternoon. Han is apparently in Hawaii now, unless of course Connie has Talented Mr. Ripleyed her and taken her phone number and client list. I suspect this is not the case, as Connie is very sweet. She is also an excellent esthetician, and I will be going to her from now on for all my eyebrow needs. I met her in her little room inside Cherie Nail at the Koreatown Galleria, next to the food court. It was a neat, functional space, with a single bed for customers to lie down and entrust her with their faces. It had been over a year since my last microblading appointment, and the pigment had definitely faded. Connie also pointed out that it had turned slightly red, noting that the fine lines made by microblading smudged and turned reddish on some people's skin. She suggested a different permanent makeup technique that might be better for me, and I told her to go ahead and do as she thought best. She sketched out a shape, which I approved, then waxed my brows and started the process of filling them in. I took a nap and woke up with fresh, handsome eyebrows that had no relation to my DNA. Connie used a technique I'd never heard of called powder spray, and it looks fantastic. Less natural than microblading but like meticulous make-up, better than any pencil job I've ever done. It was also significantly less painful than microblading. It's been a little over a week and I love my new eyebrows. I also love that I don't have to think about them until my touch-up in a month or so, and for another year or whatever after that. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.
