There was a big glitch with the original installation (installer broke the new double-pane glass), but the company made sure we received new glass in a reasonable amount of time. Service tech Austin came to my home on the scheduled day and actually called and asked if he could come 30 min early which was great so i of course said yes. He did the work of replacing my windshield on my Ford Flex and did a very beautiful job! He even reminded to grab the little velcro pieces on my windshield that hold my MNpass which i would have totally forgot about. Everything went very well and best off all is i called prob 5 diff windshield places and Glass Doctor was the best price by far actually! Thank you Austin and thank you Glass Doctor. Run, the reviews on here say it all. You have many other options. These people are overpriced, rude, and incompetent. I had a rock crack to be filled on my windshield. They came out to my house to fill it, $90. I was home but did not receive a call to come out to look at it, they just charged my card. Well, when I came out it didn't look completed, it was not smooth, it was a piss poor job. My husband tried to reach them for a week and a half. A "receptionist" took his name and number twice with no call back. I finally reached someone name Bryce, who others have stated here is the owner. Wow, what an asshole that guy is. First he tells me they answer their phone 24/7 so there is no way my husband called. He then proceeds cut me off when I speak and is totally condescending, basically telling me I didn't know anything about filling a rock crack and told me he'd call me back. When he calls me back, he tells me his employee filled the crack and he's not wasting his time to come back and look at it for a $90 job and I would need to drive 40 minutes to his shop if I want it looked at. Holy smokes. So I take my car to a shop a few blocks from my house, they confirm its a half ass job. I tell them what I went through with Glass Doctor, and they smooth it out, I can no longer feel the crack, free of charge! It would have been $49 with them, so Glass Doctor is a complete ripoff. They need to be trained on how to correctly do their jobs AND provide customer service. I don't want to go through the hassle of dealing with Bryce the asshole again, so I'd rather report them to the BBB. Hired Bryce (owner?) at Glass Doctor Eden Prairie MN to measure and install a shower door. We picked GD based on they'd give us a ball-park price. Bryce came out and measured and said we'd be looking at 3 weeks. I had to repeatedly call to find out scheduling at 3weeks plus 2days. They didn't inform me that the 1st door broke in transit until I called.. 2nd Door came 7 days later & they were missing a bracket vital to install. 3 time they were out they found the door was too large. Took 12 more days to get a new, correctly sized, door. The install was...ok. The new door is just smaller so it fits. There are gaps of 3/8 and 5/8 top and bottom on the door and 1/16th at the tightest spot. Not very competent on the details. They gave us a 25% discount on the job. Every mistake was theirs. I've learned my lesson. I don't think they've learned theirs. read more

Very scary - driving on the freeway another car clipped up a fireplace log and sent it right through the center of the windshield. Glass doctor's tech Tony came out and did an awesome job, not only replacing the window, but doing some minor body work to make it sit well. Very courteous, helpful, and reasonable. I contacted Glass Doctor on 4/26 and they came to my house on 4/27 to assess a broken ground level window in my house. I gave the technician a check for half of the estimated cost ($220) and a week later I still had not heard anything. When I called, they couldn't find my deposit. Turns out, the tech had misplaced it but found it upon my call. Fast forward to June 1. No call, no action. No response. Having a ground level broken window is a security issue - one that they said they would accelerate. I have cancelled the check and will pursue a reputable company to care for my glass needs. read more

The work they did on our shower door seems fine as of yet, but they left me quite the mess to clean up. Razor blade on the windowsill. Dirt tracked all over the apartment. Metal shavings on the counter. The cap to whatever product they used on the counter. Old caulking strewn about the floor. One of my towels had fallen off its hook, and I guess they just left it in a pile of their debris. I stepped on a shard of glass that must have broken off of something. Styrofoam pieces on the floor. I'm really interested in how they broke my toilet seat - I'm sure that's a good story. So yeah, point is if you like cleaning up after adults, these seem like your guys. read more

I took my 2014 dodge journey in to have the windshield replaced. They set the first appointment several weeks in advance and I guess they don't call the day before as a courtesy reminder, fine whatever. When they called to find out if I was bringing my car in, I said I had forgot about it and reset the appointment. I asked for a reminder call the day before and got no phone call. Not even a call "30 minutes before the appointment" like the guy said they did. So I go in to their shop, and I am waiting patiently for them to replace the windshield. My kids are playing quietly on their loads. I finally got my car back and notice something doesn't look quite right, but my kids are hungry and I don't have time to really check it out. I finally figured out what was different about my car, my windshield is sitting 2 inches too low on my car. So now after going back to them because it looks like something is missing they tell me they will order the part. 2 weeks have gone by and finally they call me to tell me there is no part that is missing they think the windshield is just too low and when do I want to bring it back in. I told them that I have come to them twice now and they are going to have to come to me free of cost. Also their tech put a sizeable scratch on my car when taking the original windshield off. I told them they needed to make sure that scratch got taken care of, I will be standing over the tech this time when he fixes my car. So I will never go here again after this fiasco, spend the extra money and go to safelite, far more knowledgeable. read more

