My friends and I came here on a Saturday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy. Really cute winery with indoor and outdoor seating options. They're dog friendly too and have water bowls for the fur babies! We sat outside because it was so nice out. There's seating on their deck area that's outdoors but there's also tables down by the pond which is nice. I did the 2023 vino white wine which was delicious, it's more of a sweet wine which I prefer. My friend did the chardonnay which she said was good. The ladies serving us were very nice as well. Best aspect about this winery... the ambiance!!! Sooo relaxing. My friends and I were here during the dead of winter and still found the ambiance/view wonderful, so I can only imagine during the other seasons. Service was fine - there was 1 person there, however it was slow so that seemed to be enough and they did what we needed. Wine itself - one of my friends did not like her wine, which is fine. Most of us did like ours, although also acknowledged that there have been better wines at nearby winery. It may have been the freshness/crispness of the wines, though again I want to acknowledge winter conditions might affect how the wine was stored, served, or experienced etc etc. read more

One word: WOW! My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Glass House Winery. First of all the glass house is gorgeous. I felt like I was hanging out at Lewis Ginter or a greenhouse. The lush plant life inside is beautiful. Not only is the inside stunning, but the outdoor views of the lake and mountains is an extra bonus. It's just an all around charming place. When we first walked in, we had to go to the front to get service. You order what you want from the bar and take it where you want to sit. Erica was our server. She kindly explained all our wine tasting options, suggesting if we wanted to do the chocolate pairing that we just get the box. We decided to try the four wines tastings each. I got the Petit Manseng, the Viognier, the Brose, and the Tempranillo. The Petit Manseng was my favorite. I adored its acidity. Erica was really helpful. When she asked me what I liked in a wine she was able to guide me to the best picks for me and I really enjoyed my wines. My boyfriend and I had our wine in the glass house and played a few card games we brought with us. The views from the winery were stunning. There was also outdoor seating available. I came here with my best friend because I had seen some beautiful pictures on Instagram and needed to see it myself! Not only was it beautiful inside the greenhouse but the wines were also yummy. Like most wineries now you can do a flight of any 4 wines from the list or a tasting, either white or red. I ended up having two flights and was able to taste most of the reds and some whites + the brose. While we didn't taste any of the chocolates (they also have a chocolate wine pairing tasting) they looked so yummy and heard from many others there that they were delicious and well worth the price. If it's a beautiful day, you can also overlook the lake they have on property either on the deck or closer to the water. While they don't have a bunch of food options - they have a full fridge of a multitude of charcuterie options -- cheese & meats. read more

Absolutely adorable place. There's seating inside the greenhouse as well as out by the water. They had an absolutely delightful white wine (I usually prefer red) and their chocolates while expensive are very delicious. They let you bring outside food so perfect for a cute little picnic date. The one thing I will say is while the staff is very friendly, you have to order at the bar and we were there second and 2 other parties that came up after us got served before us, so please speak up because I don't think they keep track of when you arrive. I absolutely love this place! As an avid plant mom, I love the greenhouse style of the main atrium dining area. There are several wines that I truly enjoy here, but I honestly come for the ambiance and the scenery. The last time I went, my boyfriend and I brought all of the fixings for our charcuterie and sat out by the water. It was so beautiful out there and relaxing. I can't wait until the weather warms up again so I can go again. I recommend bringing your favorite wine pairings with you if you go, just to make the experience even better. They have plenty of seating options available; picnic tables and small 2-tops right near the water, tables in the greenhouse near the stage, and even elevated outdoor patio seating with heaters. It's right outside of Charlottesville, so not far from Richmond and other wineries. read more

Super cute winery! The views are breathtaking! I loved every aspect of Glass House! The indoor glass house is filled with a variety of plants and greenery encased in a glass house with open seating. My friend and I traveled here after being in the area and to our surprise there was a live band of educators! They played some old country tunes which created a very calming ambience. Since it was our first time we did a tasting and we were impressed! The wines was semi-dry and tantalizing! I'm a rose' or Chardonnay type of girl and their white wines were definitely palatable! This is such a cute winery, perfect for both a chilly autumn evening or a hot summer day. The views are stunning and the wine is good too. I highly recommend the pina colada slushie, it was life changing for me. Their white wines were good too. The wine flight is good for if it's your first time there. This is a cute and (quaint?) place out in the countryside. We enjoyed the picturesque view from the deck and only walked through the greenhouse seating area. The wine was good. We brought our own food along with us so did not have the chance to try any food here. The terrain is steep so use caution with strollers and wheelchairs. I'm gonna jump right into this one. Annually my family and I vacation in Massanutten with friends and hubby and I always pick a different winery to visit. There were probably 7 wineries if not more closer to the resort we were staying, but I found this winery from Yelp and saw the great reviews as well as called in advance to ask questions and I was sold. The reviews here on Yelp are top notch and the gentleman that answered was informative and kind. I couldn't wait to get there. The entire experience was fantastic. Once we pulled up, parking was easily defined. We parked, walked in and was immediately impressed by 1st sight. A nice mature lady was seated directly in front w wine flight options as well as charcuterie and chocolate options for purchase. There was the cutest and sweetest little pup laying on the floor next to her keeping her company. My husband and I purchased a bottle of wine, cheese and crackers. There were also novelty items for sale, to the right is the conservatory which is open for people to sit and enjoy their purchases and to the left is the tasting room as well as the door to the furnished wraparound patio. There was a band playing while we were there. Everything was absolutely perfect for a Sunday afternoon of relaxation! This was a great day, fantastic views and adequate seating. After staying for a few hours we decided to walk out closer to the vineyard. Beautiful! Made for great pictures! I also enjoyed the use of the mountain backdrops and they have an onsite pond. This place is perfectly located on a large area of land and although was 45 minutes from where we were staying, I don't regret a thing. Fantastic use of space and great customer service! What a beautiful winery! It's hidden away in the depths of CVille so the experience actually starts with the scenic drive. Make sure you review the directions before starting because you will most definitely lose signal along the way. We sat in the greenhouse but there is an outdoor seating option too for when the weather behaves. The greenhouse was beautiful and very spacious. The winery had taken appropriate precautions to keep things clean and distant during the pandemic so I felt relatively safe and comfortable even in an indoor social setting. We ordered a red and a rose ( called Brose, Haha)- both excellent. We also bought chocolates on a last minute whim and they paired with the drinks very well. We came on a Sunday at noon, right when it opened. By the time we left around 2 - it was pretty packed so I do recommend coming early if you can to have your first choice picks for everything. read more

