Sooooo.... i had a few issues here. 1. I walked in with out an appointment and asked the wait time. They said it would be about 25 minutes. Nearly an hour later someone was able to assist me. If I had know I would have had to wait an hour I would have gone somewhere else. 2. When they asked me what services I wanted I told them a mani, pedi, and a wax. They said they don't do waxing despite that it's listed on yelp as one of their services. I even looked at the list of services that were "approved by the business" 3 months ago and waxing is listed. Maybe it's my fault for not calling to confirm, maybe the person who does waxing wasn't there on a Friday after noon. Who knows. I had specifically chosen this place so I could get all three services but I guess I'll have to make a second stop somewhere else. 3. I picked out this beautiful shimmery pink color since it complimented my skin tone, when he showed me the color it turned out to actually be purple instead of pink so the swatch that I had looked nothing like the actual color so I had to pick a different color. I ended up looking at the different bottles instead of the swatches since those turned out to be a lie. 4. The girl who did my nails was very nice, but on closer inspection of my nails it looks like some of them are aiming for polish mountain on the tips. I hate that. It's not a smooth even layer of polish. Some look like the tip is an ocean wave of layers. Over all I was extremely disappointed with everything except the variety of interesting things and designs they can do with your nails. I however did not indulge in that since I had already wasted so much time there. read more

This was my FAVORITE nail salon when i moved to Lexington last year.. now not so much. the past couple times ive went, i haven't loved my nails nor the experience. when i first started going, they seemed to take alot of time making sure my nails looked great. but now everytime i go, the guy is paying more attention to his phone than my nails. he had his phone set up watching a show & didn't engage in any conversation at all. the first couple times i went was amazing & they seemed to care alot about how i was doing or my nails... not so much anymore. & i can promise you, i won't be paying $40 for any basic acrylic nails with regular polish anymore if they aren't taking their time. my nails are thick, bumpy, & don't even go all the way to my cuticle. i LOVED this place & now i'll never go back. My nails needed help while we were on the road and Glamour was able to take me in within my timeframe. The gentleman that did my mani was nice enough but my biggest issue was that I felt he had rushed through the process and the price was higher than I was told on the phone. It's not that much more but I picked two colors - no art, nothing. ($45) I was in/out in 30 min with an acrylic fill. Just had one of the best shellac manicure and pedicure in my life! I love that the salon uses all OPI products so you can easily match your shellac mani to your pedi. The lady I had did an awesome job and even suggested a color for me that turned out to be exactly what I was looking for in terms of a fall color. I am super terrible and spaced on her name, but it does seem like most people there are awesome. I was there on a Monday during the day so it's hard to say how they handle crowds, but the place seemed huge so I am assuming they can handle quite a few people. Definitely check them out! read more

Overall I'm happy with how my nails turned out. One of my nails is slightly crooked and angled in one direction, but honestly you can't really tell a lot so I don't really mind. My only other concern was the price. It cost me nearly $90 for what I received. What I received was a full set acrylic using dip powder. I have gotten more extravagant nails done for a cheaper price in Louisville. I don't know if Lexington is this more expensive when it comes to nails, as this is my first time getting my nails done here, but it was surprising for it to be $88. They also didn't ask me for tip, which I thought was a little weird. I don't know if they just don't expect tips and that is reflected in the final price of service, but I wish that is something they will let you know beforehand. I also didn't see a price menu when I first walked in, which I think would've influenced what type of nails I would've gotten. I also didn't look too heavily for it, so it could be elsewhere in the store, but I just didn't see it when I first walked in and when I left. Overall the quality is great and I am satisfied with my nails, but I don't know based off the prices if I will return again read more

I was supposed to get SNS but the thumbs and the edge of my nails look faded. I got my nails done previously there and they looked the same way but I didn't want to make a scene so I just left it. I asked if they could redo a SNS coat and she told me no so she said that she could only do a gel coat on top of the SNS. I should have known that the gel was going to be a more vibrant/darker color. So it ended up being a different color than the SNS color that I wanted. I did the gel because the SNS looked faded in spots from where they had filed it down. On the edge of my nail was white because they were filed so thin. I asked if I would get charged for the SNS price or the gel price and she said SNS so it was $49 with tip. They didn't file them down at the end of my appointment so they were rough on the edge of my nails. They also got it on my skin and it wasn't painted evenly. UPDATE: I was done with my nail appointment three hours ago and they are already chipping. I would not recommend this place to my friends or family. read more

