House Coffee And The Vegan Breakfast Sandwich
    Steve A.

Came for breakfast to this coffee house in Eugene. Glass House is certainly a good fit around here. It happens to be one of many hip places in Whiteaker. Also more than just coffee. There's breakfast sandwiches including some plant based stuff. A small place but has lots of charm. It's a popular choice to get things to go. The better idea is staying inside though. As long as it's not too crowded. Totally has a hip environmental vibe. It's about $2 for House Coffee. This is basic but there's lots to add into it. Even better is the food. It's about $7 for a sandwich. Has things that are plant based. We each got the Vegan Breakfast Sandwich. Looks a little like a real meaty one but it isn't. This comes with an Impossible sausage patty, fake cheddar, and a fake egg patty. Best place for coffee in this hipster area. It's got a lot of activism going on and is a popular meeting spot. There's a whole lot for vegans and vegetarians.

Small coffee shop with so much natural light. This is a great place to sit and people watch and enjoy a great cup of coffee. Their vegan biscuits and gravy are delicious, but can sometimes be a bit overly peppery, so be aware if you are sensitive to spice. Their coffee is great and I am always treated with friendly smiles by staff.

Another wonderful stop, another cup of my favorite beverage. The Breve latte gets a 10/10. The milk was the perfect temp. I could taste a smooth coffee without too much acidity. Service was great. Barista was knowledgeable and friendly. They weren't "in your face" but also attentive. The ambience is quiet and peaceful. The decor feels Eugene eclectic. The plants add a cozy touch and create a sense of outdoor tranquility juxtaposed to the cityscape. If you are introvert, this spot is a perfect place to have a cup of coffee without much noise. The music volume was turned down. There appeared to be many individuals enjoying their alone time. I went during the morning and there was no line. Thank you, Glass House!

Great latte. Super nice baristas. Very comfortable. A premiere Eugene coffee spot. So happy we stopped by. Added sunshine to a rainy morning.

Came in and ordered a dirty chai and a Breakfast sammich and they made them exactly as I asked. The ladies behind the counter were friendly and knowledgeable and overall just a great experience

Always have a perfect breve at Glass House Coffee. You should go there soon! BONUS - they have boozy coffee too.

Super sweet place, and very nice workers! Definitely a much go when you're in Eugene!

Ambience and service was fantastic. I would come here again as the had vegan food options, I got a vegan "pop tart" and it was out of this world. Cold brew is delicious as well. Staff very friendly, enough chit chat to be nice but don't hold up line. Great little spot!

It's just a cool and comfortable vibe here, warm and welcoming. This is the Whit, so you can just fold into the scene. The coffee is good, not great. But I'm not a total coffee snob like my buddy Chad. He's a real pain in the ass. You come here cuz it's a great place to grab a cup and hang. There are plants and large windows and pastries from Noisette on the counter (Noisette!). So you can work on your laptop for an hour or just sit and chat it up with the lovely woman behind the counter. You want to stay for a while, and you want to come back.

Tristan & Brad kindly *vanna-white* the signage. ;)

Wonderful Coffee Stop in Eugene! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/glass-house-coffee-bar-eugene?select=Qmus_BSB0cVUvtqojJ11Fg&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w SITREP If I only have time to make one stop in the City of Eugene while blitzing down I-5, then I will jump onto the I-105 exit and make a beeline to Glass House Coffee Bar for some delicious lattes & mochas! As far as baristas go, April is the bees knees and would be a fantastic rep in whatever city she would find herself. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/glass-house-coffee-bar-eugene?select=x4RA9V2txtT-7Wanlc3voQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE COFFEE! The house brew is outstanding. But if I'm on a stretch for a BIT more time (like 30 mins to an hour), I'll pop for something a bit more extravagant, like the Salted Bourbon Latte - now THAT'S how you kick start your day for a blitz trek all the way back to Sacramento. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/glass-house-coffee-bar-eugene?select=TpRkPfCFlgfNOIVFkb0IJQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE ART! But the next morning, he was still at the coffee shop where April brought him out to guard my next brew. They are good peeps here.... :D https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/glass-house-coffee-bar-eugene?select=pCPe1qCAzrJn5fVmkCbZjw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE LOWDOWN Come for the Coffee. It's not like going to a bad bar or even restaurant where you still can eat a few hours later. Coffee has a small window and a maximum amount of intake. That being said, this morning we chose wisely. Not only did we use Yelp but we backed up our decision with a google search and that took us to Reddit. Equiano was a top suggestion on both sites. And we understand why. The service was 100% top notch. Helpful. Friendly and knowledgeable, not only about what they offered but about the regions best shops! The coffee itself was very expressive. The Camaroon was totally my style with an earthier tone and the Chai was delightful. The outdoor seating was so very comfortable with a unique sort of panache that I would love to have at my neighborhood coffeeshop. The raked gravel was a nice touch. And even though they didn't have indoor seating with the drizzly day, it was a highlight that I will be repeating in our future travels.

They have…read moregluten-free and vegan baked goods and a nice selection of savory and sweet food items as well. The toast on the side of an egg dish felt homemade (or at least locally sourced). The service was friendly and they have a welcoming little space that doesn't feel too crowded and feels nice to linger in. BUT the thing I can't get past is the price. I thought maybe because they make many of their ingredients or because it could be organic or gluten-free or something that drives the cost up? But then I looked at other comparable places around town: also locally-owned and homemade-focused. CPR is still way more expensive! $7.50 for a 12-ounce mocha PLUS $1.25 to sub oat milk. That's $8.75 for a small drink. The most I can find alternative milk costing per drink is $0.75 in town. No matter how good your food is or how much you've put into it, I cannot justify spending $8.75 for a 12 ounce treat more than once or twice a year. I'm sorry I can't visit more often. :(

Food portions are huge and so is the building surprisingly, so there's a pretty good amount of seating too (especially compared to other cafes in the area). The parking lot is a little narrow to navigate but I'm mostly grateful that they even have a lot. I think their tempeh is very delicious and flavorful, kind of a sweet maple-y vibe, and again, can't emphasize how big the size of everything was compared to my usual expectations. Their menu is pretty vegetarian friendly and they have pastries, breakfast options, smoothies etc. Price is on the higher side but I do think you get what you pay for. Also tried their seasonal lavender pistachio latte and the regular chai, both drinks were really nice. They don't have a huge variety of flavors in the coffee menu (2 house made syrups) but I was still happy with there being a fun seasonal option. It's decorated well and I love the tall ceilings. Would come again!
