Visiting Glass Half Full was truly the highlight of my weekend! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Jerry--the owner--who is an absolute joy to talk to. His knowledge of cigars and wines is incredible, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. The cigar selection is outstanding, with options for every taste and occasion. Jerry took the time to walk me through a few choices, sharing background stories and pairing recommendations that made the experience even more enjoyable. When we come to the Cape we always come to P-Town and we always come to Glass Half Full. Jerry is a wealth of info, so fun to talk to and he has a great, curated selection of bourbons and whiskeys. We love finding the hard to find here. I tasted a Japanese Whiskey tonight, Nikka, that Jerry called a "unicorn" (hard to find) and it was smooth and delicious. Glass Half Full is a well kept wine and liquor store in the heart of PTown. I visited three liquor stores while I was in town and this was hands down my favorite. The owner is an amazing man. He is a real conversationalist. He had a wonderful selection of both cold and room temp wine. He even has a small offering of crackers, cheese, charcuterie meats, and olives if you need snacks to go with your wine. I was truly impressed with my entire experience. Next time I'm back in town Glass Half Full will be my go to wine shop. read more

They carry a very interesting and diverse selection of wines, from $10 to $50 bottles. I'm in the $10 class definitely. I havent seriously looked at the beers, but I do recall the coolers were teeming. I can't recommend this place enough. And the neon on the front of the store says "Drink / Smoke" DONT MIND IF I DO! The store is WIDE open, you cannot bump into other customers if you wanted to! Everything is arranged neatly and cleanly. The owner was out and about one night on the floor and was recommending a Pinot Noir but it had a screw top. I admitted to him I'm a bit of a snob... and he actually called me silly and a snob to my face! Rather than be insulted, I took that to heart, screw tops and "zorks" (those unwindy rubber cork things Pepperwood and a few others use) no longer have the stigma they once had in the Monty Python Australian Wines sketch in the 70s. read more

One of the best things about Glass Half Full is that Jerry, the gentleman usually working the store, takes the time to get to know what kind of wine we like, never trying to sell us a wine he prefers. We find it amazing how he remembers the wines we brag on within our price range. Because of his expertise in wines and knowledge of our taste, we can tell him what we are serving and Jerry is always right on target when he recommends the perfect wines for our personal use and for dinner parties we hosts. read more

They stock a decent selection of craft beer (WAAAAAY better than Big Vin's) and are conveniently located across from Spiritus, so when my friends and I stop for a slice and an espresso after our annual 100 mile bike ride all one of us has to do is cross the street to grab a couple of decent six packs... and maybe a little cheap Portuguese wine while we're at it! read more

This place is fantastic. The gentleman that owns the store and works the counter is a true class act. He's he's real and very friendly. He also gave me free plastic cups so I didn't have to walk to another store to buy any. This should be the only liquor store you give your business to people. This guy is here for the long run and really cares about the town and people. Where others are here for the summer to make a quick buck. read more

I can't say enough about this shop! Not only is the selection the best in town, but the vibe is SO cool. There are fun pictures on the walls, and they have funny/clever descriptors for the wines and cigars... They have pretty much any liquor you'd want, but some interesting local selections (like Bully Boy, for example). Originally, we stumbled in for just a bottle of wine, but ended up walking out with a couple cigars, some craft beers (didn't realize they'd have that), a bottle of tequila (oops), and a cigar box which had a GORGEOUS beach landscape. The cigar boxes are beautiful and it was hard to just pick one! Who knew that a wine shop could have wine, and SO much more!! Not to mention the owner was a hoot - he's super friendly, witty, and fun to chat with. Plus he can answer pretty much any wine question and gave us some helpful tips! Will be back, again and again!! I've been buying wine from Jerry for the last dozen years or so. I'm on the Cape for a week in April every year and my usual first stop is Glass Half Full. I just walk in and and ask Jerry what he's drinking and then basically buy as many of his recommendations as I can afford. Since the family is always with me, it usually adds up to a good amount of wine. In all these years, he has never missed once on a bottle. He knows every bottle in his store and will not steer you towards the expensive one if he has something just as good at a bargain price....and he always has plenty of bargains. He'll also give you a good case discount. Buying from Jerry is a slam dunk, can't miss proposition. read more
