Just recently moved back to Minnesota and was looking for my new go to nail salon. I have gotten my nails done by Kathleen twice now and both times she has done an amazing job! The nails last a month and are super durable I was even able to go rock climbing with this nails after wearing them for over 3 weeks and they stayed on strong! Not only does Kathleen give me the nails I want perfect length and shape she is so kind and sweet and I love talking with her. I went in a pedicure and everything was normal until the next day. I immediately began to develop an ingrown toenail that was persistent and lasting for a month and a half. It became infected and I had to go to a podiatrist to get it cut out of my skin. The Dr. told me it was because of the shape that my nail was cut in. Use caution that they do not pay attention to how they cut your toes and just do it quickly and carelessly. read more

We had an appointment scheduled right at opening and they were late getting in, but once they arrived they got to it right away and provided great service. My mom and I each got mani/pedis (gel manicures and the signature pedicures). Both our technicians did a great job cleaning up and prepping our cuticles/nails and getting the polish on smoothly and to the edges. They didn't rush through or skimp out on the massages, which we appreciated. read more

I went back for the fourth time Johnny did my nails and they turned out way too thick !! they looked awful he said it was because of the way my nails grew!! 1st, my appointment was at 9:00AM no one showed up till 9:10. I can see the polish on my toenails from the last pedicure I had. The last was red and the recent was blue. really? The tech filed the acrylics to the same length as my nails except for the one that was pretty tore up, why didn't she just do the one nail? Getting into work on Monday, My co-worker asked me If I did my polish myself? I could have done better myself. The nails were not supposed to be gel on acryllic, but she did that any way and charged me for the both! why would I want the both? I was wondering that, but I figured she knew what she was doing oh boy did she. She just came in with the bill and said that is why it was $80.00! I do not need deception. meanwhile while she is filing away, a coworker was talking to her and in tears discussing something of hardship because she was in tears. And I was greeted as I walked in and taken right away... No one else was there but me and to text. I should've realized that when no one's there, it's not the best place. Very poor job on my nails and it was a very painful experience. She had long nails and dug them in to me and holding my foot so painfully hard I grimaced and she asked if I was OK... Several times. I kept saying don't squeeze so hard... It hurts. Trust me for $65, it was not at all worth the money, much less the job. read more

My friend suggested we go here as it's close to her home. The lady who serviced my friend took her time, massaged her feet, legs and hands and conversed with her. The woman I got acted as though she didn't want to touch me, barely spoke and seemed to have an attitude. The polish on my left big toe began to bubble instead of dry smoothly. When I asked her to fix it, she first pretended not to understand or see the issue. She finally fixed it reluctantly. I wish I had gotten their names. I was in Maple Grove this morning, over at Chez Arnaud. I asked them if there was a nail place around. He looks out the window, and says "Right over there". Pointing right across the lot. Yeah, I'm awake, I don't even know how I got there from the TC. I was lucky enough to get Sam, a very cool owner, who's good and fast, as well. I guess I don't have a regular place these days. I commented how I like the quiet on a Monday morning, because the TV or radio weren't on. It's actually very relaxing first thing in the morning(10 AM). I found a beautiful bronze color. I noticed how super clean it is. I could easily see making this trip again. read more

I wish I could give them no stars they didn't want to serve me for no reason at all. I walked in and employees were sleeping on the couch with her feet up. They weren't busy at all. They told me I would have to wait after this woman's appointment which was fine so I asked if I could set and appointment they said there don't do appointments which was strange because I had to wait because of an appointment coming up. The whole experience was I bad I just left. It all was rude they didn't even look at me while they were talking to me. read more

I moved to Maple Grove about 6 years ago and have been going to Hot Nails since the move. I've been to many nail salons in the Twin Cities area and have had some regular spots but this one is by far the best! Ahn and Sam, the owners, are very nice and professional! Chi gives the best pedicure around. The space is clean and inviting and on top of it- very reasonably priced! I will continue to be a regular at Hot Nails :) read more

Place is not good. Did fast pedicure and they didn't clean my cuticles for a full set nail. Don't waste your $$ here. Go elsewhere. Don't go to hot nails.. you'll come out a hot mess! read more

If you plan on getting your nails done apparently the close time is an hour before they say. I walk in at 7:20 (they close at 8), and get stares from 5 different women not helping anyone with no greeting. I ask if I can get a full set and they say that since they close at 8 it's not possible since it will take longer. I've never felt so awkward and uncomfortable walking into a business.. read more
