Consistency is golden. They still are one of the nicest, cleanest, and best in Glendale. Glendale Meat and Fish market has a delicious Armenian marinated meat, a wide variety of other high quality meats, and a selection of fish. They are my regular go to for my Armenian kabob but recently I tried their dry aged meat and it was exquisite. Hubby made it in a cast iron and it turned out ‍ (chef's kiss) delicious! I recently changed my dog's diet & he now requires lamb liver/heart. After calling 5-10 meat stores and having no luck in finding these specific organs, I was happy to find this place! They always have what I need in stock! I did a search for fish markets in the area after Costco ran out of what I was looking for, HK MARKET apparently closed down and King Fish had huge lines and honestly prices higher than what I was willing to pay and this place came up. So I drove all the way over here, squeezed into a parking spot, started walking to the business and noticed a big B health grade. Ugh are you serous?! I started walking back to my car and then turned around and thought, maybe it is not that bad. I couldn't find the door right off the bat, so that was odd. But once I got in, I looked around and although the fish was on ice... I just didn't get the vibe like I should chance it. So I walked out, went back to Costco and got a different piece of fish for Easter. I'm sorry, but a B is nothing to mess around with when it comes to fish in my book. read more

Passed by this place, thought I would try it and will never buy Gish in a market again. The fish was fresh, and tried the clam chowder. It was the best!!! Flavorful, and not super thick or starchy. Excellent balance of potatoes, seasoning and of course, clams. Highly recommend!!!! read more

I've been to Glendale Meat Market plenty of times. I do love their selections of meats, deli and cheese but their service and the general lay out of the store is what gets this place 4 stars from me. I've never been approached and asked if I needed any help and i've been coming here for years. Probably figure I already know what I want, need and where I can find it. But still, not like I own the place and know where every single item is, or what it's used for. I'd like to ask questions about a particular spice, or if they carry a specific item i'm looking for. And the market is so cramped. It's a small store, which makes it super homely, but i'd like a few more spaces between me and the other patrons. Major violation of personal space going on here. I digress, i'm gonna keep coming back here because they have the things I want. Like the various kinds of cheese plates they have in the dairy section. Solid meat and cheese selections! This place is a very typical Armenian deli (no surprise, it's Glendale!). Growing up in and around these types of shops, I felt right at home. The owners are super friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to help you find what you need. Their stock of basic pantry items, fruit juices, and dry goods is excellent. What most surprised me was their huge selection of imported alcohol. Some of my favorites I haven't been able to find elsewhere (Kinsmaurali, Ararat, Russian Vodka, Armenian Brandy) at great prices. Which is not typical in Glendale. They were patient and had a smile on their face. The owner's name is Razmik and this guy knows his meat! I was impressed and actually learned a few things myself. The quality of their meat is better than most, I researched this! The taste is a bit different (we're not use to healthy stuff) so talk to him about what kind of meat you want, he'll take the time to talk to you. We got there around 7:50 right before the store was about to close, nice man served us our order.. Was very nice, helpful, took his time to answer our questions and recommended us what to get. He gave us our order and on top of that gave us free pickled veggies!! Everything we purchased was fresh and tasty!! The marination was great!!! I give this meat market a 5 star because of how much this place has improved it's quality. As I mentioned before, I am a picky eater. This place brings the best out of Armenian BBQ. The taste of the marinated BBQ chicken breast makes me want to lick my fingers after. Also, I had bought 1 white trout to taste it and I was not surprised that I wanted more (so I came and bought 3 more for the family). I feel like the prices also fit the quality. I came to this location a few days ago to purchase a few cuts of meat for a dinner party. They had a great selection to choose from, all fresh and clean cuts. The owner and employees were great, I could tell they knew what they were doing. I ended up buying more than I intended too, just to try their products.I love it all!
