I went to this nail spa for the first time with my little sister to treat her to get her nails done. The overall vibe coming in was really nice, there was a man and few ladies who were welcoming. The lady who did my little sister's nails was awesome. She was really patient and so outgoing, knowing that they tend to get distracted really easily. I ended up making an appointment to redo my nails, since I had them done and I did not like them one bit. It is heartbreaking to see my daughter treated so poorly by an employee named Cindy. I have been coming to Glaze Nails for at least a year now and can say that my nails have never looked better!! Cindy is so funny and I enjoy her personality even though it is strong. She stands up for herself and her business and a lot of people can't stand that. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I feel as if the price changes a lot. I usually go in for a full acrylic set and end up either paying over 100 dollars or around 70. It does tend to get a little confusing and I would like to know where the cost is coming from. I'll start out by saying that the salon itself is really nice, well kept, clean - but I'm actually not sure how they've gotten all of these 4 star ratings because the customer service here is actually the worst that I've ever experienced. I've been here a few times and the owner was so nasty the last time I called to make an appointment that I didn't even show up. Terrible customer service. My daughter has gone here 3xs and the services provided have been fine. Today I called to make an appt and spoke to a very rude person. She cut me off almost as soon as I was making my appt request to tell me it was not available, was extremely unhelpful when I was asking what was available. It was all just uncalled for. I asked for her name and she told me I didn't need to know that and basically hanged up on me. So we won't be using them any longer. I have been going to Glaze for a while now, it is more expensive than other salons but it is conveniently located for me, and the techs are usually nice so I didn't mind too much. But I went in for a gel pedicure today and while the tech (Lili) was using the pumice on my heels she scraped it HARD against the back of my ankle. It felt like a cheese grater being dragged over my foot. I asked her to stop and that it was hurting. I showed her the raw sore she caused and she tried to say it was from my shoes! I said again, no you just did that with the pumice then she blamed me saying I turned my foot and I needed to keep it straight! I was shocked, in disbelief because she didn't say sorry or anything. A few minutes later she cut into my toe with the cuticle clippers and I said "Ow, that is hurting me" which she replied it was my fault because I had cut my nails too short. Finally when I went to pay I asked to use my 10% discount (which you get after 10 visits) and she said I couldn't use because she was new and didn't know how. There were 4 other people, so you would think someone would know. Then she changed her story and said only Cindy can do it because of the system. First, friendly, mask wearing guy at the front (behind plexiglass) checks you in and directs you to the color. Second, Pedicure tubs have the disposable tub liners which I love! Lots of pedicure options to choose from, I got the 50 min detox pedicure--pineapple sage! Super friendly nail technician, Belle, did a great job. I brought my own color but then found one at the salon that I liked way better so ended up going with theirs for the pedicure and getting a great manicure, too! My nail tech was very friendly and sweet but she did cut me twice with the nail dremel and I ended up having half my nail come off with the acrylic upon removal due to a small hole in my nail from where it was nicked. The atmosphere was nice and seemed hygienic so maybe I would go back for just a regular mani pedi. read more

This salon is so cute I'm disappointed to write it a subpar review. I was out nearby at a dr appt at the loudoun inova and decided I had extra time to Kill that morning so I searched for a salon nearby for a pedicure. This one said it was having a grand opening and less than two miles away I went over around 1045am. Staff was friendly and greeted upon walk in. Told them I wanted a pedicure and they instructed me to pick a color from the walk of various opi colors. Sat down and was given a menu, their pedicures range from $30-55 and beyond but I opted for the $55 detox pedicure since I figured this will be my last pedicure for a while ( giving birth in a month ) This was one of the most painful pedicures I've had in years. The cuticle pushing was rough and on my right toe I know I'm prone to ingrown nails the tech dug in deep and it hurt. Foot scrub was with what felt like a Brillo pad for an uneven amount of time per foot. I had a blister on the bottom of my left foot from breaking in Birkenstock's which I guess was overlooked since he scrubbed right through it and now it's an open wound. For $55 I would definitely find another salon that is more relaxing. It felt rushed and the scrubs nor lotion 'massage' were relaxing. The pro? The color application looks nice and there are enough coats of color for a nice opaque look. Dried quickly and despite the actual pedicure not being that great, the end result is ok. Won't return though... also thought was odd I wasn't offered something to drink till I was about to leave. In hot weather like this it would have been nice to have when walking in. read more

Went to this establishment for the first time tonight for a essential pedicure and manicure. I must admit that the young lady who helped me, Jenny did a fantastic job on the pedicure, however the manicure left a lot to be desired. Jenny went through all of the procedures necessary for manicure but as I was sitting in front of the fans having my nails to dry, she proceeded to pack up her things and go home. Another so she came over and told me that I my nails were dry but just be careful. I felt rushed out of the establishment and was very surprised that my technician had left the establishment before I had even left. Well it's been about an hour and one nail is already chipped and several others still have nail residue around the cuticle. read more

Absolutely love this place! The space itself is very large, has a beautiful decor, and is extremely clean. One thing I love is that they have their color selection divided and labeled so it's easier to pick between gel, regular, etc. I'll start by saying that I cannot recommend KD enough!!! She is such a talented and kind tech, I will not see anyone else in northern va! She does my pedicures, manicures, and eyebrows. Any time I get picky about color or shape, she addresses it right away without hesitation. I also overheard a customer request quite a few different colors be painted on her toes to decide which she likes best, and her tech happily did so, whereas other places I've been to in the area are not so happy about those types of requests. The techs here really seem like they care about their customer and their craft, it's quite refreshing! Now, onto the work done! I got their most basic pedicure with gel polish and even though I'm paying for their cheapest one, I still got a very long, very relaxing massage and a lot of attention to prettying up my feet. They are taking so many precautions to keep the process as clean as possible, which is so important during COVID-19, like lining the foot tub, sanitizing, etc. Onto the manicure. I went from my natural short nails to tips being added on, gel, and gel polish, and wow do I feel like a woman again! I haven't seen KD in about a year and she remembered exactly the length and shape I wanted. Lastly, I got a simple eyebrow wax to clean up my COVID mess.
