The Admiral used to work here. Seaside has great beers with which to make Brass Monkeys.

He threatened to refuse service to me before even looking at my identification and I simply was just standing in line. I'm 23 years old and shouldn't feel uncomfortable and be treated like a criminal for legally buying beer to go to the beach with my boyfriend. After his rude behavior I asked him if he could be nicer about asking for my identification because it was mortifying, he said he didn't have to and could kick me out if he wanted to. Just to put this in context I was not some drunk idiot kid causing a scene. I was just standing there in line, I wasn't speaking or bothering anyone. Nothing this business can say in response to this (if they do respond) will make this example of their sub par customer service okay. Sure, you can refuse service to anyone, that's okay! But to treat a person so rudely in front of other people is mortifying and made my experience here absolutely horrible. I recommend going to one of the other hundred liquor stores on the cape.

He loudly comments that we shouldn't buy wine it's so expensive and to just get a bottle and go - a tween being a tween. This very rude employee comes over and says they cannot sell us wine if he is going to partake in the sale and he needs to leave, I said what?? (We are two mid-40s women buying a bottle of white for dinner.) He isn't buying, I am his mother, I tell them, and what are you talking about. At this point the younger black female employee looks nervous and is looking over at this older white man who appears to be her supervisor for approval and he just nods. So she insists again that my son needs to leave. My son volunteered to step outside and I decided not to give them my business, which in the span of five days would have been plenty of wine for the week-- a damn shame for them since as most moms know, we need our wine for long family vacation weekends! I have never felt such disrespect in tone and delivery-- there was a much better way of handling this. And the young woman employee doing this supervisor's bidding just gave major creepy vibes. Do NOT come here if you value a family friendly vibe...they shouldn't be in this location with this attitude.

I came here two summers ago and have been too busy to write about what was literally the MOST UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD AT A LIQUOR STORE. I was 23 and my girlfiend was 21 when we came here. We both look young and we're used to getting carded to this day, no problem. But this went beyond that. This place is like two feet long and from the second we walked in we were stared down by the staff and followed. How can someone follow you across a small store? Well they quite literally trailed us into the back of the store as we browsed their extremely limited selection. Throughout this process, they asked if we needed help I think like two or three times and each time we said we were just deciding what we wanted. My girlfriend has trouble choosing sometimes and likes to try new things, but we got so uncomfortable with the way we were being followed and stared at that we decided to just buy what we selected so far and leave. The guy staring us down most of the time who I assume was the owner was this smug bellhop looking mofo, but when we checked out there was this teenaged kid who was acting like he worked for Homeland Security. My gf and I both had out of state licenses cause we're in a god damn tourist destination. So it's not good enough that they clearly say we're of age, he's going to run our licenses through this TSA machine. Whatever, at this point I'm getting close to cancelling the sale on principle and leaving, but my gf is committed. He runs her license, no problem. He runs mine and for who knows whatever reason it comes out negative. The owner then implies that my license will be confiscated if it doesn't work again, at which point it works and we complete our sale. I would have LOVED to see what happened if they tried to confiscate my perfectly valid ID and then called the police. After this bout of false imprisonment, I swore eventually I'd warn people away from this place, and it seems others have had similar experiences, SO AVOID!!! I've never had an experience like this in a liquor store across dozens of states and several countries. Uniquely awful and cringeworthy. Legit poor selection also. P.S. I think my license failed their stupid ass machine the first time because it had a change of address sticker on it. Morons.

The deli counter was closed by then but they had a turkey club in the refrigerator. I was hesitant since it was not fresh, but it was delicious. I also picked up bagel and a muffin. After I ate the muffin, I wished I had bought more. The market has a nice selection of wines as well as upscale food and treats. It also has a seating area inside. Parking is along the side which was a little tight, but still convenient. It's the kind of market you might find in a big city, with it's staff and selection of goods. I spent over a week in Cape Cod and the food here and another deli in Provincetown were the best food I had on the Cape, including some fine dining places. Definitely worth your time to stop by.

I felt like the clerk was not listening to me so I double checked with her a few minutes later to make sure the sandwich would have mustard on it she abruptly told me that no it wouldn't have mustard on it because she didn't have mustard put on it- I asked if it could be done? She was incredibly rude, She went back to the kitchen and asked them to put mustard on it a long while later I received the sandwich in a hot tinfoil wrap. I asked her why the sandwich was hot and she told me that all sandwiches in the shop are toasted unless I asked for it not to be toasted. For context my friend got an Italian and it was correct and NOT toasted.... And again, she was incredibly rude. She eventually offered to redo the sandwich which I was hesitant to agree to, but I did. Another long while later she came back out, basically threw the sandwich at me -still in the tinfoil -when I open the sandwich, I found a Canadian bacon egg sandwich on a hamburger roll with mustard! The bun was wet. I'm not sure what the hell is going on at this place but she and the other person working there were incredibly rude, short and to be honest, completely obnoxious about our whole experience I ended up walking out, told them the sandwiches wrong again and they had no response. I will never go back there, and I will tell everyone about my experience there. I will say the iced coffee was good, but not worth returning for considering all the rest of the stuff that happened.
