I was recommended to this doctor's office for my 6 year old! I have left 3 messages before the New Year and one was left as an emergency. NOT one call back! What kind of a doctor or office is this??? You should be ashamed, especially your dealing with children!! In the event you were busy because of the Pandemic, at least call back and leave a message, something!! Very unprofessional, I told my girlfriend that actually goes to the office. Especially you are a pediatrician dentist! Really??? You need a new STAFF FOR SURE! My 6 year old had to have 2 extractions. Had gone to 2 other dentists prior for xrays/cleanings but ultimately decided to go with dr glenn for the extractions. Happy I did. For an experience that would have otherwise been terrifying and long...dr glenn was gentle and fast. My daughter barely flinched. Good experience. Will be switching all my kids over. read more

Went to this office for 2 years. My son had a history of cavities, so I was not all that surprised when they said he had them. However, over time, his cavity count was extreme........unless he had sponges for teeth. Things were clearly off the last time he was seen (we were told he had 4 cavities by the dental hygienist). I was beside myself. We were brushing, rinsing, I honestly couldn't understand why. Quite by accident, we ended up seeing a different dentist, she was part time and lovely. In passing she said the the cavities were under existing fillings. Which were only 2 years old. 3 OF THE FOUR CAVITIES WERE UNDER EXISTING FILLINGS!! Went for a second opinion..........my son may now need a root canal at 10 years old. Stay away from this office. As far as I'm concerned, they are committing fraud. read more

My daughter loves Dr Marie, he is very kind and patient. Unfortunately it is now impossible to get an appointment with him even when requesting him. My daughter is now having some emergency dental problems and his office staff refuses to allow me to see him and says they don't know when he will be back in the office. It's a shame! He is the only one my 6 year old wants to see because she is comfortable with him. read more

For anyone reading this, DO NOT EVER GO TO DR(?)GLENN MARIE!!!!!!!!!! For starters, he is hardly ever in his office. He filled 3 cavities in my sons teeth 3 months ago and we just went for a cleaning and x-rays and the hygienist said he had three cavities to the same teeth he just had filled. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!! His staff agreed with me on this issue. Once we were supposed to see Dr. Marie and when we got to his office on time we were told that he left for the day. Jokingly, I said he probably went to the Mets playoff game and his receptionist nodded her head Yes!!!! So, he skipped out on appointments to party at Citifield!!!!! Someone needs to look into why his practice still exists and it needs to be shut down!!!!!! If I could give him zero stars, I would!!!!!!! read more

Dr. Glen Marie examined the teeth of my two children when they were about 6 and 9 years old. Dr. Marie said they had eight or so cavities between them. He wanted to drill and fill them with mercury. I was not happy with this diagnosis because I was always prodding my kids to brush after every meal. So, I got a second opinion from a more experienced dentist-- Dr. Friedman. Dr. Friedmans observation was eye-opening. He told me that neither of my kids have any cavities. NO CAVITIES !!!! He also said that he was happy to see two children in the same family with NO CAVITIES. Dr. Glen Marie was willing to drill my children's teeth unnecessarily. Now, 18 years later, my son still has no cavities and my daughter has developed two subsequent cavities on surfaces other than the surfaces specified by Dr. Marie. This seems to me to be fraud on the part of Dr. Glen Marie. read more

It's no surprise Dr. Marie was sued 2 years ago--twice! One for sexual misconduct with a female coworker & another time for leaving a part of a needle in a teen patient's mouth. Horrific! He needs to lose his license. My child has been a patient there for a few years & I'm really at my wit's end. They NEVER answer the phone so it's extremely difficult to schedule appointments. The process is to leave a message & wait for them to eventually call you back. Once you finally get an appointment, be prepared to wait between 1-2 hours to be seen for a lousy 5 minute cleaning. My child has only seen the actual dentist, Dr. Marie, once. Usually he's out & there are dental hygienists doing everything. When she saw him, she needed a tooth pulled & he pulled the WRONG one! She was so scared to get it pulled to begin with & instead of comforting a 6 year old, he said, "I have things to do. The game is on." I was so disgusted by that. And in a rush to see the game, he pulled the wrong one. Then to think she had to go through that again since he pulled the wrong tooth. Thank God they were both baby teeth & eventually grew back. Now my daughter needs braces, but Dr. Rubicek, the orthodontist at Dr. Marie's office, sent all the information to the wrong insurance company. I called the office too many times to count & received call-backs about 4 times. They keep telling me the orthodontist will call me back, but I just keep getting a secretary on the phone each time. I just left a message for the orthodontist, asking that the info be sent to a specific insurer. I even provided the fax number, but it's been a month & yet to be done. Unbelievable. At the time of our next appointment, I'm just going to show up casually & ask for my daughter's medical records. She will no longer be a patient here & I'm sorry for ever letting her go here in the first place. read more

