We've gone to G&M Farms in the fall a couple years now. We went this morning and had so much fun! The weather was perfect. It was already busy at 11am, but it is a Saturday so that was to be expected. The prices for the pumpkins were very reasonable and they had quite the selection from gourds to bigger pumpkins. We got a lot for $44! Can't wait to come back!

Came here last year for a little halloween weekend trip. I would say that G&M farms is one of the better pumpkin patches you can go to around East Bay in terms of overall value and fun. For one, the parking lot is free, something other places do not offer, and for those that do, are not nearly as expansive as G&M. The main costs are food, souvenirs like pumpkins to take home, and the corn maze, which isn't too expensive either. Because it is free, getting there early is a must. In terms of the actual area, there is a large pumpkin patch with rows of huge pumpkins and wagons to do little photo-ops at. There is a large barn area to get souvenirs, mini corn haystack maze for the kiddies, haystack truck rides, and other areas for photos. But the real fun comes with the maze, which probably is spookier at night-time (but you would have to risk coming later and not having as much parking to go around), but still a lot of fun in the morning/mid-day. Each year, the layout changes and at the beginning you can see a picture of what it looks like on a poster as well as online at their website. There is a beginner section and normal section that we both went to. The beginner one is fairly easy as it says, and we did not have to do any backtracking. The normal one is a bit more confusing, with us getting caught in loops or dead ends a few times but they do offer checkpoints along the way with trivia questions that aren't all hard (they have different trivia depending on age so older folks can challenge themselves) and your answer dictates where the checkpoint points you. We answered wrong once and thats how we got caught in a giant loop. It does get hot in Livermore so do wear a hat if you want to do the maze. Overall, it's one of our favorite Halloween memories.

Honestly, I was going to give it 4 stars, but my partner says I should give it 5 stars, so here we are. Haha. We came here yesterday afternoon, specifically for the corn maze. It is split into two parts. First part is shorter and easier than the second one. Before you start, they have an aerial picture of the maze that people were taking to use as a guide. We decided to not do that as a challenge. There were also the many previous years pics too, so that was cool to see all the different patterns they have done. At first, my partner stated $10 a person seemed a bit pricey for a corn maze. But then during the beginning of the first half, there is a some stairs and you can climb up to have a bit of an elevated view. We soon realized this corn maze is huge and not some kiddy thing. At this time, he said never mind it is worth the $20 for us! There are some trivia stands which give clues on left/right, but again we like a challenge and opted out from reading them. First part wasn't too hard. In the middle of the second half, we got stuck and was lost. We kept going in circles. It was hot and we were thirsty without any water. We finally found a trivia/clue stand and ended up using it for the rest of the maze. Happy to be done as we got tired. Spent over an hour in here, so it was a good use of the $20. There were also a pumpkin patch and some other things for kids. We did not see the others as we realized we spent more time than we thought and had some other plans. He said he thinks he saw pony rides and some kid rides.

Cow ride! Apparently our cow's name was Patty.

The family had a great time. Make sure you arrive EARLY if you are going on the weekend! Cars start to line up to get into the parking lot a good 20 minutes before the farm opens. G&M is very budget-friendly because there is no admission fee or parking fee. So as you can imagine, a lot of people come here and you might need to wait in line for popular attractions like the cow ride. Because we arrived early, we were lucky enough to hop on one of the first few cow rides without waiting in line at all and my son had a blast! The activities they have all cost a token ($5) per person with the exception of the pony ride which is two tokens ($10). The kids liked the jump pads, but there is a time limit (something like 7 minutes?) for how long they can jump when the farm is busy. My sister told me one time she came on a weekday, and they let her daughter jump as long as she wanted. The kids had fun with the mini hay maze and the corn kernel pit. But for some reason, my allergies started flaring up around the corn pit (probably because there was a lot of corn being scooped and thrown around). Not going to lie, this kind of ruined the rest of the day for me since I began sneezing non-stop. So PSA to those people who are affected by seasonal allergies: take your allergy medicine before you come!!! Pro tip: there are multiple stands where you can purchase tokens if you run out. The one near the parking lot tends to have a long line as people begin arriving. But if you walk past the pumpkin patches towards the central area, there is another token stand near the entrance to the cow ride that you can buy tokens at too! I observed the line here generally will be shorter than the one in front of the parking lot.

First time at G&M Farms and it didn't disappoint! I read it was one of East Bay's best corn maze and had a bunch of other fun activities for kids (cow train, pumpkin patch, jumpy thing, hay maze, corn pit - kids love that). Very popular with families, come earlier when opens at 10am for less crowds. Corn maze was fun, split into two halves, first half shorter and second half longer. At the beginning there is an aerial picture of the maze you can take a picture of and use as a guide if you get lost (we challenged ourselves not to use it). First half had a little bridge you can climb up for an elevated view but you still can't tell the path anyways. There are some trivia stands which give clues on left/right. Spent about 40 minutes total. $10/adult. Pay cash to avoid the 30 cents per person credit card processing fee. Enjoy food from food trucks onsite, or head over to nearby Livermore Outlets or Ranch 99 Plaza for lunch options.

