We were referred here by Dr G's practice due to our insurance. We've now had 3 visits with 4 daughters from school age to adult, and I can say that I'm very pleased we came here. The staff are helpful, professional, courteous, and open to hearing about issues and previous experiences. The dentist is understanding, friendly, and has a great sense of humour. I have had three visits to this office. The first visit everyone was very nice. The second and the third visit were disasters. Not only were they incredibly disrespectful during my last visit. They actually broke one of my other teeth and now will not respond to my communication. I will be filing a complaint with the dental board today and contacting an attorney. Just save your money/time and don't bother using this business. If I had the option to give 0 stars- I WOULD. I had an appointment booked a week in advance for a root canal and extraction, plus a cleaning. I was advised to arrive 30 min prior because they close at 4 and my procedures will take some time. Upon arrival, the lady had me fill out paperwork that I already filled out during my first visit. When asked where the previous paperwork was, her response was "we probably didn't keep it." That should've been the first red flag to leave. Secondly, 2 customers who arrived after me we're seen first before I was even called. I had waited exactly an hour after my appointment time and no one called my name. No one bothered to update me as to why I haven't been called or why two people who showed up after me was seen before I was. After an hour and a half of waiting, I was finally called. But it didn't stop there. I had to wait another hour before someone came to the room to operate on me. WHY MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IF THEY DON'T FOLLOW IT? After all my operations were done, all they gave me was a piece of paper and gauze. That was all!!! I had a wisdom tooth extracted and the least they could've given me was ANTIBIOTICS for the pain. NOTHING. They gave me nothing. Meanwhile, they were chatting and giggling in the front desk with no remorse!!!! What a great customer service they showed . If it wasn't for military orders to come here, I WOULDVE CHOSEN SOMEWHERE ELSE. Save your money, they obviously don't care about the customers. read more

If I could give a 0 I would. Desert palm tries to charge me over 2 grand for dental work for both my daughter and I. They said I had all these cavities and also needed a root canal and my daughter had multiple cavities. Something didn't feel right and I got both her and I 2nd opinions. I have 1 filling that needs replaced that they said I needed the root canal for. And my daughter had 1 minor cavity. Our grand total for the work that actually needs to be done for both of us is under 700-which includes a mouth guard I need. Desert palm is a scam and I would get a 2nd option before trusting what they say needs done. read more

Both times the staff has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I was impressed with their attention to detail. Dr Shahin has the ability to make your crown on-site the day of your appointment. I recently moved to Arizona from California (unfortunately) but you wouldn't be able to tell since I'm smiling ALL the time, and its thanks to Dr Shahin! He is super welcoming and knows what hes talking about- I went to two other dentists in the area and the both said they wouldn't touch my chipped tooth (which im super insecure about) but Dr. Shahin not only took it on but it turned out wonderfully! The one word that comes to mind at this place is the epitome of dentist offices. I have been to many other dentists and they are insufficient as well as depressing in customer service. I was very astonished at how comfortable the staff made me feel. As someone who has been terrified of going to the dentist, I was blown away by the aroma of the office. Everything from talking to the front desk staff to make an appointment, coming into the office and then the appointment itself are all incredible. Who says that about their dentist?! Dr. Dabestani is not only a great dentist, but a great human, too. He genuinely cares about your dental health, explains his dental plan in it's entirety to the patient, and is really just a kind person. The office staff is so friendly each time I've been there; they truly are amazing as well. They were a huge help in figuring out the financial in terms of paying for my care. Also, I've never waited more than five minutes to be called back. I have been kind of a hot mess patient, but Dr. Dabestani is so patient, thorough in answering all of my questions, and aims at keeping my nerves at bay. As a broke college student, I still choose to commute the 30 minutes to the office just for Dr. Dabestani and his staff (even though he is a UA grad--#ASU).