I have taken my daughter to this Dentist since she was a baby. I was never wowed by the service, but he is under my plan, so we continued to go. My most recent visit though, the tech literally counted her teeth and brushed them. It took maybe 35 seconds and she was done. There was no cleaning, scraping of plaque, checking for problems. I am officially done with this Dentist. PS-If they recommend their Orthodontist to you, check to see if she is on your plan. I was told that she is, but after paying out of pocket for phase 1 (retainer and palate expander that I am not sure she even needed), I found out she is not. read more

I have been here for 3 cleanings for my daughter over the span of 18 months. The first 2 were fine. The last cleaning was a counting of teeth and then Fluoride polish that I wasn't even asked if I was okay with putting that on my daughters teeth. I said thats it? Literally from start to finish was a minute and half. It was not like this last 2 times a thorough cleaning. She seemed like she couldn't be bothered. I'm in the middle of switching dentists. I also don't like the unfriendly, rude staff who look you up and down with dirty looks and have unprofessional conversations for all to listen to. My five year old had some cavities that needed filled. I was hesitant to go to a dentist who was involved in a public sex scandal, but Glenn Marie is one of only two pediatric dentists (the other is in Poughkeepsie, NY) on the DC-37 dental plan, which covers a huge number of city workers. As expected, the extremely tiny waiting room was PACKED. To make matters worse, they stuffed a gigantic playhouse and ride-along toys into this_very_tiny waiting room, which made being there even more unbearable than it had to be. When I went to check in, I was told that my son was not listed as having an appointment. After explaining my son's problem, the gaggle of ditzy staff members offered to squeeze me in, which I agreed to. I expected that the appointment mixup would have me waiting a long time, but I saw that even the people with appointments were waiting for 2 hours. This place was obviously WAY overbooked. In addition, I noticed another person- a harried mother of 2- being told that they had no record of her appointment. She tried waiting for a while but had to leave because her daughter needed medication. The staff here is utterly incompetent. I explained the reason we were there at least 15 times to at least 6 different people. When they finally called us in, we were moved from one room to another where finally the hygienist came in and asked my son if he was ready for his cleaning. Incredulous, I told her that we were there because he had cavities. She replied that the dentist who was able to handle that wasn't in that day. We walked out. So, I cannot comment on the skill or demeanor of the dentists here but the staff deserves an F for ruining our day with their stupidity. It was miserable even being at this place. If you're a busy parent this dentist is not for you. EVERY TIME I had an appt with Dr Glenn Marie I got a call saying I had to reschedule- no joke- every time. Then you wait for over an hour because they "accidentally" mix up the order in which he sees his patients. When we finally got in to see him, I told him that I was annoyed about the mix up. All I wanted was for him to say something..."I'm sorry, Thanks for waiting" But he didn't say anything which really annoyed me. Ellen at the desk is great, so is Dr Ruby the orthodontist, but Dr Glenn Marie, I don't have the time for this guy! read more

I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Glenn for years. He is literally the only Dr. who can give my 7 year old a needle and make her laugh at the same exact time. He goes out of his way to make the little ones feel comfortable and he is gentle. The last time my daughter had an extraction she ended up coming down with the flu the next day, at first I had called the office, Dr Glenn called me back on his personal cell phone, and then twice throughout the weekend to check on her. He goes above and beyond. I highly recommend him! read more
