I ended up having gum line issues/bleeding/ and color mismatch from my prior crowns and 3 years after the procedure I ended up back in Dr. Michaelson's office. Once I decided to move forward with my crown revision, he was very honest and straightforward with how I could best achieve the look I wanted, what my future with the crowns looked like, and timeline. They were also up front and transparent with pricing. Even though they are on the higher end price wise, the lab they used did an amazing job to match the color and it has now been over a year and my teeth have held up nicely. I was also very nervous for how long the temporaries needed to be on because of how bad temps have been in the past but these temporaries were not bad at all. For general dental visits: all of my cleanings were awesome/pain free and you could tell that they knew how to be careful with maintaining integrity of any dental work. Only experience that I feel like could be improved upon was X-Ray process. I have never been that uncomfortable from just getting dental images but they also got the most in depth photos I've ever had done so that could be why. Lastly, they always tried to accommodate my schedule and fit me in when they could. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Michaelson and his team. If I did not move I would still be going for my annual exams and any additional work.

He did such excellent work blending the filling with my tooth- you can't even tell there is a filling there. Plus he re-colored and blended the tooth next to it and fixed what a previous dentist messed up. Which I didn't think was possible! I can't say enough about the professional skills of this dentist and his staff. He truly cared about me and went above and beyond my expectations. This has improved my smile from the inside out. I recognize most of the staff but there are some new ones here. All of them are friendly though. They are gentle and ask if you feel any pain throughout the processes. They recommend different care and have treatment plans. They go over the plans well and they also take time to go over any questions. It never feels rushed even when they have a lot going on but I also don't ask tons of questions so not sure. lol bbbuuuttt they have been great here so I'll continue coming for myself and my family.

I had two (broken) wisdom teeth extracted last month and was able to have them successfully…read moreremoved. There were no complications and recovery was fairly quick for me (I also applied DMSO for faster healing.) I was shown what possible complications could potentially occur during surgery and what those options would be (just in case) before commitments were made. Everything went well and the contingencies were not needed. I did not have covering insurance, but the costs were not any more than my in-network insurance dentists had quoted. The latter may also be a reflection upon unscrupulous in-network dentists (name withheld) refusing to grant treatments without agreeing to unnecessary procedures, it is worth noting that I didn't have any unneeded options being pressed with this dentist, and I appreciate that honesty and professionalism. For the dentist and staff, thank you. There were no problems requiring follow-up!

I was told that the office did not take my insurance but they would file the claim on my behalf. I understood that I would be required to pay for the services upfront which I did. The amount changed from what I had been quoted but did not argue with this. After 6 weeks I had not received reimbursement from my insurance so I called and was told that the payment was made to the dentist. I then called Beachside Oral Surgery and was told that it takes a while for them to reconcile their payments. It is now December 22nd and I have not received any payment. My appointment was during the first week of September. I have called and left messages but no one from this office has returned my calls. They received payment by me and insurance which is crazy. My only recourse now is to file suit against the dentist. I do not recommend this practice.