It was late on a Friday requesting an early Sat appointment. They got back to me instantly. The salon is new beautiful and clean. Staff is very friendly and I love my gel nails and pedicure. I went in for gel polish not a manicure, the older man doing my nails seemed new to the process which is fine, even though I wanted to be in and out as quick as possible. When we were starting to wrap up the paint on my hands started to come off and it was because he used regular polish instead of gel. So, someone else had to start completely over and he rushed. So after wasting an absurd amount of time I left with badly done nails and was charged 30 dollars. And was told if something was wrong to just come back. I wanted to love this place because the first time I got my pedi done it was perfect! But the customer service was honestly disgusting!!! The second time I tried coming here I called in to make an appointment but couldn't because after 6 they don't take appointments (I get off work at 530) talk about inconvenient.... I called again spoke to a man who I assume is the man that sits in one of the first rows.. any way made my appointment for 5pm (took my work laptop w me) I walk in and say I have an appointment at 5 guy looks a me and says who did you speak to I said a man who I assume it's you being the only male in the shop he said I must've called somewhere else because they don't make appointments... I am writing (which I never do) because the quality of my nail services were so good. I am from Seattle and I needed to get a mani/pedi for a gala event I was attending that same night. They got me in and out in an hour on Saturday morning and my shellac manicure still looks good even though it's been 3 weeks. I don't know if the quality of the products is better than other salons or the technique they use is better, but I'm shocked that my manicure has lasted this long. My friend and I came here for a pedicure after a long week of tests and homework. We were immediately impressed with how nicely the place was kept, how many color options they had and how nice the employees seemed. However, our happiness ended there. By the end of our pedicures, my friend and I both had a couple issues with the service at this nail salon. 1. We did not get what we paid for. I got a $40 pedicure, and she got a $45 pedicure. It lasted around 20-30 minutes, which is standard, but the treatment overall was lacking. I say this because essentially, neither of us could say that their $30 pedicure would have been much different. I basically paid $10 extra for jelly on my feet and a 2-minute leg massage. I feel bad for saying this, but even though the jelly was nice, the woman who did my massage seemed like she could not get it done fast enough; low pressure, she seemed tired, et cetera. My friend paid $15 extra for a foot mask and hot towels on her legs... 2. No one ever told us about the student discount. I get it, I really do. And I probably wouldn't have minded, if the man and woman doing our pedicures hadn't had somewhat extensive conversations with us about where we went to school, if we liked it, et cetera. I was also wearing my university sweater. Now that I hear they had a student discount, it seems a bit dishonest of them to have not cut us some slack and let us know. 3. I felt pressured when paying. This is what really set me off. Now, it's standard of places to ask if you'd like to pay while you're still in your seat. However, the lady who did my pedicure was rude about it. She pretty much looked in my wallet. I handed her $40, but she stared at me longer, waiting for me to give her a tip. I was of course going to tip, but I only had a $10 bill on me, and she was essentially staring in my wallet waiting for me to hand it to her. I was going to ask my friend if she had change (so I could tip her the standard $7-$8, even though I was disappointed) but... let's just say, when someone's staring in your wallet, the last thing you feel like doing is letting them know you want to go out of your way to keep 3 extra bucks. So, yeah. I tipped her $10. All in all, I spent way more than I had to on a pedicure that, back in my hometown, would be considered their basic treatment. I won't be returning... especially since my polish has already begun cracking/peeling. It's been 2 days. read more

They have a nice color selection, not as extensive as most places, but still solid. The nail techs are super friendly and willing to talk. They make sure you're comfortable. I have been searching for a nail salon here in Lexington for the past 3 years and I think I finally found one. Not only were they VERY nice, and the atmosphere was great, but they also did my nails right the first time. I am very particular about my nails but I absolutely love the job they did. I did not get my nail techs name, but she properly laid my acrylic, did not cut me with the automatic filer, and even assisted with my color choice. I came in just about an hour before they closed but everyone still had a great attitude. I didn't feel rushed or anything. In thFor the quality that I received the prices are very reasonable. They also have a student discount. I will definitely be returning! Update: I used to absolutely love glamour nails as you can see above. But recently not only has their customer service declines, but the work has also. I went in so SNS at 3:00 they said to come back around 4:15/4:30 because they had back to back appointments. The guy never said anything about making an appointment at that moment so I said ok, left, and came back around 4:15/4:30. I sat down and then he comes back and says, well it'll still be another 45 minutes... when I asked why he said it's because I didn't make an appointment... nobody ever said anything about an appointment so I left. And I will not be back because this is not the first instance with them playing with the times. I have even referred people to them who have told me that they actually did make appointments that weren't honored. Also, my most recent SNS set from them was very uneven and the chrome, that I paid extra for, peeled right off. They used to do great work. They really did. It's a real nice place. Very conveniently located for me personally. I work at the children's theatre which is just on the other side Of the block. Very new and clean and relaxing. I think it's reasonably priced. I loved how meticulous the lady who was working on my feet was (got a pedicure). However she might have been a bit too meticulous because my toes were, and are still a couple of weeks later, sore where she worked on that space between the nail and your skin on the side. I think it's just like being a masseur, some are just heavier handed than others. I brought my own nail polish but for whatever reason even after 30 minutes under the dryer the paint was still wet. I had to leave and of course it was rainy so I had to wear socks and boots, so the polish was just destroyed. I took it off and repainted them at home. I think it might have just been my polish. I don't know, but for me getting them painted isn't the main reason I go to get pedicures. If I wasn't moving I'd go back again. read more

I was in from out of town for a wedding. I went to Glamour Nails for a spa pedi & gel mani as I needed my nails to have the staying power. Typically gel nails last at least 3 weeks which is why you pay more. But after just 2 days... all my nails on my hands are chipped. I wouldn't recommend going here based on my experience. After coming home from out of state, I had to go get them re-done after paying $65.00. I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company. read more
