Walking onto campus, I was immediately greeted with a smile and positive attitude from Ms. Ruth. Despite how many students attend the school, she made an effort to get to know us and remember our names. Ms. Ruth was recently promoted to Administrative Assistant for the ADN Program, and it is so well deserved! It was truly a full-circle moment when she was the one who emailed my letter of acceptance for the second portion of the program. Since I don't see Ms. Ruth at the front desk anymore, I usually stop by the Admin Office just to say hi and ask how she and her family are doing. Nursing school can be stressful and challenging, but Ms. Ruth has made me feel heard and supported since the very beginning. Thank you as well to Professor Marion German, Professor Leah Baltazar, and Dr. Dela Cruz for taking the time to meet with my cohort regularly to listen to our concerns and provide support since we started the program. Having such a supportive administrative team while beginning the ADN program has been invaluable to my learning experience at MFSON.

My daughter was part of the COVID class so she transferred in her junior year and had classes mainly on campus(which she loved). She commuted to/from school/home. She had early enough classes that she did not really have to fight for parking. My son is currently a sophomore there and has been living on campus. He was lucky to find Wonder roommates and friends and lived in locations on campus within walking distance of everything. So far it is hard work but he is enjoiyhis time at State. There are so many great clubs, organizations, and opportunities around campus. The trolly system is pretty good as well and a great means of transportation around San Diego if they do not have a car. My daughter graduated in 2024 and really enjoyed her time there. Very lucky to have them both near by for school. Great campus!!! Oh if near by you have to check out the turtle pond, it is so amazingly peaceful and tranquil.

Great place that offers professional development certificate programs at a good price! You have the…read moreoption to take any type of program you want ranging from accounting, contract/project management, human resource management, or even craft beer. There are also several healthcare programs like EKG Tech and Pharmacy Tech. Keep in mind that these courses only prep you for required exams or are refreshers of you are already in the industry. When you finish all the required courses in a program, you are awarded with a certificate of completion. In my opinion it's worth getting a certificate from a known school like SDSU. I just finished my accounting certificate; I'm so glad that I was able to take their accounting program online as I work full-time during the day. Now I have something to put on my resume and move up the pay ladder. :) Most of the programs are non-credit and are non-transferable to 4 year degrees. They have an Open University Program where you crash credit courses in the first day. Those courses are much more expensive but still cheaper than going to school as a full time or half time student. Never tried the program, though, but it's a good option for anyone who wants to knock some units off and or transfer to a 4 year/2 year university. I will say that all the courses aren't cheap and you have to pay out of pocket for the most part. They're still cheaper than some other places that's for sure. Overall I recommend checking them out.

West Commons has been at SDSU for the longest time, and it hasn't changed in the past 4 years while i've been a student here. There's a resource center for students, Olive Oil (a sandwich/panini spot), and a U.S bank. There's also a second floor which consists of classrooms for students and restrooms. This place has a interesting smell to it, I just feel that it definitely needs renovation some point, it's old, smells funky, and the tables are very sticky. I use this area to cross over to the other side of campus.

This place has a Juice It Up, Taco Bell, Olive Oil Cafe (vegetarian food), Aztec Market, and a Starbucks. Despite the high prices the Olive Oil Cafe has some great sandwiches! I got the eggplant sandwich and it was delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I just wish it was cheaper since it was $8 for just a sandwich. The Aztec Market is considerably smaller than the East Commons location and obviously doesn't offer a wide variety of drinks and food but if you're going there with the intentions of buying a sandwich and a drink, you'll find what you need. Its also great that there is almost no wait time at this location. The Starbucks here is actually decent, I have no complaints. I've ordered iced coffees and shaken iced teas from this location and they always come out good. The service is also nice and quick. There is not a lot of seating inside due to the size of the place but you will most likely find somewhere to sit down outside. Overall, this is a tiny bit better than East Commons. The prices are still a bit high but the Olive Oil Cafe is honestly serves the best tasting food on campus.

This program has not only good reputation, but also amazing instructors. All the instructors were so great. They have so much experience teaching in this field and was able to share many teaching skills and theories. One of my favorite parts was that I had a chance to teach in an actual class. I had to observe a class, learn how to teach from a mentor, and also got to know students and help them to learn English. It was a fabulous experience and it helped me a lot to find a job in Korea, where I used all the stuff I have learned in my classes. I still get update emails about job openings from all over the world from ALI and SDSU. How nice !! Wish I can write everything I have done. I can just say it's the most amazing program ever.

I love San Diego weather and life because it was very relaxed. American Language Institute is in San Diego State University campus. So it's a good chance to improve your English because you can meet a lot of university students and native speakers. Also, ALI gave their students a lot of benefits, like city tours, baseball games, zoos, etc. You can really enjoy your time in San Diego. Also, we can use the gym on campus. Sign up and it's free for ALI students. I like this language school because i met a lot of international students, very nice and friendly teachers. I'm so happy I can be a part of ALI, but in the other hand, I think the class was a little bit early, everyday started at 8:00 am. So sometimes it's difficult to wake up. If it's possible to change at 9:00 am it's better for students. And the class finish at 1:00 pm, so we can have a lot of time to hang out with friends and enjoy beautiful beaches in San Diego. I would definitely recommend this language school to everyone who wants to study abroad and improve their English. Also, ALI has a lot of different programs you can choose, not only learn how to speak English, but also can get some special certificate about business.
