    Freshly roasted coffee

The coffee was delicious! The atmosphere was great for a quick bite or to get some work done. The service was friendly. Great find definitely recommend. Try the avocado toast!

I love this gem! It is really close to where I live, and I love that there are good food options on the menu, instead of just strictly baked goods/pastries to chose from at this coffee shop. Don't get me wrong, their baked goods are delicious also! Their beans are good quality, and I love trying different drinks each time. Last time I tried their housemade Orange Syrup in a latte. It was good, it was different, not-something I would get every time, but it was really fun and tasty! And, they put some candied orange peels on top for garnish. My husband loves their vegetarian breakfast burritos- and I can confirm they are delicious (I have been able to grab a bite or two to sample) and they are very nourishing and satisfying. I also had their fresh fruit Açaí bowl, and it was really delicious as well. Every time we have been there the service has been really friendly, and fast. And, the ambiance is really comfortable inside, I could imagine posting-up at a table and studying for an hour or two with good coffee and food nearby! I definitely recommend this West Eugenespot!

This looks like an interesting place to stop for a coffee and a bite, mainly because of the Yelp reviews. There is an açaí bowl and bear claw that we are interested in. For now a coffee, brownie and a quick look around to determine yea, nice place, we'll come back for lunch when we have more time. My caramel breve was perfect with a nice medium roast, no french roast heartburn. The parking lot is poorly designed. Mainly because the parking spots are diagonal making it hard to sit here and watch people trying to back in or out. The tables could be wiped down, but other than that, the food looks good and the coffee is outstanding.

Looking for a coffee shop/cafe for your next study sesh, hangout, or quick bite to eat? Check out Coffee Plant Roaster. Stop in for coffee or tea, a freshly baked pastry or meal! Coffee Plant Roaster has limited indoor space, so if you're planning on hunkering down to study, I recommend going during the slower periods of the day to snag a table (avoid the morning rush, or get there EARLY). Their parking lot is a bit small, so I'd recommend carpooling or mentally preparing for limited parking spots. I loved the breakfast scramble -- an egg scramble with your choice of three mix-ins and a side of crispy home fries. I also highly recommend any of their pastries -- they're freshly baked and guaranteed to satisfy. With friendly staff and positive and lively energy, Coffee Plant Roaster just might be your new fave spot! Delicious cappuccino

Heck yeah I'd eat here again. The cappuccino was delicious and the Quinoa Bowl was hearty, filling, and healthy! The barista who took my order was both kind and patient. The service was great. I waited about 5 minutes for my drink and 20 minutes for my bowl which is right on time for sit down dining. The L-shaped coffee shop features modern industrial decor with soaring lofted ceilings, exposed pipes, warm colored wood panels and soft lighting. You can park either in the front or to the west. I visited around breakfast on a Saturday and there were plenty of spots. I also was able to grab a table without wait. I will be back to try some of their other dishes and pastries! Well done, Coffee Plant Roasters.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the Eugene area. It has a kitchen so there is great variety of food on the menu as well. Service was usually pretty quick. I would get here early on weekend mornings before the rush. My "go-to" was the breakfast scramble. Pastry spread always had different delicious options for baked goods. One of the workers mentioned once they bake everything in-house. This place is a coffee roaster so the beans are fresh and you can't go wrong with the house drip or single origin. For espresso drinks - I think this is one of the best mochas in town. The seasonal lattes are also worth a try if you're looking for something unique.

The coffee is great and the food is good. Pricy, but good. The baked good are great and they have options for my lactose free, and GF wife - while pregnant only. I am a garbage disposal with no food allergies and normally GF pastries are the devil, but theirs are actually good. Service is good and fast and I have had only one coffee mess up and they fixed me a new cup and refunded my money. I with they had more baked good for those of us that have the 2:00 coffee junkie itch. By the time I get there in the afternoon on week days all the baked goodness is gone. The tables and the bathrooms are always spotless.

hopping at noon on daylight savings sunday! there was a line to order but this strikes me as the kind of place that might usually have a line because it's got great food and beverage offerings in a fun, light, clean environment. the chai i ordered was good but considering it came right from the barista's hands to mine and didn't sit for a second, it could have been hotter. maybe ordering it extra hot would be the trick because it lost heat so rapidly i might as well have ordered it over ice. (lesson learned.) the jam bar was great! so large i ate half and then opted to wrap the rest and take it to go for when the sweet tooth strikes later. nice guy working the register and taking orders. tables cleaned between being occupied, which i appreciated! definitely a place to get yourself caffeine or a smoothie and a snack either on a weekend or even during the workweek. the added bonus is that it's outside the downtown business core so you don't have to deal with all the ongoing construction eugene is going through to find parking.

