Dr. LeClaire is very thorough with her exam and spends so much time with contact lens fitting. Every time I go in for an annual eye exam and contact lens fitting, she looks for what's best for me. She usually sends me home with trial lenses with a new prescription to try out for a couple of weeks. A couple of years ago, I tried out three different prescriptions until I found what works best for me. She had me back for quick follow-up appointments to make sure of proper fitting each time, and there was no charge for them. It really shows how much she cares about her patients. The staff in the office are very helpful and very pleasant. They always checks my insurance benefits, and there's never been a surprise. I like the frames, the prices for them listed out in the open, they sit down at the table WITH your insurance deductibles and explains exactly what each feature costs. They thoroughly explained each step of the exam, what each test would do, what you would experience (puff in the eyes, etc...) what they would learn from each test, and why that was important. Prices were really good, and not only do you not have to request a copy of your eye prescription , they hand you one on the way out the door, with access to your account online where you can down load it on command. Yeah this was a perfect experience. 11/10 would go again. Bonus, I get my glasses in two weeks or less.

They came back and the temple bars were mismatched from each other, and neither matched the bridge. Furthermore, within about 6 months one nose piece had broken off. The response of their staff was that I could purchase a replacement bridge for about $120, but that the temple bars were on me. Their staff agreed that the temple bars, right and left, were clearly different from one another (one is polished silver, while the other matte gun metal GRAY), and neither match the temple bar, which is blue. Even so, the claim of their staff was that they could not see how their lab (in St. Louis) could possibly have done this (despite the fact that each temple bar sells for over $100, while counterfeit Silhouette frames go for $20), basically leaving me as the only variable, the unavoidable inference being that I was somehow trying to scam them. We are done here. Never going back.

At the time of my sons first appointment with Dr. Charron he'd had approximately 9 dilated vision…read moreexams at two clinics by 5 different optometrists over the course of a year and a half. The first (local and trusted optometrist) told me there was no reason he couldn't see, he was making up the answers he was giving and that he must just want glasses. The second clinic was a vision therapy clinic where 4 of their optometrists did exams on my son at various points before, during and after participating in vision therapy. They continued to recommend vision therapy even though there was literally no improvement in my sons vision after 12 weeks of vision therapy and about 12 additional weeks of phototherapy. I took my son to Northwest Vision Development Center because I decided that if he was going to need ongoing therapy I would need to find someone closer to my home. Both myself and my sons pediatrician had trusted that the optometrists he had seen would let us know if they had concerns and since they had not indicated they believed there were any related medical conditions neither of us realized there might be something else going on. During the visit at NWVDC my son was evaluated for vision therapy and then seen for an eye exam by Dr. Charron. After the exam Dr. Charron told me that my son should be seeing better, that he wasn't going to recommend vision therapy because he didn't think it would help and that I needed to find out what was causing my sons vision issue. Fast forward 7 weeks to my sons appointment at Children's Ophthalmology. It turns out he has juvenile onset macular degeneration. Thankfully the length of time it took to get this diagnosis had no additional negative impact on my son, but I give Dr. Charron a huge amount of credit for 1) Not taking advantage of a parent who didn't know any better by recommending additional vision therapy, and 2) For setting me straight by letting me know there was more to this than I realized at the time. Had my son ended up being seen by NWVDC originally I would have saved myself close to $3000 and I would have saved both myself and my son a lot of time and frustration. I can't speak to the vision therapy done in this clinic since my son did not end up being treated; however, I would recommend this clinic to anybody because I saw how thorough they were in evaluating my child. After this experience I trust Dr. Charron 100% to do what is best for his patients. I would recommend Dr. Charron to anybody that asked for my input.

Fact is, the cost is now as much as it would be for new frame and lenses anywhere else - Had I known that, I wouldn't have agreed to the transaction. Add to that the whole 'insurance paid less than we thought' thing - I've bough many a pair of glasses under the same insurance I have no - Never had an outfit pull that one on my before. When I complained, the office manager paid lip service to waiving the $128, but literally when I got home, my wife said she'd paid the bill - When I emailed that fact to the store, twice, I received zero response or acknowledgment, and still have not a few weeks later. I felt that the technicians taking my eye measurements and pertinent information were competent and thorough, listening well as I described what I was experiencing or what I needed. Allison helped me specially on several occasions--she has to be incredibly busy, and yet I always felt her friendly attention, interest and helpfulness to be very focused on meeting my needs. My experience with Dr. Kullas was beyond... I cannot recommend Dr. Christopher Kullas more highly: I could not have found a better physician and surgeon for my cataracts. Anywhere! On the technical and operational side, rarely have I met a person so meticulous--a quality so necessary in this work when you are dealing with measurements in microns or something like that. I felt confident by the information he imparted that he truly was expert in this area. He was very forthcoming about potential complications in my situation, and he involved me in his decision to diverge from his original plan to potentially increase the likelihood of the most optimal outcome based on my needs and wants, explaining his rationale and giving me choice. His plan worked! On the personal side, I found him to be a very caring physician and one invested in good communications. I found him easy to talk to, comfortable, genuinely pleasant and highly personable. He takes his time, ensuring you get what you need from him as he considers reasonable options. He explains well and checks-in with you. I felt informed, plus I felt wholly attended to. He is responsive. I never felt pressed or rushed even when extra time was needed for checking my specifics or optimizing strategies for my case. It was made clear to me on several occasions--and not all involving me--that he is dedicated to best outcomes for patients. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I was advised to I call Northwest Eye Clinic. They were able to get me in on the same day! I was seen by Dr. Matteucci, an ophthalmologist. Dr. Matteucci and his assistant, Ashley, examined my eyes very thoroughly. The receptionist was courteous and professional. Their intake form was short and manageable. By the time I was done with the form, I was taken to the back by Ashley, and an examination started right away. There was little waiting time before Dr. Matteucci came in to further examine my eyes. The surgery and care from the doctor has been great. The let down for me has been with the…read morebusiness side. My surgery was October 2025 with an iol in my left eye. My my vision right away was not good so I had to retake the round of drops. The second round improved my vision but I needed to have the bottom tear duct plugged. Best vision that I could have hoped for. The doctor wanted me in for a 6 month follow up which I went to. But, now the bills start rolling in with explanations that we are outside the "global" time of 90 days. When I asked on the pricing up front the response was that it included any follow up treatment and care. I guess that they are as good as their word.
