Had friends in town and wanted to bring them to one of my favorite spots in Springfield -- Lovely. Best latte around, hands down. I originally started coming here because of Emily. She's a local and has worked at some of the best coffee shops in Eugene, and you can tell. She knows her craft always great service. The coffee art is always on point, and the service is consistently great. I actually check to see when she's working because I know it'll be dialed in. I'm vegan and there are plenty of options, which I appreciate. I had the Lovely Bowl this time -- fresh, flavorful, and filling without feeling heavy. Their juices are amazing too. Everything tastes clean and fresh. Kudos to the kitchen for how efficient they are -- food comes out quick and well done every time. I've had both breakfast and lunch here and it's all been solid. Sat outside with my dog, who loves hanging out and chilling while I drink my coffee. It's a clean, relaxed space and just easy to enjoy. What a lovely place. first time i went to their new location i was pleasantly surprised that the menu was fairly affordable for the small portions and really delicious food. the second time, i ordered something to-go but nobody called my order at the front so my food sat and got really cold as i waited for an extra 20 min even though i was literally sitting right there?bummer and waste of money/time but didn't hold it against them. i returned a couple days ago only to see they added about $6-8 to every menu item and now everything is grotesquely overpriced. idc about inflation, or how healthy the food is, $16 a piece of bread that is as smaller than a modern iphone with some toppings on it is unacceptable. this was a cool place because it merged affordability with health-conscious, locally sourced, simple yet delicious food but they broke it by making everything like beachfront resort priced. i really wanted to see them thrive in the new location but it looks like they've squandered that opportunity due to greed. i took one look at the updated menu and high-tailed it out of there. what a joke because main st. has tons of other options that won't leave you feeling like you paid fine-dining prices for a snack you should've made for yourself. read more

What a lovely place! I got a little too excited and completely forgot to take pictures of the food --which is always a good sign. No complaints from any family members, and my meal was absolutely delicious. I got it to go since I had the pups with me (great place to take them out for a walk). Clean streets. Lots of grassy area and art sculptures in the back of the building. The restaurant has indoor sitting, outdoor heating and not heated outdoor area. Two bathrooms. Parking lot and street parking available. Busy during our visit but they had lots of sitting and games to entertain the family. One thing I really appreciated is that a lot of the dishes let you add avocado instead of it being automatically included. Since I can't have avocado due to an allergy, having it as a side option was perfect. Meanwhile, my kiddos love avocado, so they happily added it. Everything we had tastes fresh. A fitting name for a lovely restaurant. Eclectic coffee shop with a legitimate food menu that was all excellent. Classic breakfast staples and healthy bowls with a rotating special menu highlighting seasonal ingredients. The staff were so friendly and brought food and coffee quickly. Pretty big open parking lot here on a Monday at 2:30pm and only one person ahead of us in line I landed on the chicken bowl and she got the tuna. U order up front and they'll bring your meal over. There's bottles to take to your table so you're not constantly getting up for water I don't know what the house sauce was but I'd spread that all over my plate. It was bomb on the chicken, quinoa, salad and carrots. Give me a bigger piece of chicken please! Lovely is one of my favorites for a quick bite or a slow cup of my favorite beverage. Today I stopped in for a grilled tuna and cheddar and an iced tea. The cheese was gooey and the iced tea had my favorited kind of crushed iced. The staff are always nice, friendly, and welcoming. They have lots of outside seating and less inside. Oh, and don't forget to pick up some of their juices or pickles from their cold case before you leave. They are so good! Lovely has a new, and very spacious, cafe location just down the road from their previous one in Springfield. It's half-indoors, half-outdoors (with shade). We love the vibe of the place, which is playful, sort of Montessori-style, and family-friendly. The biggest perk is that they are open late for a cafe! The espresso is pretty good. It's one of the only places in Springfield/Eugene we order just straight espressos, since other shops can really serve some gross shots. Lovely is much more consistent and their shots are decent! They have a wide variety of treats and foods to choose from, and we've tried a couple. The food is pretty good! The price is a bit of a hindrance for us, but we'll splurge on occasion. If you want a bit of a libation, you can also choose from a wide selection of drinks and spirits here (with a happy hour). My husband likes to get an amaro here - a unique offering for a cafe of this kind! This is our place to hang when we have work to do in the evening when other places are