Juliette gave us realistic expectations about the asking price after doing due diligence. We were happy with her assessment. We had full confidence in her due to her excellent reputation and vast experience and knowledge. Reva went down to the condo numerous times to meet with people from flooring, painting, lighting, cleaning, and staging companies, and to check on progress. All of this meant that we could stay home in Half Moon Bay and avoid commutes to San Jose. This was important because my husband and I both work, and it would have been difficult to take time off to do these things. Reva was very thorough and timely in her communications with us. Reva and Juliette kept costs in mind and saved us money where they could. For example, a valve needed a simple repair, and after getting approval from the inspector and a plumber, Reva asked the lighting person to fix it instead of hiring a plumber. She offered various staging options as well. They were both flexible and accommodating with the estate sale people when there were scheduling conflicts. Jackie expertly handled the documents, disclosures, and closing process. She worked with the HOA as needed. She saved us considerable time and inconvenience by dealing with the HOA herself and by providing the ability to sign documents electronically. So when it came time to actually buy, we knew she'd be a hard-worker for us to satisfy what we were looking for... She had the patience to deal with a really long and drawn-out process (apparently my name is similar to an alias used by some Burmese drug-lord and the stupid mortage company couldn't figure out that we were not the same person) and was with us throughout the whole process. So far I'm Impressed!…read more We are 1st Time Home-buyer's - We were uneducated and petrified on the aspect of buying our 1st home. We were referred to Marian Bennett out of the Half Moon Bay Office. She is very detailed oriented - She is great at her job - very thorough. She has a great interactive website - however we found Redfin to be equally as helpful. All I can say is that she is looking out for us. She follows up daily, gives advice on what to look for; looks out for our best interest; suggested other alternative housing within our budget; clearly explains everything. She never suggestively told us what place to pick, what price to pay. But guided us to make our own decisions, which is what a good real estate agent is supposed to do. We are currently in contract status - but not counting our chickens until they hatch. If you have the opportunity to request someone on the Peninsula (San Mateo, Pacifica, San Bruno, Daly City, South San Francisco, Half Moon Bay etc..) Ask for her!! Will give an update at the end of this process! ***************UPDATED 1/15/09****************** Finally key is in our hands. The REO buying process is a crazy one and we would have never been able to do this without Marian and Coldwell Banker. Nor would we have wanted anyone else. If your a buyer use this woman - Ask for her - and let her do her job, which by the way you can tell she takes pride in her work. We had quite a few snaggles with Stewart Title (whom will receive there own less than par rating) making tons of miscalculations and mistakes however Marian was a Warrior for us! She always had "Her Buyers" in mind. Her recommendations for Contractors, Flooring Specialists, Mortgage Brokers, Inspection people etc always proved to be professional, courteous and good value.