Glass Doctor of Minneapolis Called to replace windshield in my Audi A4. They replaced it many years ago, when located on Oxford in SLP without issues. This time there were many issues. Job went terrible. Scheduled a week out so they could order windshield. Arrived at Glass Doctor at 9:50AM 10 min. early for appointment. (Was suppose to take 1 hour or less according to phone quote) After sitting for 1/2 hour, was told there was a schedule error, due to computer problem and I would have to come back at noon. Came back at at noon and I was told still be behind, come back at 1 PM ... which I did and waited and waited, at 2 PM the installer came out and instead of installing my windshield, he talked to a walk-in with a boat side window and took the job ahead of my appointment which was scheduled a week out. Everyone was very rude. Turns there were no computer scheduling problems, they just schedule everything ad hoc. They figured my insurance job was locked in, so they slide new business ahead of my appointment. I understand insurance gets a discounted price, but that's no excuse. I caught them in lies several times. Finally, about 2:30 PM the installer started on my car. I waited and waited, 3:30 should be completed by now, why not, got no answers just boiler plate BS. Finally, a left though the front door, walked around back to the garage door which was open and checked on my car. Windshield was out with broken glass on dash. He was not even working on my car. He was working on cutting glass for another job. I asked when would he finish me car, he was very rude and did not give me an answer. I went back to the office and complained, got no answers, just excuses, blaming the computer. Finally, about 5PM I got my car back and drove it home. Windshield looked good from outside. The next morning, I notices a big globs of windshield sealant had oozed out on the right door pillar fabric and was setup. Very poor quality job considering it took all day. The person who scheduled the appointment over the phone was very nice. Once, I got there, everyone was rude, nobody cared, once job was scheduled!! Will never use Glass Doctor again.!!! read more

First the lady Robin who I spoke with over the phone was very unprofessional and would not answer any questions without FIRST getting all my personal information which in itself seemed very strange. As if they are only tying to build their database or somehow spam & scam me. Then when I finally had the person look at my windshield they tried to charge me even more than before. I used this company twice but the third time I needed glass, I went elsewhere. The first time I used them I had no issues, it was small job. But the second time: 1) the young man who came to measure my windows broke one window (no problem, he said that one would be replaced for free...), AND apparently didn't take the correct measurements nor did he note which/how many windows needed grids inside the panels. I was the one who noticed this on my bid, and I called to let them know (before they ordered glass) that there was a mistake. They sent a different person to re-measure and found several mistakes. 2) no one EVER said 'thanks for catching that' keeping them from ordering a bunch of wrong glass that THEY would have to pay for, etc. 3) no one ever said, 'we are sorry for the mixup', 4) they never sent me a revised estimate, so I assumed they would honor the first price they gave me. But NO, they actually charged me MORE than the original bid, even though they were the ones to screw it up. 5) when I asked if this price included the free window for the one broken by their measuring person, the guy installing them called into the office and I could hear whoever he was talking to yelling about how lucky I was they weren't charging me MORE, because they apparently screwed up the price for the grids within my glass panels. Somehow I still called them for an estimate for my third project, and when the $ came back hundreds of dollars higher than everyone else I got bids from, I called their office to ask if there was a discount for repeat customers, etc. The lady I spoke with said I was lucky it wasn't higher. I'm tried of being so 'lucky', so I went elsewhere. read more

We had the Eden Praire Glass Doctor install the glass shower doors. Part of a bathroom remodel. We didn't hire them our contractor picked them. Once we finally got to the point in our remodel for the shower doors Bryce was scheduled to come out and show us samples of glass. Bryce was scheduled to come out and canceled last minute because of a personal issue. That was fine but inconvenient. When he did come he wasn't prepared. He only had pamphlets no glass samples. So we got the measurements but had to go to the showroom to pick our glass. The day of the install they didn't have our door handle or the bottom sweep for the door. we make another appointment Bryce comes out again to install. Once all is done I open and close the door and it catches. The sweep is very tight against the bottom of the door. He says that's normal when I question it and blows me off. I let it go. The sweep fails after about a month because it's to tight. It rips. We have to have them out again to fix it. Bryce comes out to fix the sweep and adjust the door he's is rude to me and says they just don't replace them without a cost. I'm say if you did the job right in the first place there wouldn't be a problem. I also called to complain at their office but they disregard my complaint . Over all I'm giving them a 3 out of 5 because the installers did a great job and the glass doors are beautiful. The part of the experience I didn't like was the bad customer service, over all lack of concern about my complaints from glass doctor as a customer. read more
