I totally appreciate this local spot with many homemade items (down to the almond milk!). They have gluten-free and vegan baked goods and a nice selection of savory and sweet food items as well. The toast on the side of an egg dish felt homemade (or at least locally sourced). The service was friendly and they have a welcoming little space that doesn't feel too crowded and feels nice to linger in. BUT the thing I can't get past is the price. I thought maybe because they make many of their ingredients or because it could be organic or gluten-free or something that drives the cost up? But then I looked at other comparable places around town: also locally-owned and homemade-focused. CPR is still way more expensive! $7.50 for a 12-ounce mocha PLUS $1.25 to sub oat milk. That's $8.75 for a small drink. The most I can find alternative milk costing per drink is $0.75 in town. No matter how good your food is or how much you've put into it, I cannot justify spending $8.75 for a 12 ounce treat more than once or twice a year. I'm sorry I can't visit more often. :( read more

Coffee Plant Roaster is easily the best coffee and daytime food spot in Eugene. I make a point to stop in every time I'm in town. The coffee is next level--you can really tell they take their roasting seriously and care about quality. The food is just as good as the coffee, which is rare for a coffee shop. Everything I've had there has been excellent. The staff is always friendly, the place is clean, and the whole experience is consistently great. Love it here!! All the workers are super super nice and made me feel very welcome. They all seem happy to be there and we're detailed in taking our order. Food portions are huge and so is the building surprisingly, so there's a pretty good amount of seating too (especially compared to other cafes in the area). The parking lot is a little narrow to navigate but I'm mostly grateful that they even have a lot. I think their tempeh is very delicious and flavorful, kind of a sweet maple-y vibe, and again, can't emphasize how big the size of everything was compared to my usual expectations. Their menu is pretty vegetarian friendly and they have pastries, breakfast options, smoothies etc. Price is on the higher side but I do think you get what you pay for. Also tried their seasonal lavender pistachio latte and the regular chai, both drinks were really nice. They don't have a huge variety of flavors in the coffee menu (2 house made syrups) but I was still happy with there being a fun seasonal option. It's decorated well and I love the tall ceilings. I love this gem! It is really close to where I live, and I love that there are good food options on the menu, instead of just strictly baked goods/pastries to chose from at this coffee shop. Don't get me wrong, their baked goods are delicious also! Their beans are good quality, and I love trying different drinks each time. Last time I tried their housemade Orange Syrup in a latte. It was good, it was different, not-something I would get every time, but it was really fun and tasty! And, they put some candied orange peels on top for garnish. My husband loves their vegetarian breakfast burritos- and I can confirm they are delicious (I have been able to grab a bite or two to sample) and they are very nourishing and satisfying. I also had their fresh fruit Açaí bowl, and it was really delicious as well. Every time we have been there the service has been really friendly, and fast. And, the ambiance is really comfortable inside, I could imagine posting-up at a table and studying for an hour or two with good coffee and food nearby! This looks like an interesting place to stop for a coffee and a bite, mainly because of the Yelp reviews. There is an açaí bowl and bear claw that we are interested in. For now a coffee, brownie and a quick look around to determine yea, nice place, we'll come back for lunch when we have more time. My caramel breve was perfect with a nice medium roast, no french roast heartburn. The parking lot is poorly designed. Mainly because the parking spots are diagonal making it hard to sit here and watch people trying to back in or out. Heck yeah I'd eat here again. The cappuccino was delicious and the Quinoa Bowl was hearty, filling, and healthy! The barista who took my order was both kind and patient. The service was great. I waited about 5 minutes for my drink and 20 minutes for my bowl which is right on time for sit down dining. The L-shaped coffee shop features modern industrial decor with soaring lofted ceilings, exposed pipes, warm colored wood panels and soft lighting. You can park either in the front or to the west. I visited around breakfast on a Saturday and there were plenty of spots. I also was able to grab a table without wait. I will be back to try some of their other dishes and pastries! This is one of my favorite coffee shops in the Eugene area. It has a kitchen so there is great variety of food on the menu as well. Service was usually pretty quick. I would get here early on weekend mornings before the rush. My "go-to" was the breakfast scramble. Pastry spread always had different delicious options for baked goods. One of the workers mentioned once they bake everything in-house. This place is a coffee roaster so the beans are fresh and you can't go wrong with the house drip or single origin. For espresso drinks - I think this is one of the best mochas in town. The seasonal lattes are also worth a try if you're looking for something unique. read more

