It's right on 9th near The National - FYI, 9th is a one way street so you may have to go up 10th for a block and loop back around. The name on the door is "BC Modern Furniture" and they're open Fri-Sun from 10-4. In addition, they run estate sales and host one day flea markets so check their website for upcoming events and sales. If you visit the store, know that it's mostly mid-century furniture with some same era collectables thrown in. It's not a huge place but it's very, very well curated. This is some of the nicest looking vintage furniture I've seen in town - lots of sideboards, dressers, end tables and some truly glorious sofas. Prices are commensurate with the quality - a big 2 piece sectional sofa with immaculate original upholstery was in the $600 range. That said, they're willing to negotiate so if you see something you love, have the conversation. The Mister grabbed a fun Maifest stein and a vintage German decor mag from 1964 for $10, so we left happy. They are adding things all the time so if you're trying to up the hipster cachet on your sweet Bay View bungalow definitely check them out.

He drove down from Milwaukee to Racine just to sit with us, talk and give us a lot of helpful info. We didn't really have any items that he deals in but he still sat with us and was very helpful. We offered to compensate him for his drive with gas prices so high and he absolutely refused. I would recommend contacting him if you are interested in the services he offers!

Staff are extremely helpful, checking up to see if you need anything from off the shelf. From Transformers to LPS to TMNT, they have everything you could possibly want in vast quantities--clearly labeled and organized--and easy to access. Prices are EXTREMELY fair. For a lot that would've likely cost me $200+ on Ebay, I paid $95 for it all. Please, do visit, and leave a good review! This business has many ignorant reviewers, and deserves all the praise it can get. Amazing place, will come again.

I stopped in to check out their video games and Funko Pops for sale. I was excited to see they had a few GameCube games as there was one in particular I wanted, but they didn't have it. I found a VR game for PS4 that slightly interested me, but it was priced at $14 and is worth around $10, so I passed on it. I saw an SNES peripheral that was intriguing, but couldn't see a price tag on it and it may have been missing a piece. There are sections for items like board games, DVDs, clothes, and video games, but I feel like a large amount of items in the store are different kinds of action figures, whether that's wrestling, Power Rangers, superheroes, etc. Not my cup of tea, but I could see it really appealing to action figure collectors.

Things here are like that found in nearly any old farmhouse or home in the late 19th and early 20th century. It took me back to a combination of my grandfather's tool shed or my grandparents farm home. It was fun and a tad sad. The owner has just taken over the property in the last couple of months, so not everything is priced, but if you ask, he'll be able to tell you. It's clear inventory is still being moved around. I never stopped by when the Olde Store was under the previous ownership, so it may be different for those who have. My visit, too short to spend time looking at things in detail, did allow me to see the treasures. Glassware, china, curios, a wood burning stove (at least I think it was), sanders, a dial phone, toys, paperback books from the 1950s or 60s, I think, pictures, a small selection of jewelry, periodicals, and even several photo albums with photos from the 30s. These weren't just random, though, the photo albums were themselves from the era, with the black pages and glued backed corners. It was a pretty impressive historical record. The Olde Store, should it keep the charm it has, will be a fun shop to visit again. For someone looking to capture a perfect antique, it will be a good place to start the search.

This is a little shop that can't be missed. There is parking on the street and in back of the shop. If you are out on a lovely day looking for deals, pop on in and see what tickles your fancy. I don't imagine items stay on the shelves too long so if you like it buy it. That's my motto at any thrift and antique shop. It's also why I'm always broke :) ** EDIT ** I'm pretty sure these guys are on HWY 100 now.

They were sincerely trying to help me and looked through all the phones there (a lot ) every time I went in. You know how it is. You tell yourself you're going to back up those PICs and the information on all the people you need to stay in occasional connection with but you just don't realize how much you don't do this until you lose a phone. But the weeks turned into months and I gave up hoping I'd ever recover that phone and then 6 months later this nice fellow from Ford Bros. tracked me down by calling my contacts to return my phone! He gets abandoned phones in lots from places like municipal governments or whatever and before he sells any of them he goes through each of them to make sure they are clean and that is just unbelievable. Mine was in a lot he picked up from some town in Southeast Wisconsin so how it got there from State Fair is a mystery that will probably never be solved. He went through a lot of trouble to return my phone to me and then tried very hard to refuse my reward. Actually I'm not sure that he ever even cashed my cheque. That was Cole but I'm betting his brother is just as ethical. They have a Milwaukee location too, if you need to move antique, collectible goods or liquidate an estate you can bank on the honesty of this operation.
