I care more about the landscape of these places. 'Landscape is bigger than grape' is my motto (just invented, but sounds cool). Seriously, this is not a wine tasting place but was a site were vine was bottle and in the back of the 2-3 buildings you can see the names of the brands they bottled and years and in what international competitions they participated and all those anecdotes. I saw this like an ideal place to take perfect photo shoots in a very hot and sunny day. I loved walking by the vineyards pretending I am doing some work. They are kind enough to let you wander freely (and free parking too). They have tours but my friend and I preferred the freedom to browse on our own, but really appreciate and value (as a volunteer for several causes myself) the work of these precious senior volunteers dressed in Victorian attire. The baby carriage conquered by heart (I should have brought one of my toys to put in these!). All so lovely, including the poster you get as gift for visiting. Awesome treatment to the visitors. I would love to go back with my picnic basket and enjoy the premises. Definitively I will visit Ravenswood whenever they do one of those historical events I saw in their activities calendar.

There were cookies and hot cocoa for sell. Thank you for supporting guide dogs for the blind. Our club had a booth there and guide dogs were there to meet guests. We had a wonderful time today.

I was guided down Main Street with stops along the way of ghost sightings with a historical narrative of the town. I love hearing about the ghost viewings and learning about the history of the town I live.

Photos of candlestick park in SF just prior to the 1989 earthquake, displays about livestock epidemics as well as early epidemics in California missions, flooding in Sacramento in 1861-1862, the covid-19 pandemic, and even burnt and rusted items from the Camp Fire of 2018 shown behind glass casing. The main collection in the museum included a plethora of documents and objects representing the local area and surrounding cities, displays about transportation like bart, technology in the 1800's, and several antique musical instruments including a hearst organ, with tablets available for interactive learning. The digital exhibit of the Alameda County Fair especially captured my attention, presenting various aspects of its history, photos and descriptions of early fairs, food vendors, entertainment, exhibits, livestock and more... it gave me some ideas, as we were heading to fair after our visit to this museum :D We had zero interaction with staff while we roamed around at our own pace through several different rooms. The small gift shop had items unique to Pleasanton, like books, stationery, puzzles, and even a Pleasanton-opoly board game. Admission to the museum was free, and street parking was easy to find on a Saturday morning.

There are a life size sculpture in the front of the part that shows the early days people lived in California as farmers and hunters , A wooden historic house is located in the middle with sealed glass windows. Inside it has furnitures and all the daily items for the old days . It may need a special permit to consider to learn about the history. All the China and silver ware were preserved. So were the bedroom , study room and dining room . In the Spring when the flowers bloom, the whole park and museum become very photogenic. A lovely piece of architecture and history.

The museum has very thorough information about the Valley and "San Ramon Village" as Dublin was called until 1982. The barn has been painstakingly reproduced and moved from the original Kolb Ranch in Pleasanton. They also have live music every other Thursday and I cannot wait to spend some more summer days here! They currently have a very informative Camp Parks "SeaBee" exhibit in the backroom of the Museum, but be warned if you go on a Saturday there is a really talented bluegrass band that practices in the room. They are great to listen to, but it's hard to view the exhibit. The museum is free, but please leave a donation as places like this need to be rewarded for their work.

It is like a big giant loop. The community center is well kept, the bathrooms are cleaned. It is definitely a good space to have a party for kids especially if they want to utilize the playground or Splash pad. If you are hosting a party during the colder months, then you may need to find some activities inside. I think they have several rooms that you can rent from. The one that we were in did not have carpet, some people like the carpet feel for some parties (like baby shower), but I thought the space was plentiful for a kid's birthday party. The kids were able to run around, play musical chairs and plenty of room for an entertainer.

My boyfriend and I emailed the facility tech Alejandro Ochoa (gochoa@sanramon.ca.gov), the rec coordinator James Spielvogel (jspielvogel@sanramon.ca.gov), and program specialist Nargess Anwar (nanwar@sanramon.ca.gov). They only responded at the very beginning and never responded back when I was serious enough to come an tour. We submitted a form to rent the center for our event. NOTHING BACK. It's been 10 days and counting since we've gotten any response. Don't give them your business. The city (or whoever is responsible) needs to hire people who are competent enough to answer their emails and phones so that they can get business in renting our their facility.

There are cracks on the walls and the shackles and rooftop is very old-fashioned but that just adds to its charm. The owners of the shop were so sweet. They offered water and snacks and are just plain genuine. They didn't put any pressure on us to buy or to leave, even though they were closing up. They seemed more content with people just visiting and gawking at the historical site. This place is also part of the ghost tour held during Halloween. Yup, there have been many incidents here. Like footsteps on the second floor, objects being moved, stuff like that. The staircase within the shop gave me a creepy vibe. It is made of old wood and it is narrow. Looking up to the second floor is eerie and uncomfortable. Maybe I felt that way because my friend just told me that the ghosts known to inhibit the Kottinger Barn can be heard walking up and down these very steps. **Shivers** Ohhh ghost stories give me the willys but I love them! The way the owners set up the back yard is cute. It's ambiance is old and used and also kind of sad and lonely for it looked like it was abandoned for years. I can imagine the ghost sitting on one of the chairs, looking out of the yard at the changed world...(there goes my imagination again)