The space itself is nice but the guy who took my order was not. He seemed bored and barely made eye contact. The prices are higher than average $6.50 for a 12 oz latte and $5.50 for a croissant. When he rang it up, the total came to $14.95, and when I asked if that was right, he said it was. Somehow $2.95 was added to my bill but I decided not to argue it, even though I'd already tipped in cash. Barista guy then plopped a plastic wrapped croissant on a plate and handed to me cold. I sat down in a very uncomfortable wooden chair to wait for my coffee. Even though it wasn't busy, it took an unusually long time to get the latte, which was served lukewarm in a small ceramic cup. The coffee itself was OK but not for $6.50. To sum up: overpriced mediocre coffee and pastry, staff who's unconcerned (at best) with providing good customer service, and very uncomfortable wooden seating. The coffee is great and the food is good. Pricy, but good. The baked good are great and they have options for my lactose free, and GF wife - while pregnant only. I am a garbage disposal with no food allergies and normally GF pastries are the devil, but theirs are actually good. Service is good and fast and I have had only one coffee mess up and they fixed me a new cup and refunded my money. I with they had more baked good for those of us that have the 2:00 coffee junkie itch. By the time I get there in the afternoon on week days all the baked goodness is gone. hopping at noon on daylight savings sunday! there was a line to order but this strikes me as the kind of place that might usually have a line because it's got great food and beverage offerings in a fun, light, clean environment. the chai i ordered was good but considering it came right from the barista's hands to mine and didn't sit for a second, it could have been hotter. maybe ordering it extra hot would be the trick because it lost heat so rapidly i might as well have ordered it over ice. (lesson learned.) the jam bar was great! so large i ate half and then opted to wrap the rest and take it to go for when the sweet tooth strikes later. nice guy working the register and taking orders. tables cleaned between being occupied, which i appreciated! definitely a place to get yourself caffeine or a smoothie and a snack either on a weekend or even during the workweek. the added bonus is that it's outside the downtown business core so you don't have to deal with all the ongoing construction eugene is going through to find parking. read more

What a cute coffee shop! Parking is a little ways from the entrance, but it was doggo friendly, and the food and beverage selection here for breakfast was phenomenal! I enjoyed the decor, funny apparel, and unique food options both made to order and in the glass case. I had a cappuccino and a mushroom spinach scramble. Both were so filling and delicious I skipped lunch later that day. The service here was super friendly, and you can tell there are regulars that frequent the shop often. This place always feels a bit too expensive for what I'm getting. Last time I went there I got a breakfast burrito that sounded good but it had rice in it that I could tell had been reheated but not well enough. There was also just too much rice for the price. It is a nice place to meet people for coffee. The interior is nice and the staff is friendly but I'm not going back for food. My bf was living in Eugene for several years and CPR was his go-to coffee shop for productivity. I only visited with him a few times, but I definitely know why he loved it so much. The staff is very personable and they make a good coffee drink. The vibe is a bit more on the industrial side, but it was cozy enough to post up for a while as you got some work or reading done. CPR offers online shopping! I've purchased some of their coffee beans and a t-shirt from them just recently. But I can't Not give them an amazing review because their food is consistently outstanding. Today I'm having the Quinoa bowl- it has tri color quinoa, roasted chickpeas to a slightly crunchy texture tossed in harissa (it tastes like), Kale and warm sweet potatoes topped with 1/2 an avocado. Simple. Seriously amazing food. The iced latte with oatmilk is also yummy- well proportioned, not bitter. They put love into their products- the servers and baristas are lovely humans. I've only come here for coffee--not just the coffee they serve, but the beans. I think these are some of the best beans in Eugene, honestly. They specialize in medium and light roasts, not charred, which brings out all the subtleties of the beans. If you like acidic, citrusy coffee you're in luck here. They have a medium roast (I think it used to be named for West 11th, but they changed the name) that tastes the closest to Viennese coffee that I can find here. I only came here to work once, and since there is some background music (which most people enjoy and expect), it won't be my main laptop-typing spot. But that's just as well because seating is limited, especially with the virus. This place has a great atmosphere and pleasant decor, and the menu looks good and worth sampling sometime. read more

When I asked politely why they'd rather sell nothing than something she said "it's our policy. I make $15/hr and don't give a fuck about what sells". I hope this business does not keep her as an employee and she finds employment somewhere that will make her happy because she's one miserable pos and my group will not be patronizing again if this is the kind of service that's provided there. Only problem with CPR is that I can not resist the biscuits and gravy gravy. Luckily they offer a half portion. The smoothies are also thick and delicious. The coffee is super. It's not for the faint of heart. Pro tip: turn south at the light at Oak Patch and come in behind Taco Bell to avoid having to turn across 11th or get rear ended because people behind you are idiots.
