WHERE IS HELEN? Absolutely the worst RUN nail salon I have ever been to, however the best nail tech I have ever had did work there until the abusive owner fired her. Does anyone know where HELEN went? I had my nails done by her every 3 weeks and they were perfect. The last time I was there right during my manicure the owner starting arguing and yelling at Helen in Vietnamese. It got very escalated and I was frightened as he was so angry. Helen was clearly shaken as she was trying to do my nails. I finally opened my mouth to ask him to please stop! I did not know what he was yelling at her about but it quickly came out. Just prior to Helen starting to do my nails she showed me a photo of a dress she bought for a wedding (on her phone) - the owner of GLAMOUR NAILS assumed she was giving me her phone number, which she was NOT and has never even suggested that. He told me that HELEN has been giving out her phone number to clients and that is against his policy. I told him that is not what she is doing and he is upsetting her, me and other clients. He would not stop and continued airing complaints about his employee, I asked him to have this conversation with her privately, not in front of clients. He than told me I must follow his policy when in his salon and he said I am on camera and pointed to cameras he has in the shop on each tech. Again I asked him to please stop! I told him that the Nail Tech did nothing wrong, we were discussing clothes and an upcoming wedding and she shared a photo. He said she is NOT GETTING the DAY OFF for the wedding ad she had a day off a week ago. This was too much!!! I responded by saying -- this is a matter you should discuss in private with your employee, but he kept on... I told him she is NOT A SLAVE, she is an employee who brings revenue into your business. I was so offended and scared I will never return to Plymouth GLAMOUR NAILS. I had a friend call the salon HELEN is no longer there. Does anyone know where she went? I would avoid this salon at all costs... The owner is abusive and offensive. This is really disappointing as it was the best mani/pedi I have ever had and I was a regular customer to this salon!!! Please reply if you know where HELEN is! Stay away from this salon, unless you like being yelled at by the owner. He should be reported, what he is doing is harassment. read more

Let me just start this off by URGING everybody to stay away from Glamour Nails. Don't even get me started with their awful service. They have no clue how to get anything done. Today is my last straw. I am actually, currently, sitting in the chair right now as the man who's doing my toes has had the same gloves on since he started my toes. This means he also did MULTIPLE other tasks with those gloves on. That's another thing about glamour nails is that they will leave you sitting there for so long while they do other things as if they haven't already started my nails. That just leaves me sitting here, COLD ASS FEET because they're air drying from the COLD ASS WATER that they provided for my pedicure. It's 3:08, and I has an appointment for 2:30. My sister is STILL WAITING!!! It's so crazy I can't believe them. I beg anybody who reads this to stay away from this business. It's a piece of junk and there are MANY other nail salons around. Called to cancel a same day appt and I was asked why I couldn't make it. I happened to have a family emergency but that wasn't their business. The employee was trying to book me in at a later time or date. Considering the circumstances I thought I was being respectful of their time and schedule. Too bad that wasn't reciprocated. A previous time they didn't want to accept a gift certificate because it was over a year from the issue date. Even though there wasn't a date listed on the Expiration line. I got a French gel manicure that turned out fabulous (see attached pic) and the lady was quick and knew what she was doing. I had a 3:00 appointment on a Saturday but had to wait 30 minutes still. By the time I was done at around 4:00 people were able to get in right away by just walking in. The quality of my French gel polish is excellent and the staff was polite. The wait time even with an appointment was the only complaint. This was probably my third time here. I've also gotten pedicures here and had good experiences. read more

