I've never walked out of a nail appointment so unhappy. First off, I booked online with the artist Thuy. Upon arrival to my appointment I was asked to wait around 15 min and then was given my previous artist. Strange, but okay I guess I'll have the same person again. I showed my reference photos and we got started but once the color was put on one nail we realized it was not anywhere near the reference photo. We then decided to go with another color however because it was more of a milk texture, it came out transparent and required 3 coats and still did not match the color on the sample nail. I explained I wanted a lighter blue and this was giving grey so the artist told me they would do a light coat of a lighter blue on top. Great let's do it! Upon applying now the 4th coat, the nails were bubbling and uneven strokes showing.... I told the artist I can't accept this work and they reluctantly filed off all the color. I'm honestly shocked they were willing to let me walk out with that in the first place. I accepted that I'm just going to have to get nails I never wanted and I was being polite given it's now been over 2 hours so I said hey let's not even do any design can you give me studs instead. I showed the reference photo which is so simple and I got my accents done sloppily and crooked. My husband said it looks like if he attempted to do my nails for me. ( he's never done nails) I did nicely speak to the lady in front and explained to her my frustrations given I sat for 2.5 hours to 1) not get the artist I booked with ( she said even if you book online with them you have to call to confirm it... it doesn't say that on the site and why have the option then to pick?) 2) a really bad nail job. They offered me 10% off. I still paid in total $80 for this nail set and I still tipped my nail person because I'm nice human and I know everyone has bills to pay. I really expected more from this place but overall I expected better service. I am someone that easily tips 25-30% for any service I get done. I am super polite and friendly and not difficult at all and I felt completely taken advantage of here. I will now have to go and get my nails redone somewhere else as they provided me with no other choice but to come back next time and try it out with another artist, the one I originally booked with. My nails are burning and there's top coat stuck all under my nails that I'm peeling off myself. I feel so disrespected and sad especially because I came here off the referral of my good friends whose nails were done so beautifully by the same person. So why then was I treated differently. I've seen this artist do way more complicated designs than what I requested so it goes to show how little they cared about making sure I walked out satisfied. Oh and lastly, the lady at the front claims she has no change when they want you to pay in cash. I thought was also rude given I saw her open the register and give change to several customers. I finally found a nail salon that actually seems they know how to serve guest. One day I'll try designs but on the reviews the designs seems like effort was put into it. Other salons waste your time and pretend they know what they're doing then waste your time and leave home with plain nails. But besides what I have seen on images I only asked for pedicure a the nice man attended to me according to my time. Checked in and sat down. The price menu was amazing and transparent and honest. I did feel there was any hidden fees. So thank you guys for the quality of their work and transparency. On my first visit, I was initially satisfied with my service. Even though I disagree with charging for gel polish removal for a gel pedicure. However, less than one week later I needed the polish touched up on one of my toes. I went back so they could fix it, which they did free of charge. However, the employee that assisted me first tried to tell me they did not have the polish that I requested and basically insinuated I would need to pay for a color change. I really wanted to like this place but was very disappointed. Was my first time and requested regular polish for both manicure and pedicure. The older lady that did my pedicure did an okay job. The younger lady that did my manicure started by saying that I couldn't get a French tip with tinted pink base only clear, when the lady that did my pedicure just finished doing exactly that. I kept needing to show her where to file my nails because she would make my nail crooked or would forget to file the sides. She did a very rushed job, as you can see in the photos the white is streaky. To top it off I was charged an extra $25 on top of the manicure price because it was a French tip. Extra $15 for pedicure being French tip. $134 for a regular polish manicure and pedicure that was mid work is overpriced in my opinion. Also the vibe felt very judgmental. Update: Later that day the owner Emma reached out apologizing after seeing this review and refunded me $25. Very appreciative, but wish this type of service and understanding was offered when in person and not after a bad review. read more

I'm so happy I found Le Lani Nail Spa! I got my first nail art manicure from Lily a few weeks ago and loved it so much I came back again for a fresh manicure before my trip to Portugal. I showed her some inspo pics and she was so great about executing the look I wanted while also adding some of her own touches that really completed the whole design. I thought this place was fine until they ruined my natural nails. I thought professionals were supposed to be able to remove GelX without damage (minimal at most) to one's natural nails, that's why we go to professionals, right? I asked for a GelX (which I got done by them) removal and she did worse damage than if I were to rip it off myself. She also seemed like she was in a rush to get rid of me. I naturally have very strong nails, but because of her work, my nail broke in my nail bed, and now there is severe damage where my nail bed is gone. It was painful for a couple days (since it broke off my nail bed) and it is now so disheartening for me to look at all my nails. Layers and layers of my nails in every single finger were ripped off, especially by the tips and free edge nails, leaving me with brittle nails. Now it will take forever for it to grow out, since I had to cut my nails as short as I possibly could to remove as much damaged free edge nails as I can. I won't be coming back, which is unfortunate because I've come here a couple times for a pedicure. read more

I didn't catch the name of my pedicure tech, but she was the most friendly person: making the experience super enjoyable. Honestly, the main reason I chose this salon was because the owner promotes that they care a lot about customer health and safety.That was very important to me. Unfortunately, my experience did not match that expectation. When I sat down, I noticed the chair was visibly dirty. I understand it is white and shows stains more easily, but it was clear it had not been properly cleaned or maintained. The nail table and the rolling cart that holds the tools also looked like they needed to be wiped down and sanitized. What concerned me even more was that my technician started working on me immediately after finishing with the previous client, without washing his hands or using any hand sanitizer. He was not wearing gloves either. This made me feel very uncomfortable from a hygiene standpoint. The cuticle work was also done too aggressively. The technician pushed and trimmed my cuticles very hard, and I could already feel discomfort during the service. Now it actually hurts, and my right thumb is red. There was no bleeding or open wound, but the area was clearly overworked and irritated. I also did not see tools being changed or properly sanitized between clients, which added to my concern. When a salon advertises health and sanitation as a priority, customers naturally expect to see higher standards in cleanliness, hand hygiene, and tool sterilization. I hope the salon can improve its daily cleaning routine, require proper hand sanitation between clients, be more transparent about tool sterilization, and be gentler with cuticle care. Julie is great and is so talented in regards to nail structure, shaping, color finding and design. The owners Em and Jen are so wonderful and talented as well. Love that they have a wide range of services, color and nail design options- ranging from regular gel manicures to detailed nail art that can cost $110+ for a set. I would recommend bringing in a few inspo pics if you are looking to get something other than just basic color. They usually have a handful of people working with lots of spa chairs as well. Credit card is a 3% charge so I recommend brining cash. They have an option to pay/tip via Zelle & Venmo. Parking is usually free and there is a decent sized lot adjacent to the salon. read more
