I had been a patron of Glendale Aesthetic Dentistry for over until I had a dissatisfied buying experience. I was excited about getting whitening trays to brighten my smile. Carrie, the assistant who had just a few weeks earlier helped create a night guard with no issues was now having trouble getting the molds right. She had a new guy learning the process so I was patient even after the sixth try. (If you've ever had dental molds made you know how uncomfortable and slightly suffocating it can be.) Carrie said that it was my "high arch" in my mouth causing the problem- I had never been told this in my life. She was not very empathetic towards me or the new guy and I was starting to see her character shine through. Carrie said she would just wing it to make the trays since the molds weren't working. When I got the call to have them fitted, the trays were sagging off of my top teeth. To make it even worse, Dr. Yu sided with Carrie and justified the poor design as satisfactory. I purchased them and felt defeated because 'how would I know what good trays should look like?' When I got home I reached out to a retired dentist for their opinion and sent photos of the how they fit. They said "whoever made those are incompetent". So, I went back to the office and asked for my money back and the office manager didn't question me once she saw the product. Instead of taking responsibility for the user/product error they blamed it on me and tried to sell me a poorly made product. They easily could have made it right but chose to protect their egos. read more

Dr Henry Yu is very impatient and disrespectful with patients. he got angry at my mother after she wanted to make sure of her insurance is covering her procedure and he began to get impatient and asked "so do you want to do it or not?" and threw the paper on the table and walked out the room. you really got me messed up read more

I've been going to Dr. Yu for only a short period of time. Needless to say, I'm quite content with the choice I've made for my dental needs. Dr. Yu's office is quaint and the staff is personable. Regardless of who's taking care of you there I can attest that you'll be fine. The staff does a wonderful job remembering your name, but also have answers to your financial and insurance needs. Dr. Yu himself is a knowledgeable dentist with the ability to break it down in terms of what you need and what to expect. He's very thorough and up front so there's no second opinion needed. As for the works I need; I'm genetically unfortunate since I can develop cavities regardless of how much I brush or floss! Dr. Yu is also gentle with his hands. Seriously, I hate needles, but I swore I didn't know he was even administering Novocain when he did. In the end, I was in and out of the chair in less than 10 minutes and bam; my filling was complete! I totally recommend Dr. Yu to your dental needs and as now I can joke; Yu can do it! - Enjoy! read more

I know that nobody likes going to the dentist, but Karen, Adrian, Dr. Yu, and all the others have such great personalities that it's almost fun to go to the dentist! They have always been kind, worked with me on paying for work done, and even replaced my night guard for free after my other one broke after about 8 months. Best of all, they are more than welcoming to my Guide Dog, which, believe it or not it kind of rare. I hope I can find a place as great in Florida! read more

This is what happened to my Dad at yus office. Stay away from this place they dont do quality work. I am filing an complaint with the az dental board. This dentist yu does NOT back up his work. I have a crown (paid $824.00) that yu did and it does NOT fit my tooth. I was in office on 11/06/2019 with my crown hurting. All yu did was to grind the top of my crown with a drill but did NOTHING to make my crown fit right. Now I will have to get another dentist to straighten out yus mess. I am sick and laid up in bed most of the time. The yu office knows from the get go that I have disabilities and they dont care. Everyone has a friend or loved one that is disabled and they do not want to see the disabled treated badly and the way he treated me as an disabled man was very rude and uncalled for. yu has bad customer skils. I am NOT happy. I want my $824.00 back so I can go to another dentist to make this tooth right. read more

Went in for my six month exam and discovered that I had one cavity. They looked at their schedule and found out that I could fill it that day. It saved me lots of time. Yu is a bad dentist. He does NOT care about his patients health and I found out that he had complaints with the dental board. His assistant does work for yu that she is NOT licensed to do. That also includes working on crowns. If I could give yu a 0 star I would do so. read more

I am very happy to have found this dentist. Dr. Yu is direct and honest about treatment plans. He does not pressure you into doing anything. He allows you to decide when or if you are ready. I've had to have several extractions, by my own decision. He's the best dentist that I've ever been to for pulling teeth. He was very quick and it was pulled before I knew, without any pain. There was nothing more done than what I specifically requested. There was no additional fees when checking out. I truly appreciate that, living on a budget. read more

I LOVE Dr. Yu and his staff, especially Erica!! I hadn't gone to the dentist in YEARS due to dental fears. When I walked into Dr. Yu's office, I was immediately at ease. The front office staff (Karen) is wonderful. My teeth were cleaned by Erica and she took her time and was very thorough! Dr. Yu was gentle and kind and funny!! I love to talk politics when I get to see him - we have a blast just commenting and laughing! I love going to Glendale Aesthetic Dentistry and I highly recommend Dr. Yu and his staff. Everyone is very friendly and professional. I like going into the office and I'm not just a number. When I walk in they greet me by name. Yes, I know everyone has an appointment and it might be easy to read a name off the sign in sheet but they also recall things that we have talked about in the past visits. Great dentist, assistants, hygienists, and front office staff. I have finally found a dentist office that I really like. The doc doesn't pressure you to do unnecessary procedures like most corporate/franchise type offices. He is honest about the treatment actually needed. For several years I was going to a new dentist every time I was due for a cleaning. Only to feel like a dollar sign instead of a patient. The entire staff is always pleasant and friendly. Just had an appointment today with Dr. Yu. I needed 4 fillings and I was having some issues with my front teeth. I thought the enamel was thinning and had deveoped brown lines in my normally beautiful white smile. I thought that I may need crowns to replace my front teeth. Dr. Yu reassurrd me that he could remove the brown discoloration and repair with a natural looking composite. I was thrilled that he could do all 4 fillings and repair my front teeth in under an hour. He and his staff are great and very personable and knowledgeable. I am greatful to have found such an honest and talented dentist. You will love him and his great hygienist and all the people in his office who go out of their way to be helpful and friendly.
