This place is a real find on the outer Cape. They do a lot of mail order for restaurants and catering businesses, and have fewer smaller size spices than they used to carry, but I find things there that just aren't available anywhere nearby, at reasonable prices. I'd still be driving past it had a friend not told me about it. When foodies come to visit, we often take them to this place. I use a lot of dried wild mushrooms and porcinis in my cooking, and theirs are good quality...without larvae holes that you find elsewhere. They also have empty spice containers of various sizes, which are great for spice blends (like Baharat ) both to use and as gifts. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. read more

It's a beautiful place the first visit- On later visits it loses some of its appeal for us. Great first impression. Tons of spices and dried herbs, and knick-knack stuff. Places in this oeuvre aren't easy to find. On closer look, it's a lot of Stonewall Kitchen other national brands. I found no local jams and jellies and stuff like that. (Yes, there are some local items available, but not a lot.) Some of the foods are all-natural, which we like, but organic? Especially the spices? Visited this store while staying in Truro, and pretty impressed with the incredible variety of spices, loose leaf teas, kitchen supplies, and drink ware they had available. I loved perusing all the cool kitchenware: aprons, pretty dish towels, and stemless wine glasses. Prices are very reasonable for the spices and loose leaf teas here. The teas on average are about $6.50 and up for a huge bag. Other things, such as glassware/dishes is a bit more pricier. It's definitely worth checking out if you happen to be in the Truro area and if you like to dabble in the kitchen. read more

The only bad thing I can say about this place is that they have everything, and if you're an avid cook like I am, your wallet will be much lighter when you walk out. This place is such a hidden gem. I appreciate the local feel, the unobtrusive building set back from the road, and the friendly staff. I spend a lot of time on the cape, my house is less than five minutes from here, so it takes a lot of willpower not to visit all the time. There is a lot of stuff here. Specialty cook and bakeware, serving dishes, table linens and even replacement filters for countertop compost buckets. The bulk herbs are reasonably priced, and the variety is impressive. I will continue to patronize this establishment, and highly recommend you do as well. read more

I've always wanted to shop here more often, it is on my way to P'Town, but I usually save my visits for holiday time when I'd be in the gift giving mode. But they have such a great selection of spices, coffee, tea, kitchen gifts and linens, and more. Great to have a store such as Atlantic Spice. It reminds me of an old grocery store I'd visit when a child, where the shop keeper would put little scoops of spices in little bags and weigh them. One of the coolest places on the outer cape. Directly off Rt. 6 in Truro, this place is like a spice/tea/seasoning/kitchen supply warehouse. They offer large quantities of spices in more than one variation for VERY short money. These spices are bagged and sold at essentially wholesale prices and are a dream for folks who cook a lot and can't leave Stop n Shop without a container of McCormick something or other in their basket every time they go to the checkout line. Atlantic is like a once a year type place where you stock up on your essentials and spices you use frequently. The freshness and variety of their spices is really impressive. While known for their bulk spices, Atlantic also carries some standard and helpful kitchen tools and supplies as well as large-format bagged loose leaf tea! Their tea is sold for well below what you would pay at tea retail locations and is much higher quality than store bought tea bags. Most people don't think about doing any bulk spice/tea shopping when down in Truro, MA, but I highly recommend you stop in here when your spice rack is starting to look sparse (or if your rental cottage doesn't have a bottle opener ). read more

The pretty little blonde lady was so sweet to me when I came in looking for Assam tea for my brother in law! I love the teapots and the international food section. I'm addicted to cooking and I love coming here for the wide selection. I think it's better than any store I can think of at home! Wholesale spices, ahhh-mazing. My friend introduced me to this place the first time we went to the cape together. Right off route 6 headed to Provincetown from Wellfleet there is a tiny wooden sign that notifies you that Atlantic Spice Company is down a dirt road (you can't miss it, you'll be driving so slow because the traffic is horrible. If you like to cook as a hobby, are a chef, or know someone who does this place is great for gifts also! Small to large bags from mixed spices, essences, teas, extracts, utensils, kits, cookbooks, and most importantly VANILLA BEANS. 30 vanilla beans for $28, that is a STEAL people. I buy a pack every year, split them down the middle, and throw them in a few bottles of cheap rum and cheap vodka. BOOM homemade vanilla extract you can re-bottle for gifts, or bake for an army - even cook with! I walked away with the vanilla beans, garlic, ginger, Chile powder, dill, and the works ($2.50 for small bags, up to $8 for large bags). You can buy spice jars there to rebottle! If you're not in the area, I am almost sure they have a website to order off of, I would highly reccomend you do. read more

LOVE THIS STORE!! I have been driving by for years and years so glad I finally stopped in to check it out. Good hard to find spices and herbs to be found here in mediam and large quanities. For instance: Smoked sea salt from France Smoked Paparicka from Spain!! Sumac! If you're interested in the highest quality wholesale, bulk spices and kitchen gadgets, this is your place. We visit ASC every time we're near the Lower Cape. We have to come here. Sometimes for the strangest things, lol: lip balm, porcelain ice cream dishes, ginger crystals, milk thistle, and chopsticks, have been some of our purchases. An odd store to say the least.....but that's the beauty of it. Yes, there are spices of all varieties in sizes that would take you a lifetime to use. Also olive oil, salts, vinegars and other seasonings. Local honey and jam as well as other hard to find mixes. Short a knife or cutting board? Need placemats or a tablecloth? They have them too. It's not a full kitchen store but in a pinch they have what you need. Have never figured out the organization scheme of this store.....hence I wander through the store and buy more than I should. Honestly, I should love this place, but despite repeated attempts to shop here: I simply cannot stand the smell when one walks in, which is an utterly overpowering mix of cloyingly sweet and aromatic spices in just the wrong combinations that it makes me literally gag. I have never had this problem at other spice outlets; I wonder what makes Atlantic different, although perhaps it's the addition of "scented _____", of which there are many items. On the annual family trip this year, I had to leave and go hide out in the car after just a few minutes. I've never had it adequately explained to me why this place is all the way up at the end of the Outer Cape, far from easy transportation lines and any kind of actual importation facility like a dock, and not even convenient to most of the masses of tourists except those who are making the commitment to go all the way to Provincetown. Even then, it's got the most awkward turn off in the world, being off the 6A spur and not at an intersection with the signal; we've missed the turn off 6 pretty much every time we've ever gone, forever. I kind of treasure its eccentricity up here in the edge of nowhere, and I yearn for some kind of romantic story to fill the gaps between my sneezes and watering eyes. My Mom likes it here, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on the ratings, but honestly I think the fact I can't stand the store, literally, is a legitimate basis for my own personal review. read more

Amazing selection of really cool spices and kitchen accessories. Lots of stuff you need and lots of stuff you didn't know you needed! They also had an interesting assortment of non-perishable food including some interesting dip mixes and rose petal preserves. We stopped here before a wine tasting at Truro Vineyards. Easy to find, right off of Route 6 with lots of parking. Staff was very friendly and chill and one employee even helped check me out though at first he said he was on his lunch break but then said he was still waiting for his food to heat up. Only detracting a star because some of the prices seemed really high, but other prices are reasonable, especially for spices and everyday kitchen things. Definitely worth a stop! Wow, I stopped in for some Ancho Chili Powder and dropped almost 100 in 20 minutes. This store has an abundance of cool cookery and culinary products as well as collectables, incense, candles and knick knacks.