Spa pedicure with peppermint something something whatever I just need to get my toes & heels scrub & clean. Scrub callouses are the most important to me, but she didn't do this step cause I saw other nail specialist performed to others. She didn't scrub my heels, around my toe nails, etc they are still rough. I was going to ask the nail guy next to her, but she was done with my toes. I had to point out cuticle sticking out my toes. Guess maybe she's new or maybe I'm not white because I saw other nail technicians treat white customers -- they are very nice to them. I always look for great customer service when a business provide services. I'm sure I get charged the same as the other but the level of service is NOT equal. Just my observation. I think you should treat your customers equally no matter what color or race they are! Or at least provide the service included on the spa pedicure versus skipping the steps because you are charging me the same price for the service. The worst spa pedicure I had oh man my heels are still rough cause she didn't scrub them... despite of the service I received I appreciate her effort and gave her a generous tip. I learned my lesson today for going behind my favorite nail lady because she was too busy and I need to get my spa pedicure done. Glamour Nails is a great nail salon for the Plymouth area. I tried it out for the first time with my mom the other day and we were both pleasantly surprised. The place was clean (could use an updated paint job, but still a clean and sanitary spot) and the women were inviting. We called maybe 3 hours in advance to see if they could fit us in and it was no problem. Showed up 15 minutes late and it still wasn't a problem. The people who complain that the stylists "didn't have time for them" are walk ins who probably didn't call. With nail places, you never know how the day will go, so taking the 2 mins to call/schedule an appointment (even same day) shouldn't be that hard. Walk-ins are welcome, but not always guaranteed a right away spot. My girl was really nice and did my acrylic nails beautifully. They are clean and natural looking. My toes were also done well. My mom did dip gel powder and basic toes - they also look nice and like regular nail polish. Pricing was good - cheaper then most. Pedi was $26 and acrylic full set (with gel) was ~$45 (before tip). I have paid higher for similar services and had problems with the finished product, so I will be coming back thanks to a great and welcoming experience. read more

I am a new resident to the area and have been looking for a good nail salon after being used to getting my nails done downtown. I just went in and I am disappointed with my gel mani and normal pedi. I rarely post on Yelp but the individual doing my nails was blatantly rude and gave me a lot of attitude for no reason. I offered to pay ahead of time to preserve my gel nails to which he refused and at the end when I asked if my gel was set he rudely said yes but of course my nail scratched immediately upon reaching for my wallet. Terrible. Was my first and last time at the store. Got a pedicure which lasted all of about 10 minutes. Woman employee quickly rushed and barely filed or used any tools. Was more interested in talking with her Co- worker who was giving a pedicure to another woman next to me (who was in the pedicure chair before me and after me). I went to get a gel manicure removed because I wanted to get it done professionally to avoid damaging my nails. The lady who worked on my nails didn't understand what I wanted and kept trying to pressure me into getting another manicure, which I had to turn down several times. When she finally got it, she was very brusque and rude with me for the rest of the appointment. She was very forceful and careless with the removal and it was quite painful. Once she had finished roughly scraping off the polish, she told me to go wash my hands. My nails looked and felt horrible so I figured she was going to smooth them out or something, but nope! My nails have never been so damaged: there are deep divots and scrapes and little bits of the nail peeling up all over them. I feel sick every time I look at them or touch them, and they keep catching on things because they're so ragged. Never coming back here again. read more

The first time I went to Glamour Nails it went really well. We went at 2:00 pm so it was after the rush, and everything went smoothly. The second time, however, I made an appointment for 12 pm on a Wednesday a few days in advance, thinking it would be fine to get in with an appointment. However, I sat there for 20 minutes before they took me back to someone, and they let two other people go in front of me who had appointments at 12:30. They then passed me off between 3 different technicians, and it was over an hour before I was steadily being fully focused on. The whole process took 2.5 hours just to get SNS/dip and acrylic tips on my fingernails, which usually only takes an hour at the place I normally go to. I think it's a fine place to go during off hours, but for people who don't have the time, I'd recommend choosing somewhere with more manpower and efficiency. read more

Mai is the best manicurist I've ever had. The salon had a makeover of itself, and the new decor and nail driers add to the feeling of luxury. Everyone I've ever seen coming out of those doors has a smile. I was worried about the price of manicures, because I've had bad $15 manicures with fungus in other places (and heard horror stories) but the place was immaculate. TERRIBLE. I work in this industry and never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service. A friend and I had gone for pedicures and a fill with gel polish. We did the pedicure first which lasted for a full ten minutes and all the while the women who was working on mine was laughing and pointing at tattoos on my feet! She had gotten the whole staff to look and point and join along which not only made me uncomfortable but extremely mad. The tools she used were dusty from previous clients also, which clearly shows how cleanliness is not important. We then started the fill and I had asked her to re-shape my nails and she was complaining saying I was too "picky" and again, had gotten the whole staff to ridicule me for asking for a change. My friend had asked for the same nail shape as well, and they had two women working on each had which left her with two completely different shaped nails. I knew coming to a place like this wouldn't be the most "high-end" nail salon, but I expect the customer service to be excellent no matter where I go. Very unhappy with the entire experience.
