I ordered a glass shelf for my kitchen cabinet. They cut it and called me to pick it up. Shelf was great but they handed me the shelf with no packaging to protect it. I asked them to wrap it and they said no, they don't do that. WHY? Thankfully I had a blanket in my trunk to protect it so it wouldn't get broken. Not good customer service! read more

I don't want any potential customers to be unaware of their crap service, so here is my review from their other page: This schlock operation was hired by my landlord to replace some glass in the apartment above us. I guess the individual didn't feel it necessary to clean up the trail of glass pieces he created bringing said glass down two flights of stairs. My 20 month old is still working on climbing stairs and often uses his hands to crawl up. Some of these pieces were very small, hard to see, and extremely sharp. read more

I was referred to them by my realtor. We had a couple of windows with cracks in them, so I called and they sent a guy out. I asked "would you happen to know anyone who can repair windows too? Our basement window was attacked by a baseball and I had no idea what to expect in terms of repair. It was one pane of the window inside a sealed window well. Glasshopper was very helpful in talking through the process. They were speedy in coming out to the house to measure and promptly called back with an estimate for repair. Very unfortunate experience with this company which I have used in the past with no problems. I provided a corner template and written measurements for a protective glass top. I received it dirty with oil or grease that was difficult to remove and the length was wrong. The staff and manager refused to refund or recut a piece for me. They wrote the length wrong on the receipt and said that is the length I gave them even though they had written instructions. Now I'm out $164 and have a piece of glass I can't use. You would think they would want to correct their mistake and reuse the glass for another project. Very disappointed. read more

Try to get a piece of glass cut at a big box store. Most don't do it anymore, and the ones that do are aggravated that you made them do anything but waddle around the store. I was in and out in 10 minutes with my giant piece of glass. I opened the door to a super friendly woman and she took my order and the glass was being cut before I had my wallet out. It seems like they do all types of special glass stuff here too. But I am a simple man with simple glass needs. I have kids so I anticipate needing more glass cut int he future. read more

We had a shelf break in our china cabinet and have a party coming up for which we want everything to look its best. After calling a few places, I was referred to Glasshopper. I called and placed an order over the phone - which is nice because I have a toddler and did NOT want to have to drive with a huge piece of glass in the car just to have a new one cut. They were able to cut me a thick, polish-edged piece for our cabinet really quickly. It was ready the next day. The price was really reasonable; the staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Called 3 times to receive an estimate for glass repair to windows and the girl that answered "glasshopper" kept hanging up on me as soon as I said I was interested in an estimate, because I called from work, I then called a 4th time from my cell phone and the same girl answered .... as far as i am concerned this business is horrible...thankfully never got an estimate for window repairs, as I could not reach a reputable receptionist or person to give any information to, what a joke! I had to have the glass in four windows replaced. The gentleman came and measured each window the day after I called. The order was placed and came in when they said it would. The installers came at the time they promised and replaced all four, including a large patio door window, in just one hour! One of the Windows was not quite the right size. This is the only reason I didn't give five stars. They installed it, used spacers to keep it tight and promised to order the proper one. They were very pleasant and courteous and did a beautiful job! We had a total of 10 broken seals that needed to be done. Two of the employees came out & fixed 7 of them. The 3 remaining needed to be remeasured & for them to come back out. For the inconvenience they said they would do 1 window for free. Five days later my daughter who is 8yrs old ended up getting glass struck in her hand. Called the next day to let them know what happened. Talked to the manager Larry & he was apologetic & the 2 employees came back to clean up all the window sills & the floor that had the silvers of glass left behind from them not cleaning up their work in the first place. The manager said he would talk with the owner & see what we can do from there. I called back to let him know we will be going out of town & would get the 3 windows done when we got back & wanted to know what the owner said about the situation that happened to my daughter & what discount they were going to give us. He said $100 off & the owner wasn't going to talk to me . To my surprise I was pretty shocked that the manager said that the owner doesn't really deal with residential & wasn't going to talk to me. The manager asked me 3 times what I was expecting to get! He was very disrespectful & said it was an accident & $100 was good enough & said the employees were sorry about my daughter getting cut & they did their job by coming back to my house & cleaning it up.Our realtor had referred us to this company & we were trusting that this place of business would do the job professionally. Needless to say very discouraged & disappointed in this company. I called & talked to the manager again & said I will pay you for the work that was done, but will not go any further with getting the other windows installed. My reason for leaving a complaint is so this will not happen to other house holds with children especially & that the work done in my home wasn't done properly!