closed, or just to stop in or a decent coffee in the morning sometimes. Food was great, their drinks were all really grossly watered down. my matcha glass had a huge crack in it. when I noticed I told them and asked them to remake it because I was concerned that there might be glass in my drink. they just poured my drink into another glass. When you walk in you order at the counter and pay ahead. They ask for a tip. I love leaving a tip for good service but I have no idea what the service will be up front. I find this metric a little offensive. The lady at the counter was pleasant and patient so I left a nice tip. My husband ordered breakfast and a tea. I ordered a lovely bowl and coffee. I wasn't told I had to serve my own coffee so sat without for over half my time there. My husband's food came out about 8 minutes before mine. I sat and watched him eat his barely warm breakfast to near completion before I got to start eating. He doesn't complain much about luke warm food. I would have sent it back. My food finally got there and it was really good. I had the bowl with added bacon and avocado. Very good! Also I finally got coffee but I'm not a fan of flavored beans so didn't drink but a sip or two. I would probably go back just for the bowl. The staff was friendly and professional. read more

Tried dinner there after reading good reviews about it. It was 50 degrees outside and the garage door to the outside patio was open. The inside dining area was so cold we couldn't take our coats off and were eager to leave when we finished dining. The five of us each had a different dinner choice. Much of the menu is cold sandwiches which would be good in the summer. The wait staff was not particularly friendly. A piece of toast with 2 eggs on it and a little cheese and a few scattered greens was 13.00, seems kinda high, it all fit on a plate the size of a coffee saucer. This restaurant is FILTHY the floors are covered with dust, dirt and debris. The bathroom was CRAMMED full of boxes and a wagon leaving a very small isle way to the toilet. Junk everywhere. Salt shakers are covered in old salt stuck around the rims. Nothing appears to ever be cleaned. With all of the eateries on Main St. I'm surprised this place can stay in business. Short: The place sure is Lovely. Great quality seasonal food and a hipster niche cute place in downtown Springfield. I'd say they usually are a 4 -star brunch place. Visited week of Sept 24th 2022. I haven't visited here in a while and it was way too overdue. I am usually a regular during the warm season. I arrived around 9:30am. Throughout the years I have been visiting, there have been relatively small changes, especially with COVID. Upon arriving, there is a small table with the menu and take away menu. The menu has really been cut and smaller. It used to be 3 pages and now only key dishes are left in the crammed 1- page. I then headed towards the register counter. It was pleasant to see there is now a baked goods shelf and still a colorful drinks menu behind on the chalkboard. [Service]: I won't mark down a whole star [but..] just because I felt this was the one time I did not get GREAT service. I usually do. This time I felt really rushed to put in and finish my order. Not only that, I felt the same worker was somewhat rude in tone, when they said to get my own utensils, since I sat outside. (I was planning to get my utensils once my food arrived). They didn't direct me to where the utensils were even. Usually, when I come, the server is nice enough to direct them to me or hand me some. I honestly regret leaving a tip. [Food]: At LOVELY's, there is usually a good 10-15 mins wait at least. I ordered "Toast Malone"[$14], it is my absolute favorite dish! It is an avocado toast with smoked salmon and poached egg. It usually comes with capers, microgreens, and pickled red onions. I only got pickled red onions in terms of vegetables this time, which I was disappointed about. Then some additional pickles on the side, usually it was more generous. This time I only got 4 slices.. However, their eggs are always poached *perfectly*! I did order for the Toast Malone with the "Mama Lil' Pepper" which is a new addition to me [50 cents], however they FORGOT to add it.. Which further disappointed me. My friend got the "Tuna Sando", she usually gets the tuna melt, but we didn't see it on the menu. It was a tuna sandwich with pickled red onions and microgreens. It was very light with dijon, which can be appreciated. It was pretty packed with microgreens and tuna. The bread was only lightly toasted. It did come with some extra pickle on the side, again only a mere 4 slices. It did taste very flavorful and fresh. Tuna wasn't overly watery and not at all dry. I will note, I am not happy with the new presentation of the food. Before it had a more "rustic" feel, now they are on colorful but awkward plates. The material isn't exactly plastic nor ceramic and has a weird edge to them. I MISS the old metal pan plates! They were really unique and added a special touch to their dishes. Overall, I definitely want to visit again and miss eating the great and LOVELY food here! Maybe this was just an off morning for everyone and I want to give them another chance. Especially, since I know they are great and LOVELY, just this recent visit was missing some marks for me. read more
