This is a place I can always count on for Sunday breakfast because there's literally no wait time. As soon as you walk in you're seated which is great. The servers are all pretty nice, they provide you with water and the menu quickly. The Menu is extensive which is great, they have a variety of foods. Some of the things on the menu are a bit expensive for what they are though which is my only complaint. The food literally comes to your table 15 mins after you ordered so they don't leave you starvingly waiting lol

We took our friend visiting from France here so he could get a real American diner experience and we all loved it. Our server Fran was awesome she was so sweet and helpful and the food was yummy. Will be coming back!

As usual if you read my reviews .. I was working in the area and have passed this old world diner many times... stopped in for breakfast and was served by a lovely woman named Linda... talk about attentive service ... she is a Gem... ordered the breakfast special it's a deal at 5.95 ... the food was great ... the coffee was good ... a step back in time...

I'm usually more of a smash burger kind of guy, but the steakhouse style burger was quite flavorful. My only complaint about the burger is that it had no sauce or condiments at all on it. The bacon mac and cheese was also quite nice. The bad: It was pretty overheated in the restaurant, and really humid. The only thing in the restaurant to help with the heat was one big fan at the back. Unfortunately, it was blowing directly on one table of guests back there, and not really doing much for the rest of the people in the restaurant.

Came here around 3 pm and it was empty. They greeted my family and I and seated us right away…read more Brought us water and a delicious hot coffee right away. TONS of options on the menu. It was our first time in New York and after eating at "popular" expensive restaurants we were over it. Something was missing the entire trip. This restaurant had what we were missing. It was cozy and quiet and inviting. We stopped at Gunther's before deciding to come here because this restaurant only had 2 reviews but Gunther's had way more. We walked into Gunther's and were ignored for a solid 5 minutes before we just walked out. Gunther's had a lame menu and zero customer service. We just walked out and came here to Seneca Coffee Restaurant. BEST DECISION EVER. I ordered the Lumberjack Pancakes that came with 3 pancakes, and I ordered sausage with scrambled eggs on the side. Portions were huge and super delicious. Pancakes were big and soft. Sausage was one of the best sausages I've had (I'm particular about my sausages because you can taste the difference between bad quality meats) and the eggs were perfect. My mom ordered a California omelette and it came with a hefty side of potato (salted to perfection) and for half slices of toast. My sister ordered the lumberjack French toast and it was 4 thick half slices of French toast with plenty of egg and 4 long slices of bacon that was crispy and delicious. My mom also ordered a champurrado that was pretty good. I also have to mention that we asked for some pico de gallo and the sweet woman up front made it fresh and brought it immediately. She even asked if it was ok but it was delicious with the perfect amount of spice. All of the food was divine. We left thanking them for a quality brunch and full stomachs. The owners seem like they have a priority to serve their customers properly. Most of our time spent in New York we were rushed and ignored because they are dealing with so many customers and I understand. However, when we came here to Seneca Coffee Restaurant, we realized what was really missing from the New York experience and that was real attention. If you're in the area and you want a quality dining experience where you are not ignored or rushed or feel like you're paying a lot and only getting a little, then you need to come here. We are so happy that we walked out of Gunther's to come here. This place is 11/10 just come here trust me

It tasted as good as it looked! For starters, we ordered the choila roti and the Buffalo momos. Both were incredible - the flavors and presentation were amazing. The sauce over the momos was so flavorful and colorful, and the jerk chicken in the roti was perfectly seasoned. And to think that we would have missed out if our server didn't suggest it... These particular naans are made different from the traditional Iones. They are coated with buttery goodness and are super thin. The hummus on the side was also a very good pairing. I would recommend this app. PORK JHOL MOMO 5/5 These pork momos were also super delicious! Comparing it to the ones I've had at another restaurant, there is no overpowering cilantro in this one! The momo itself was very juicy. The flavor of the inside and the soup was delicious. Another must-get! CHICKEN KHAJA PLATTER 4/5 My friend and I were probably the least impressed with this one. A lot of the dish includes a lot of dry ingredients like popped rice & soybean seeds. They also used cold meats and veggies. It was great to try each portion of the platter, but wasn't our personal favorites of our visit here. Overall, we had a delicious lunch. We throughly enjoyed our experience here and would definitely recommend this local spot. I did think it was worth the trip over.
