Inconsistent. Almost two months ago I went in and got my nails done for my wedding. I did the powder dip with the lady at table #2 and it was the best manicure I ever had. It also lasted 3 weeks. Since then I've been in twice to get them done again, and both times were done by the lady at table #1. Her work was quite a bit sloppier than the lady at table #2. The first one by lady at table #1 lasted only 2 weeks. She also used the rough grinder and made 4 different spots on my cuticles bleed. The second one was exactly one week ago and as you see in the picture, the dip cracked under the gel coat after only one week. She also didn't push my cuticles back while prepping. A $60 powder dip manicure that only lasts a week? Ridiculous! read more

I have had good pedicures here, but there are two things that make it a bad salon in my experience. 1st, when you call for a reservation they just book it. No matter whether or not they have the staff to perform the service, it seems like they just say yes. I have waited up to 45 minutes for my "turn" because there were so many of us with "appointments" at the exact same time. 2nd, I paid cash for a gift card for a mani/pedi as a gift for a friend. When she tried to use it the salon would not honor because that person was no longer there! The card was for about $85 and was issued by Glamour Nails, and my friend had the physical gift certificate in hand. They did not honor it nor would they refund my money. Beware! read more

The facility was good but the people who worked there.... Not so much. They were mean and gave us bare minimum treatment. The manager there is this lady that is not very nice and treats you like you're wasting her time. We have been there 2 times and both times we received the same treatment. Wow! I have been going here for gel manicure every other week for nearly 3 years. NEVER AGAIN. The manager/ Yvonne is so rude -she doesn't even answer the phone anymore just hangs it up when it rings. Today she couldn't even be bothered to help me match a nail polish color. I called a week ago to schedule an appointment for my fiancé and I to get our wedding nails done before our wedding on Saturday. The appointment was at 11am. We show up about 5 minutes early and it's clear that they didn't have us down in the books, or if they did they didn't plan for us. No worries, I can understand this happening. They start on my fiancé's manicure about 5 minutes later and me about 10 minutes later. Now the girl who is doing my manicure got up in the middle of someone else's pedicure she was doing. So she was I think in a hurry to get me filed and cuticles soaking so she could go back and finish the pedicure. She doesn't wait for my cuticles to soak long enough and cuts me deep in one of my fingers. I've attached a photo to show the aftermath of that. I will say that she did say sorry a couple times, which I appreciated but now I have a bloody finger for my wedding photos. They complete my pedicure and I go to pay. And they charge me full price. Now I'm angry, as we had two manicures and a pedicure for $85, they could have definitely discounted us a little for cutting me. Do not go here. Please don't go here. Had an acrylic fill with gel polish this morning. I hadn't planned to get my nails done during our road trip but they were past due and started breaking. Anyway, I was the first one in at 9:30am, my girl was nice but there's a bit of rippling in the acrylic, so it looks amateur. At least I have shorter, camping ready nails. ** to the previous reviewer RE: dipping powder: it is NOT safer on your nails. It's literally powdered acrylic. And can't be "filled" like regular acrylic fills, so your nails take a beating each time you have to have EVERYTHING removed, rather than a few layers. Twice as much time to re-do and twice as harsh on your real nails. I learned this the hard way. :( read more

Gel manicure was $45 and pedicure was $30 - I couldn't believe it when it was time to pay. The overall experience was OK, but the lady cut my cuticle so bad it started bleeding profusely. Definitely matters who does your service. This place is nice and clean. My mom and I both got pedicures. My mom's was good. The guy that did hers was very attentive to her in-grown nails and gave a great massage. But the lady that did mine barely gave me any massage, paid little to no attention to my cuticles, changed my glitter top coat polish color after doing one toe because there wasn't enough, only to grab another one that had so little polish she could barely get any out. Our family came through Jackson, WY midway through our trip this summer and I needed to get my nails done. This place was wonderful. I got a new set of pink and whites and I have to say it was the best nail job I've ever had (and I've been getting my nails done like this for about 10 years). I had to have three remaining artificial nails removed, so the technician recommended I soak them off rather than pry since it was gentler. Although I'm generally not a fan of soaking in chemicals, I appreciate the fact they wanted to go with the gentler option since my nail beds are so thin. Usually the nail product starts to lift away from my nail bed, but these have stayed clean and adhered better than any other time I have had them done. They still look terrific. The place is clean and well-lit. The staff is very kind. This salon is a great choice! read more

