Live music and covered outdoor seating *also, dogs are welcome

Eleventh stop of our wine tasting weekend - Saturday 6pm. We've been to Hark a number of times and noticed that they are renovating on this trip. They are building a huge tasting room on the edge of the green space. I'm excited to see what it looks like. They are currently offering tastings, glasses, and bottles out of a converted trailer behind their winemaking warehouse. We were greeted by live music and a good truck when we arrived. See photo for the current wine tasting options. All of the reds were stellar. Hark continues to make quality wines, and they now have a female winemaker. We will be back again and again!

Scenery of this vineyard is nice, and they have a good outdoor set up that is dog friendly (if it's not too hot). It's a very nice place, but small while they are doing renovations. I only gave it 4/5 because the wine that we sampled (both reds and whites for the month) were just okay. None of them stuck out. Service was also fine! Definitely a nice place to relax and unwind though!

Came here for the first time back in December of 2021 after a meet up at another winery. I have to say the wines here are amazing! They have a decent size property where you can be distanced from others if you'd like. They also have fire pits that are absolutely wonderful! The staff here is also top-notch! Also feel free to bring your dogs here as they are a dog friendly winery!

I had the pleasure of visiting here on their opening weekend. The tasting room isn't ready yet, so they are serving from the production area. Hark is relatively big operation - at least by comparison with their neighbors. The owners definitely invested in the infrastructure, so they have a lot of space for production. I even got a quick tour of the place after my tasting. The wines are above par, which I attribute to a combination of a really good growing site and their partnership with a local winemaker who's been in the business for a while. They serve not only Hark-branded wine, but also wines from their winemaker's private label. You'll likely have to wait a few years for the full tasting room to be open, but don't let that dissuade you. They are part of a wine trail with several excellent neighbors, and Hark is a great addition.

Although the tasting room at Hark has been open less than a year, it instantly zoomed to the top five of my favorite wineries in VA. I've been a fan of Jake Busching's wine since discovering his F8 and Cab Franc at a local Cville restaurant a couple of years ago. Having him as the winemaker at a local vineyard is a dream come true for all of us! The owners and the staff at Hark are all fabulous and very helpful. It sucks that we're in the middle of a pandemic while the weather has been beautiful. It's been perfect for winery days. At least they're offering shipping until the tasting room can safely open again. I'm not sure how things will be when we're able to venture back out in the world, but on my previous visits to Hark, there were two different tasting options available. It was perfect for sharing with my partner since we wanted to try everything. We were also able to just pop in for a glass or bottle and hang out (which we fully took advantage of on a couple of visits). I'm really glad I was able to experience several visits before the lockdown. All photos were taken before the health crisis.

One of my most favoritus' vineyards!! Talk about quality - Jake B. is killing it at Hark with flavorful and well crafted wines. I have followed this winemaker since tasting the F8 & Cabernet Franc at a restaurant in Cville and I have been hooked ever since. Hark is maintained by a warm, knowledgeable and unpretentious staff. Sabrina & Paxton (plus others) gave us a rundown of the wines being served and schooled us on the background of Hark. Also they are cool as heck. The interior and exterior of the building is clean and well maintained. Seating available inside and out. My advice try the F8 and the 2015 Cabernet Franc plus whatever else you can get your hands on.

Really good vibes! Lots of spaces for seating and absolutely gorgeous views! They had house and reserve tasting all so very good! Lots of selection and very friendly staff. We were able to bring our own food, which was a plus!

A wonderful first visit to Hark Vineyards. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. They even brought us a fire pit all the way out where we were sitting. The most Covid cautious winery we have been to yet. Will definitely return! Oh, and the wine is delicious!

We just stopped by this place for a quick wine tasting and were really impressed. The scenery is beautiful and we sat right among the vineyards overlooking the hills. They had outdoor sales and serving and staff were wearing masks to accommodate, which I really appreciated, it felt very safe. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Did the Reserve tasting, enjoyed them all but particularly the reds. Bought a bottle of the 2016 F8 red which we're excited about! Would definitely return.

There is a large event space, a spacious tasting room, and ample outdoor seating which is mostly shaded to enjoy even on a hot sunny day. My wife and I both enjoyed flights of wine and followed them with a glass of our favorites. The flights are served nicely and every pour is in its own glass, no reusing or cheap plastic cups here. With so many positive reviews, how could we go wrong? They set us up in the cutest little private cottage and we're so sweet. Unfortunately that's where the charm begins and ends. We got five different wines to try. The bubbly was good but the rest were awful. No one in our group of ten found them even remotely drinkable. The one red was so acidic, my friend was up until 4:00am with an upset stomach from the acid burn. It's incredibly disappointing how bad the wines are given how cute the space is and how friendly the staff is. We went back to our Airbnb and opened our own bottles afterwards to cleanse our palattes.

The wines are excellent and there are several tasting options you can choose- I believe there was a red flight, a white flight, and a "signature" option that had both. You also have the option to build your own flight, which I always love. The 2024 rosé is a standout, we picked up several bottles to bring home. We could not believe how good the food was- it was worth a trip in its own right! It's on the pricier side but it is clear why, the plates wouldn't be out of place at a fine dining restaurant. We also had the kindest server, Chelsie, who made our experience so special and memorable! She stopped by to chat several times, gave us great recommendations, and she could not have been nicer to me and my friends. We were lucky enough to attend our dear friends' wedding here and it was a spectacular wedding venue. The space is just beautiful and the catering was incredible- some of the best wedding food we've had by far. We liked it so much we came back to visit the tasting room the next day :) This is a perfect stop on the way to Charlottesville from the DMV and a gorgeous place to spend an afternoon.
