We had a great experience with Glenn's when we recently moved our existing pool table from one home to the other. They did a fantastic and efficient job taking the table apart transporting it and putting it back together from one basement to another without any damages. The table looks wonderful. They were very professional and polite. I found that the cost was reasonable compared to some other companies I spoke to who kept trying to upsell me all of these repairs or add-ons that we did not need (such as new felt, or added cost to level). Glenn and his crew were great to work with. We moved and re-felted a nearly 30 year old Brunswick table from my mother in law's home in Leland, IL to our home in Oswego. They helped us determine the best spot for the table, and even aided in picking a color for the new felt that would work best in our room. They were quick, courteous, and paid very strong attention to detail while both disassembling and putting the table back together...it's perfectly level and the balls roll true every time in it's new spot. Well, Im glad I certainly didn't have him move my pool table, His re felting is HORRIBLE! (see pics in my profile) Stay away from this guy. I paid him $300 plus a $30 tip for a crappy job that I didn't notice until he left. When Glenn and his helper arrived to my home, I greeted them and started small talk. He told me he was hung-over badly from the night before (he was with his friends selecting Baseball tickets and wound up drunk in the bathroom on the floor) and that he passed out. I really don't know why he would tell a customer this, but I should have stopped him right there dead in his tracks!! Save yourself the horrendous experience. Or, maybe if you can get him on a day he's not hung-over, its worth a shot... read more

Glenn is THE place to go if you are moving or sprucing up your pool table. My husband and I were offered a pool table from a friend as long as we moved it. After a little investigation, we realized it was more complicated than getting a couple guys together and renting a van. So I called a few places but Glenn quoted us competitively and seemed to know the most about pool tables. On my first phone call with him he asked me if I had seen the pool table before. I guess he gets a lot of calls from people getting them off of Craigslist. He genuinely wanted to make sure I didn't waste my money on his moving services until I was 100% sure this pool table was in a condition I was willing to take. I thought this was nice since he wasn't trying to just make a buck. He and his employee showed up on time to move the table. We also were going to have it re-felted. When he inspected the table he also showed me that the bumpers needed to be replaced. I'm glad they did this because otherwise I would have had the felt done twice. They got it taken apart, moved, and assembled efficiently. It looks great and with the new bumpers and felt, it looks like a brand new table. They took the time to do it right and make sure everything was level and done correctly. The responsiveness and flexibility was outstanding during scheduling. Overall, they really have quality service. We've had the pool table set up and all spruced up for a few months now and it is great to have! I would highly suggest Glenn and we will contact him in the future! read more

I have to say, if you have a pool table that needs to be fixed you HAVE to see Glenn!! We thought our pool table was beyond repair and we were about to get rid of it so we called Glenn to take a look at it. Well come to find out, our pool table was an old antique AND was able to be salvaged! Glenn is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to pool tables and now it looks BRAND NEW!! Before, we have not played on it in years and now it is the focal point of our family activities! I called an scheduled an appointment to move and refelt a table from Plainfield to Oswego. We picked the best day/time, and they showed up right when we discussed. They broke down the table, labeled everything, cleaned up after themselves, and moved it to my house. There, they assembled the table with my choice of felt, answered a TON of questions about the assembly process/maintenance, and cleaned up after themselves. It could not have been more painless. If you are really looking forward to going through the process of setting up an appointment, taking off work and waiting until that day gets here to get stood up, then this is the place for you. But then you contact them on the day of the install and the answer you get is "my bad".. Yes, yes it is your bad, so what are you going to do to try and fix the situation? I recently moved to the area and was looking for someone to help set up my pool table. I came across Glenn and reached out to him because of the positive reviews. The price he quoted me seemed great compared to others and he seemed very knowledgable about my table. He insisted he was too busy to do the work that week and told me the best he could do was 2 1/2 weeks later. Because of the price and his knowledge I decided to wait and have him come out on the agreed upon date to set up the table. He asked for me to text him photos and demensions of the table so that he had a better idea of what was needed to be done. Admittedly, I waited a couple days to do this but still text him 2 weeks before the appointment and sent him the information. He never responded to my texts the first week. I waited until 4 days before the appointment assuming he was just busy and decided to call again. I had to remind him who I was, practically the whole story again, and he claimed to remember speaking with me and setting up the work the coming Saturday. He asked that I again text him the info, I did right after we got off the phone and once again no response. The morning of the appointment I again text him asking what time he would be arriving. No response. Keep in mind this is the same number that I have been using to call him that he was asking me to text him on. After waiting a few hours still without hearing anything I called him and left a voicemail asking if he was still coming. Not to my surprise he never called or text or responded in any way. I waited over 2 1/2 weeks for him to come do the work because he seemed to be the best. However if a company doesn't even have the decency to respond to the form of communication they are requesting to use I think it goes to show how bad the company really is. I strongly would suggest using almost anyone other then Glenn's company. I can handle a company that is too busy to even make an appointment but when one is made and verified multiple times and they still no show and no call their customers they clearly don't care enough be considered a reliable company.
