Good home cooking. They give generous portions and the staff and owner are always friendly. It's a small restaurant but good food.

So amazing! Absolutely recommend them for all your catering needs! They made my daughter's wedding…read moreso special. The bride and groom wanted a simple lunch of fancy sandwiches, with sides of fruit and veggies, after charcuterie for the cocktail hour. Despite the simplicity, Cherished Events made the food beautiful and everything was well thought out. Cherish also worked with us to accommodate all the various food allergies of our guests which was so important to us! We had a separate table for gluten free options, and everything was made without artificial dye or nuts. Cherish even watched to be sure the bride and groom got enough to eat (something that often gets overlooked). Cherish and her helpers were so professional and kind throughout the entire day, we really appreciated that as well. I was also very grateful for her help with other things! She helped me know what plates would be best, how many drinks to have on hand, and was helpful with any other questions about wedding planning in general that I had since we didn't hire a professional planner. And even though she wasn't contracted for drinks she brought drink despensers for the tea and lemonade I bought separately and kept them filled! So, so impressed! 100% recommend!!

We are so thankful to have found her through our wedding venue: The Black Oak in Sulphur Springs, Tx and would recommend her a million times over to any bride! The day of our wedding she had the best team helping her execute on getting everyone served!

The first was to prepare several hundred "authentic Southern mini-pecan pies" for a national convention held here and for our family Thanksgiving meal. Let me say, they go above and beyond in meeting my expectations and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tasty food. I don't even like pecan pie but I am a convert now! Give them a call and see what they can do for your special occasions!

They presented well and appeared to be a small black owned business (I have no insight into their ownership structure so this I can't confirm) so I eagerly wanted to support them. Things took a drastic turn in February of 2020, one month before my scheduled wedding on March 21st, 2020, when many of their contractual commitments floundered. Firstly, my wedding venue went bankrupt so I called LaTricia on February 13th, 2020 (I had notified her 3 days in advance as soon as I found out) to discuss cancellation since contractually the venue she agreed to serve at was no longer in existence. She notified me on February 13th, 2020, that she had already bought beef so she would be retaining $2,300+. My first thought was why are you buying beef weeks in advance of a wedding since meat doesn't last that long? Secondly, I was clear at the onset that I wanted real China/silverware and they contractually agreed to provide that to us. However, on February 10th, 2020, LaTricia called me to state that she was able to find plates but was having challenges finding real silverware so she wanted to know if she could skip providing it. Why is that a question one month before my wedding when you contractually committed to provide it and I paid for it? The most alarming part of this was her lack of business strategy and customer service skills. We had contracted her to do our rehearsal dinner on March 20th, 2020, (an $1,800 affair) and we had found a new venue that accommodated her (in spite of my two failed attempts that week to get her to furnish evidence of insurance) and we agreed to pay a $300 fee to a new venue yet she stated she didn't care because she was holding on $2,300+ from my wedding. Moreover, she stated that she needs 5 business days to issue a partial refund in the amount of $999 for our rehearsal dinner (what reputable business doesn't have $999?!). This woman (LaTricia seems to poorly lead the business strategy) and business have a lack of integrity and questionable practices as evidenced by my aforementioned examples. Be careful!

They've been around long before the current BBQ craze. I used to eat at their Dallas Location back in the 1990s but, haven't been in 25 years. After fighting major construction congestion and stop and go detours,I finally pulled into the pot holed, gravel parking lot in front of the red 1980ish red metal building that is Bakers Ribs . I was also in search of The Original Fried Pie Company which happened to share space . Entering I found what I expected. Well worn old school roadside Texas BBQ place, just getting by . As with almost everyone else, they've upgraded to a thin screen digital overhead menu. I hate those things because they have no soul...yada,yada,yada I ordered the chopped beef sandwich and waited about five minutes for the few in front of me to gradually get their order filled by the one person, chopping meat, frying fries and filling orders . The vibe is worn out ,we tried western kitch decor in 1980. That's ok but, this is a sad little place that's seen its better day. Regressing slightly. When I first entered a case of various fried pies was the first thing I came to. More on that later . Pouring myself a unsweetened ice tea,I sat down to hopefully enjoy my sandwich. It was better than I expected, and after doctoring it up with onions, jalapeno, pickles and sauce,it passed my test, barely. I wish them well but,I probably won't go back. The owners need to either recomit to increasing the quality of their food and service or? Now to the fried pies. Yumalicious! I bought 6 at $3 75 each. 2 Cherry,2 Apple,2 Peach. I put three in the freezer and left the others out for consumption. Wow. Warmed up under the broiler and served alongside BlueBell Vanilla, niezzzz! Overall my experience was a whiff of the past. That going, going, gone place on the side of the highway that's just good enough to keep you going ,to the next detour.
