RESPONSE TO THE BUSINESS REPLY: 1. I signed a HIPAA release…read moreform in order for them to send me the x-rays, so the claim in their reply about me exposing details of my dental condition isn't valid. 2. I did not ask for a *same day* cleaning, I just asked to schedule *a* cleaning, so that is also a lie (screenshot of my email and their direct response attached). --- DO NOT GO HERE. I read all the reviews on this office being shady but I have Delta Dental HMO so I didn't have many options. I got x-rays done and Dr. Behradnia told me I needed a crown for an existing filling he claimed wasn't sealed. He tested that tooth and I don't have any sensitivity there, so the filling wasn't too close to the nerve. I decided to not get the crown after getting a second and third opinion, and I asked the front office if I could just get the cleaning and not the crown. THEY DENIED ME THE CLEANING BECAUSE "it is the office policy for most dentists that the patient only has one dentist diagnosing and treating their oral needs, not two or more." I consulted the former Chief of General Dentistry for 30 years at one of the top hospitals in Boston, and another dentist who graduated from BU Dental School and both of them said this response is unethical. They're withholding a CLEANING just because I don't want to go forward with a crown, which is entirely unrelated to just a normal cleaning--this place is a scam.

They are not respectful of people's time and dishonest. 1…read more I had crowns done. My bite was not right. The doctor asked me to come back to correct it instead of fixing it immediately. I went back 2 more times to get it fixed but the doctor could not and would not fix it. He insisted that I could get use to it. 2. I was scheduled for a teeth cleaning. My appointment was moved around several times without my full knowledge. The office should have alerted me by phone. Instead they only emailed me - like a reminder for my appointment. I thought I've written my appointment wrong. Later I found out that the office needed to fit in an emergency patient. I would have happily rescheduled my appointment to accommodate. As a result, I only had half of my mouth cleaned. I was outraged. The doctor told me that was a common practice there. Because of my complaint, they moved someone else's appointment so I could have the other side of my mouth done. I refused because it would only perpetuate the problem for another person. 3. This office has improper practices in tacking extra procedures to raise the cost. For a teeth cleaning and I was told I needed a deep clean, fluoride, antibiotics and an injection to numb the area. I've never encountered such unnecessary work.

The front office staff has great communication and when I have had an urgent matter they get me in as quickly as they can. I don't feel like they are trying to sell me anything - just good care.

During my deep cleaning with Dr. Leila Jamshidi, the appointment felt very rushed. I've had deep…read morecleanings before, and they have always been much more thorough and taken considerably longer. One side of my mouth was completed in about 12-15 minutes. When I returned for the other side, I experienced significant discomfort during the procedure. Dr. Jamshidi told me she had accidentally poked a blood vessel and that I might feel jittery for a few minutes, which would pass. While I appreciated the explanation, I was surprised that there wasn't any acknowledgment or apology for what had happened or for the discomfort I experienced. A couple of weeks later, I returned to discuss my concerns and saw Dr. Wang. Unfortunately, that visit wasn't much better. I felt my concerns were dismissed, as I was repeatedly told the deep cleaning had gone well and that there was nothing wrong with my gums. I mentioned that gargling with warm salt water may have helped relieve some of the discomfort afterward, but my point was that I didn't expect to need home remedies after a routine dental procedure. I left feeling unheard and unsatisfied with the care I received. My wife also had a similar experience. During her appointment with Dr. Leila Jamshidi, she felt that the dental hygienist was more thorough and attentive than the dentist, which reinforced our shared impression that the quality and consistency of care have declined. What made these experiences especially disappointing is that I had previously been treated by Dr. Mathai, who was always thorough, attentive, and took the time to explain everything. The difference in care and communication was very noticeable. We've been patients at this practice for years, and its convenient location is one of the reasons we've continued to come back. That's what makes this so disappointing. It's genuinely sad that, after so many years, we've reached the point where we feel we need to find another dentist. I've also noticed what seems to be a high turnover of providers, which has made the patient experience feel less consistent. While the office has added nice touches like a beverage center, amenities like that don't make up for a decline in the quality of care and service. The one bright spot throughout my visits has been Mackenzie. She has always been warm, welcoming, and kind when checking patients in and scheduling appointments. She consistently made me feel comfortable and valued, and I truly appreciated her professionalism. After two experiences that left me questioning the quality of care--and seeing my wife have a similar experience--I've decided it's time to find another dentist. I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit it's intended: as constructive feedback that helps improve communication, consistency, and the overall patient experience.
