I wanted to love this. I really did. Early Mother's Day with the family. Wheelchair accessible…read more Tables are low not a high table/stool for my mom. Painting and margaritas, sounds good, right? We arrived on time- not set up for us yet- We looked around super cute space, lots of fun art supplies- would be fun for kids. We were down one in our party. We sat down and their completed example was on an easel- there were 4 of us and only 3 pieces of paper (shaped like an easel) with paint (red, white, blue, and yellow). I asked for one more- and it felt like I was asking for too much and putting them out. We were given 2 brushes each- my larger brush - the bristles were stuck together- I asked for an alternate one- and I was given another. (We were the only ones who signed up/showed up?). Also, we were surprised for a margarita paint and sip, we had no margaritas/ only hard seltzer margarita flavored- I am not supposed to drink anything with bubbles/carbonated. Ok, I drank one anyway.... I was disappointed when we found out- this was a "self-guided" painting experience. We had no idea that no one was going to teach us anything. The picture example was up there and we were told it was best to paint the background first. The margarita glass was drawn on our canvas. I have been to other paint and sips- but with an artist walking us through the steps. This felt more like open art space hours. I was disappointed. I wanted to love this space. It's close to home, seems woman owned, and has great potential. For Me, and my group, I don't feel we had the experience we expected. I wish the staff was more interactive, provided guidance; instead the 3 of them were at a nearby table creating social media and we listened to the same playlist overhead on repeat. It's a great space, I'd call and ask how the paint/sip was run if you are looking for a guided paint class.

Our painting host was exceptional, making us laugh as we painted. The drinks were magnificent!…read moreKudos to Chris, the bartender! We can't wait to come back.

My friend and I went to this newer crafting studio located near downtown Waukesha tonight. They…read moreoffer wine, hard ciders, hard seltzer's, soda, and I believe beer (I'm not a beer drinker so I didn't pay attention to that). They also have light snacks and sandwiches. The space is bright and open with many different project options. Generally, it is recommended that you go to their website and pick a project at least 24 hours in advance so they can prepare the materials and stencils (if needed). The projects are very reasonably priced compared to other similar places and they are more than willing to customize projects based on pictures you send them! We arrived and got a bin with our wood boards and other supplies. We started by sanding the boards and putting them together and staining/painting them. The owners are very friendly and helpful through the whole process. They have many stain, paint, and glitter options to really customize your project! We had a blast and found it to be very relaxing! The owners also won't let you help clean up -- a plus when you just want a break haha. I can't wait to go back! I should also note that they do many different projects such as string art, dirty cup paintings (which look awesome), clocks, and even candle holders. They accommodate groups for birthday parties and bachelorette parties as well! Overall, if you are looking to do some crafting I'd say check out Artsy Bliss!