What a cute coffee shop! Parking is a little ways from the entrance, but it was doggo friendly, and the food and beverage selection here for breakfast was phenomenal! I enjoyed the decor, funny apparel, and unique food options both made to order and in the glass case. I had a cappuccino and a mushroom spinach scramble. Both were so filling and delicious I skipped lunch later that day. The service here was super friendly, and you can tell there are regulars that frequent the shop often. I look forward to returning the next time I'm in town!

I've been meaning to come here for a while now and I can say it's one of my new favorite coffee shops in Eugene! The ambiance was amazing. Beautiful coffee shop. Great seating. I loved the matcha strawberry scone. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They had a great selection of pastries. Coffee was great too. They have a whole brunch menu as well which looked great. Reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend coming here!

My bf was living in Eugene for several years and CPR was his go-to coffee shop for productivity. I only visited with him a few times, but I definitely know why he loved it so much. The staff is very personable and they make a good coffee drink. The vibe is a bit more on the industrial side, but it was cozy enough to post up for a while as you got some work or reading done. CPR offers online shopping! I've purchased some of their coffee beans and a t-shirt from them just recently. It arrived thousands of miles away in just a couple days and the shipping and price of goods was reasonable. If you're looking for a good mocha in Eugene, check out this awesome business.

I really liked the vibe, great place to hangout and play cards or do some work. My friend got an iced chai latte which was the best drink amongst us, but I didn't like my vanilla latte all that much. They had really good homemade jam, perfect with a biscuit.

    Quinoa Bowl with Chicken.

Quinoa Bowl with chicken. Oh my- so delicious. I hesitate to do a review of this place- Coffee Plant Roasters, because... I don't want it to get super crazy busy!! But I can't Not give them an amazing review because their food is consistently outstanding. Today I'm having the Quinoa bowl- it has tri color quinoa, roasted chickpeas to a slightly crunchy texture tossed in harissa (it tastes like), Kale and warm sweet potatoes topped with 1/2 an avocado. Simple. Seriously amazing food. The iced latte with oatmilk is also yummy- well proportioned, not bitter. They put love into their products- the servers and baristas are lovely humans. The space is big and open, some quiet pop plays in the background. It's not that busy right now, but it can get a little loud. Cheers CPR! Keep doin' what you're doing.

Indonesian Fried Rice weekly special. Perfect fluffy/not wet texture and distinctive "can't make this at home" flavors.

Do they have free wifi? Is this a good place to work?

Hi! They do have free wifi. Because of COVID they are trying to make sure the cafes not packed with people so have limited the free wifi to 30 minutes. But usually it's unlimited and you just have to ask the baristas for the password!

Some of the other reviews were negative on their food...but our food was fantastic. The burgers were moist and not greasy. The waffle cut fries were hot and crispy. The decor is a D&D dive bar scene....so many things to look at as you wait for bingo to start. They just changed the rules and you do have to pay $1.00 per person to play bingo...but where else can you get that type of entertainment for a dollar. We can't wait to return.

At one point, the bartender disappeared for approximately fifteen minutes, leaving several patrons waiting without acknowledgment. When she finally returned, she casually mentioned she had been on a personal phone call. A second woman then stepped behind the bar, immediately clarifying that she was not, in fact, a bartender. When I expressed concern about the extended absence and lack of service--something I would consider standard feedback in any hospitality setting--I was abruptly told I was "speaking badly" about the staff and was asked to leave. This kind of defensiveness and disregard for patrons is deeply unprofessional, especially for an establishment that positions itself within a community where communication, accountability, and mutual respect are paramount. Eugene has a growing nightlife and alternative culture scene, and many people--locals and visitors alike--expect spaces that uphold those values. Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend The Serpent & the Sparrow. There are other venues in town that offer a far more welcoming environment, competent service, and a genuine respect for their patrons.

On our first morning in our new town, we went to The Original Pancake House for breakfast. It was a simple meal, but one we were grateful we could afford. When we asked for the check, our server smiled and told us someone had already paid for it. That small act of kindness made me feel like I truly belonged in our new home. It reminded me that even in an unfamiliar place, there were good people who cared about others. Since that day, every time we visit The Original Pancake House, we make it a point to pay it forward whenever we can. The Original Pancake House in Eugene is a charming, family-friendly spot with genuine warmth and stellar coffee. The casual, lively vibe makes it feel like the proper brunch destination you'd hope for from a legendary breakfast joint. We ordered their hero dish--a side of buttermilk pancakes--and the Irish Omelette. The pancakes delivered real flavor: fluffy, tender, with classic buttermilk tang. My only critique? They arrived cool, likely from sitting in the warmth window a bit too long. Off the griddle, these would shine. The Irish Omelette was more disappointing. Designed to be airy and light with corned beef and potatoes inside, ours was overcooked and rubbery--far from the delightful, pillowy texture it should be. For a restaurant with this history, execution should be consistent. The coffee and service were warm and attentive, which goes a long way. 3/5 stars. Worth visiting for atmosphere, especially if your pancakes arrive hot. Try during slower service to avoid the window-sit fate. The Portland location executes at a higher level.