This winery is neat. It's a greenhouse filled with tall plants by a lake so the outdoor views are amazing. You can choose to sit inside, on the patio or by the lake. They are only doing flights or bottles of wine during COVID-19. We decided to do the full glass house sampler since you get to try all of the wines, the other flight options are a red wine flight, white wine flight or the glass house basic flight. They also make their own chocolates but we didn't try any. It's worth checking out for the views but we just didn't care for the wine. read more

This winery is a little further out for those who are staying in the mountainous resort area -- around 30 minutes or so. The greenhouse -- or the Glass House, as the name implies, is just the beginning, but we'll start with that. Once I stepped inside, the site was so cool!! I was surrounded by tall plants that separated a few tables, and a very quaint fountain right near the door. Some stairs led to the main bar, where we were greeted by one of the employees. Menus were distributed showing their flight options -- which are the only things they serve right now. During COVID they aren't serving by the glass, just 4 different types of flights... One which pairs the wine samples with food. The flight we decided to go with was epic -- a whopping 15-sample flight which included white, rose, red and dessert wines. The flight was provided on a tray and the wines were in ramekins, labeled with letters to designate which wines they were. We had a nice description of each wine as we were trying them. Here are my favorites: White - Vino Signora Rose - Brose Red - 21st/Audace Dessert - Meglio del Sesso (I GOT A BOTTLE) The winery is near a very large pond with plenty of nearby seating, so this was another great experience for wine drinking. My description can't even do it justice. But I will tell you this --- it's a must-visit! Do yourself a favor and visit them and try their stuff! read more

The setting of this winery is so pretty and unique, definitely makes it worth the visit. One of the few places during the busy Labor Day weekend where the staff asked where we were from and what wines we liked to drink normally. While we really only enjoyed a few of the wines we tried the experience was still fun and the chocolate and wine pairing tasting was fun. I would recommend this winery for sure! read more

Im certain the tasting pours were less than an ounce, but the glass pour was appropriately generous and made up for it. I'm not big on dry white wines, but the Chardonnay was really enjoyable and easy to sip! I've heard the chocolate is amazing but did not try it this time. We bought a dozen chocolate pieces of a variety of flavors, and all were delicious. I was really impressed with the wines and chocolates. The seating area is a greenhouse! The staff is friendly and fun! The outdoor area looks really nice too, but it was raining when we were there so we could not enjoy it. We look forward to soaking that in next time. Arrived in a group of 6 and sat outside to have our cheese and crackers/wine. Glass House allows you to bring your own food which is nice. We had 2 bottles of the sparkling TJ. Everyone enjoyed it. The woman at the counter did not know how much it was and took a bit of time to make the transaction which was ok. The only disappointment was that she was not very friendly. We were there for 1 1/2 hours because the weather and the view were so nice. We bought a second bottle; however, nobody ever came out to check on us or see if we wanted more of anything. They could have sold us more, told us about the vineyard or something. Only 3 stars due to the lack of customer service. read more

In an area of so many winery's to choose from, we found one that is on top of the list! Set at the end of a quiet street with a green house filled with plants and tables for relaxing as you sip your wine and sample the cheeses that are for sale! We sat outside on the side deck on a beautiful sunny winter day and enjoyed the view of the lake as we listened to the peaceful chimes echoing around the property. They offer a very nice selection of wine! My favorite red wine was "21". There's a custom designed house on the property made completely out of wine bottles, here is where the tastings are done! We Stayed at the B&B and enjoyed a terrific weekend. The winery is excellent with good choices. For Friday and Saturday they had a small musical group that were fun and interacted with the crowd. On Friday evening a pizza food truck provided quite good pizza! The B&B was fun. It's an open design and well lit, the breakfasts were fine. Jessica our innkeeper is a wonderful young lady,tThat took care of all our needs. Now, the B&B is still a work in progress, as they are upgrading and improving.
