I have been here a few times before but after today I will not be returning. I had an appointment scheduled for 5:30 and when I walked in there were two employees and two customers. They told me it would be awhile and to come back in 35-40 minutes, so I did as I didn't want to miss this appointment. After I got in the pedicure bowl and my nail polish taken off a guy comes in as a walk-in (I knew this because he asked if this lady had time) and the girl who was taking my polish off goes "I'll have you soak I'm going to take him first & I'll have the other lady take you when she's done". So being polite I said ok... now it's been almost an hour since my appointment and I was still sitting there. So after an additional 10-15 minutes I decided that I needed to leave as this is no way to treat a customer. I do not recommend this establishment. read more

Made an appointment for 2:15pm. I had ask the gal working to FILE my nails down before soaking them in acetone. Knowingly they would try to just clip away at my gel acrylic & use a another fake nail to chip away it. So that I could have the length of my real nails underneath for a gel polish. Sadly, she did not take that into consideration & chipped all the nails that I let her try to 'take off'. After her 3rd attempt on my middle finger, I decided to get up & no longer wanted to get my services done here. Finally, that is when she decided she could file them down for me. When that is what I stated in the beginning. I do not recommend coming here. read more

loved the service and the lady doing my nails was so kind. they turned out amazing and she was very gentle. it was also very comfortable.

Owner was rude and I felt she was rushed on my pedicure because it was time for her to leave. I had the luxury pedicure but the "hot" stone (more like warm) massage was not worth the extra $10. She kept trying to make my friend pay with cash even though I told her I was treating her out for her birthday! I had it done yesterday and already my polish is messed up. If I could give them a ZERO I would. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. I asked for a ombré dip nail but got acrylic but she charged me for dip. Also she rushed me out and didn't even wanted to clean my cuticles she refused. Asked her at the beginning and she said "it's okay I'll do it later" so asked when she was done then she said no. I'm pissed off because I hate how bad my cuticles look. She had such a bad attitude the whole time. She also was using a light to dry my nails so unprofessional. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Ps she rushed me off because a customers come in saying how she is running late for some place. Very affordable and great attention to detail! I had a gel manicure on that had grown out and needed to be redone so I went in as a walk-in and they got me in right away! I'll be going back if nothing else than to leave a proper tip, I didn't realize until I had already left that tips can't be left on cards (I'm sorry! I promise I'll be back with cash! That's my bad!) Mystic nail is an okay place. The spa pedicure yelp deal expired 5 years ago sooooo don't go for that deal!! Don't expect to be blown away by interior or decor. The lights kept flickering off. Massage chairs are unpredictable and make funny noises. I have cleanliness concerns. Plus side, pedicures are very cheap, $20 and $30 for gel pedicure. read more

I love getting my full sets done here, you can make an appointment or walk in, I usually walk in and I'm usually helped right away if not I sit for no more than 5 minutes, everyone here is friendly to me (also to my mom, sister, and grandma). Every time I get my nails done they do an amazing job, they have a bunch of designs to chose from, my nail polish never chips and my nails never lift. My mom gets her pedicures done here and they always leave her feet feeling like a baby's bum. My mom also used to get ingrown toe nails and ever since she's gotten her pedicures here she doesn't get ingrown nails, Jennifer would be the lady to do her pedicure. read more

Worst gel manicure ever. I felt reliably judged the moment I walked in. Not all black women want long, skinny, square nails! I had to fight with the tech several times over the shape. All I wanted was my nails cut short and shaped to follow the natural curve. I ended up with crooked nails with the sails filed down. She then proceeded to paint one nail at a time and put it under the UV light. She messed up several nails that I now have lumps and air bubbles on. Once she finished the last coat of gel she proceeded to file and reshape every nail!! This breaking the seal, these nails won't even last a week now. I will never return, I recommend you don't go here. The nails tech here clearly don't know what they are doing. read more

I have gone to this place for about 7 years now, and I love the way they do my nails and eye brows, however lately they have become very petty in regards to fixing nails, and or payments. Usually if I go in for a broken nail they do not charge me, but this last time I went in they told me that I came in a month ago to have a broken nail fixed, so they added it on to my services I'm getting now... Now mind you when I was there they fixed the nail, and told me to have a nice day, yet waited till I came back in a month later to charge me for it. Also, that same day I went in for a fill they charged me $28.00 for my fill and gel polish, then waited a couple days later and called me to say they charged me only $28 when it should have been $30, so I can just pay the $2 when I come in next time.. I felt that was really unprofessional, and since it was their mistake she should have just taken it out of her tip. You don't call a customer over something you messed up on, you take it as a lost and take it out of yout tips, or just take it as a wash, because it was on you.... I don't mind paying for my services at all, but after the fact is not okay with me at all... Trying to find a new place now for my nails that is close to Bloomington MN. I went in today to get my nails filled and wanted to change it up and have french tips instead of a solid color. I was told that it would look bad and I should start over, now I have been there before and trusted that she wouldn't damage my existing nails. I explained that the last time I had this done elsewhere the person ripped off all of my natural nail, the girl again said it would be OK. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!!! This is a great place for natural manicures and pedicures but it will be a long time before I go back! Not only did they destroy my nails with the removal but after she finished she took the grinder to "clean my nails" more like remove them completely! I received a Gift Certificate from my daughter and grandson's to Mystic Nails for Mother's Day last year, I decided to save it for either a special occasion or just to pamper myself. My daughter and grandson's live with me and my husband, so sometimes it's hard to find the time to get away for a couple of hours and do things for myself. I had the opportunity to enjoy sometime to myself, so I decided to go and get a pedicure. I choose the more expensive one since I had a $25.00 dollar gift certificate. When it came time to pay (I'm assuming it was the manager or owner), came over to me and told me the gift certificate had expired. She told me that whenever anyone comes in to get a gift certificate she let's them know that it expires in 6 months, my daughter neglected to tell me this, but in all the gift cards or certificates that I've received I have never had one of them expire. This is not a coupon it's a gift from somebody, it's been PAID FOR, there should be no reason why this certificate should ever expire. I've been coming to Mystic Nails for awhile, and I will never have my nails done there again, and if anybody ever ask me my opinion of the place, I would never recommend it. I went to Mystic Nails for the first time yesterday and would not recommend it. The place is dirty and doesn't follow basic health and cleanliness standards. The woman who did my nails used her own THUMBNAIL to remove the polish on my nails! When she brought out tools, they were loose in her drawer and I have no idea how many times they'd been used before me on other clients. She never put a towel down on her station to catch the old polish and clippings from my fingers. Instead, she wiped everything off with her hand onto the floor. The gel dryer was filthy and looked like it had never been cleaned. On another note, the staff talked back and forth among themselves in their own language the entire time I was there. She didn't speak to me the whole time until I was checking out. Then she asked me my name, told me her's and told me to start coming back every two weeks. Never again!! read more