I came with a group of friends. None of us had been here before. Pros: admission Free, free parking, strong pumpkin selection, ample seating with picnic style tables Cons: -no real food options. We saw some families bring their own picnics. -$7 corn dog of gas station quality - Icees. They had small and large(more like a grande cup) but refused to give us a Large bc they said they were too busy so were only doing smalls. So I guess they couldn't spend the extra 30 seconds to fill a large. Disappointing. It was also a super hot day! They only had cherry or the blue one. No coke option. -they had 2 food trucks near the corn maze. There's poor directions throughout and I only knew about the trucks bc I had read ahead of time about this. Most folks got stuck at this snack booth bc they thought it was the only food option and also most of the kid attractions are here. - they had a kernel pit for the kids. Small in size but people crammed like sardines. Um, no thank you. This seemed to be the only free attraction for kids, which explains why it was so packed. Everything else you pay for. I saw pony ride, tricycle ride, jumper thing near the corn maze, and a tractor thing that did a small loop. We did the corn maze @$10/person. It was incredibly hot this day and just made the whole maze experience so tiring. For $10 they could include a water bottle with it bc the last thing you want to deal with is a person who fainted. Overall, if you have kids, this place will be fun for them. But if you're just a group of friends like us with no kids, you're only thing to do is the corn maze and then after that you're pretty much done for the day. It's not a big place. They could benefit from a haunted house or something for adults to do. A hard cider tasting flight, more food options. Overall, I would not return here.

An east bay pumpkin patch classic. Pros: Free admission, decent pricing for attractions (most rides are $5/person, $10 for the corn maze), tons of picnic seating, some food vendors, free corn kernel pit and smaller hay maze for the kiddos, good selection of pumpkins, sufficient porta potties, and even some farm animals Main downsides- it gets crowded, so you'll want to get here as early as you can. The hay ride was short and barely lasted 5 minutes. There is very little shade- so you'll want to come on a cooler day.

Dried corn kernel pit, kids loved this

VERY nice Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze. It's very popular so I would go right at open or near closing, we left around 11:30 and the parking lot was full so everyone showing up at that time had to park far and walk over. The best thing is so many things to do, lots of kids rides and games like tractor pulls and a bounce thing, you pay for tokens to go on these rides. Our kids loved the simplest attraction, there was an enclosed area that they filled with dried corn and they loved making "corn angels" and squirming around in it. The corn maze is full size and not a tiny one, if you want to do the whole thing I would set aside 30 minutes to an hour depending on how fast you are. Lots of drinks and food options available, two food trucks at the front and two in the back. There are lots of free wagons for pumpkin hauling, they are all parked in front at the beginning of the day but get more rare as the day goes on. The front area has rows of normal pumpkins to choose from, the area near the farm building has the more decorative ones that are odd shapes and colors.

Fun for the whole family. The patch I normally go to in Sonoma was closed this year so we got on the Yelp site and found this one. It was a wonderful almost exact replica it is to what we were used to. What a great great pumpkin patch. It was a fast convenient drive from where I left only about 40 minutes. 3 minutes. And it takes you out into the countryside. It had all the things that would draw me to a proper pumpkin patch. As. Aside from the pumpkins it had it had hayrides, petting zoo, corn maze, sales room, and various it's other things that were provided to keep entire families occupied. It had a great large picnic area too. There were a couple other rides there that looked like it would be great fun and one of them was called the cow ride and it's pulled by a tractor and it's this long line of these little cars that hold 2 people that look like cows and that was very popular. The hayride to me seems a little short but what can you do the property isn't gigantic. The energy of the kids and the happiness in the singing and the smiling and the costumes for Halloween were all wonderful to see as they ran around selecting the perfect pumpkin to take home and carve. It's as it's as it should be.

The good: Entrance and parking are free. I came today on a Sunday so there was a bit of a holdup with the parking line. You must get in line for tokens to go on the rides or experience the attractions. There's so much to do here! They had a corn kernel pit for kids to play in, bouncy floor areas, a hay ride, a tractor ride in barrels, a small construction vehicle race track, animals to look at (goat, sheep, cow, etc) and more. They also had at least 5 food trucks. There were photo opportunities with some wooden cartoon cutouts. They provide wagons for you to carry your pumpkins. The prices were very fair ($9 for a regular pumpkin, $4-8 for speciality pumpkins in medium size & $1 for various smaller gourds and pumpkins). They also sold kettle corn and other fun snacks. The bad: The soil was a little damp so our stroller wheels needed to be cleaned afterward. I'd recommend a stroller with big wheels or a wagon. The larger pumpkins weren't as beautiful as the ones at Spina Farms in Morgan Hill (the ones there were large, shiny, had twisty long stems and almost fake looking because they were so beautiful). The interesting: They're not open on Halloween because they don't open on Mondays. They were featured on the David Letterman show.

Decently scary. I brought my mom with me last year and she peed her pants and we lost her in the maze for a good 20min when she got spooked and ran away into the corn. Not super kid friendly. It's pretty dark and pitch black in places. There are no… Read more