Sadly, I can't go lower than 1 star. I'm pretty laid back, but this was truly a miserable manicure. My tech begins by getting me a bowl of water and having me sit there for 15 minutes with my hands in rapidly chilling water while she finishes a pedicure on someone else. Then, WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS, she comes over to start on me. Sanitizing instruments is of dubious value if they don't sanitize themselves. She also had filthy nails, She also pulled out a used emory board. It gets better (or worse). After cutting the nails down, she sort of half-filed them, so there are rough edges on every one of my nails and I had to file them down again myself at home to get them smooth. At this point, most salons will put a little bit of cuticle softener on their clients prior to beginning to cut the cuticles. Not this place. She starts right in with the cuticle clippers The cuticle clippers are either to dull to cut, or she does not squeeze them completely closed. She squeezes just enough to grab rather than cut, and then rips skin/cuticles off. Don't worry, she poured alcohol on the parts that started bleeding (yep). This is not isolated nips, this is literally every single use of the cuticle clippers. Either this is her methodology, or incredibly dull clippers. So as I sit here typing, I'm going back over my nails with a cuticle clipper to trim off the flaps of torn skin she missed, dabbing blood off with a Kleenax, and then will be filing them smooth shortly. I actually paid someone to clip my nails and rip skin. Everything else I'm doing myself. Hands down, this is the worst manicure I have ever had. If there are other choices in town . . . go there. read more

They are very clean. I noticed the place quite, I wish the music was a bit louder though. They have good customer service, and rarely speak Vietnamese language. I love that they have a sign that let customers know not to leave unhappy and talk to them first. Oh, and ask for discount. They might have one for you. read more

I got a mani/pedi with just regular polish for a total of $60, and the polish on my fingers lasted without a single chip for a full 7 days, and was still looking fairly good a week and a half later. I have had dozens of mani and pedi's over the years mostly in Calif where I live.....but I ended up walking out of this place with 3 out of 10 toes, that the nails were cut way too short and I am hoping I won't get an infection. The pedicure massage was good - although a little rough. Color selection was better than other places in town. They were very nice and got us in to our appt right on time. Bad: they pressure the sale of things. I said I didn't want gel about 3 times and they kept pushing. - def not the worst experience. Why I'm writing this: during my pedicure, the gal was cleaning around my big toe nail but started digging pretty deep. It even got to a point she was pulling skin out from the side! I let it happen as I like clean toes, but then she pulled a whole piece out. Anyway, now it's almost a week out and my big toes are still swollen and painful. I've been in Jackson for 3 years now, and have tried a few different nail salons and this has been one my my favorites, but tonight I came in for my pedicure appointment and my experience was disappointing and anything but relaxing. When I sat in the pedicure chair the massage feature was clearly broken so I told my nail technician. She just shrugged and said she didn't know what was wrong. There was other chairs available and she didn't offer to move me or fox the issue at all. The pedicure itself was extremely lackluster. I chose the signature pedicure which is $55; I didn't feel as though I got what I paid for. This was an extremely unsatisfactory visit and I am unsure if I'll come back again. read more

I recently moved back to the Jackson area so I was on the hunt for a new nail salon. I happened to stumble upon Glamour Nails while looking through reviews, so decided to check it out. Overall, I really love this nail salon. I had made an appointment but I arrived about an hour early and they got me in right away. The sweet older gentleman who did my nails really took his time to make sure they were perfect. There was a woman strolling around checking in on how each client's treatment was going which was a nice sense of quality assurance. The only thing keeping me from giving them a 5 star rating was the fact that it's a little pricey, ($50 for a gel fill) but I will definitely be making this my new go-to nail salon. read more
