Probably the worst car wash I've ever spent money on... Given that the line was pretty long, my guess is they were just rushing through cars. When I got home I went outside with a bottle of windex to remove some very obvious salt and dust marks on my doors and middle console - not sure how it was so blatantly over looked. I paid $20 for a super wash and there was nothing super about it. My all weather mats were still sopping wet and underneath the driver and passenger seat there was still little bits and pieces of dust and whatnot. Clearly no vacuuming had been done. The exterior looked nice but just as nice as a shell drive through car wash would look... For a fifth of the price. Complete disappointment. read more

The three stars are for the attendants, who were polite and courteous and did a great job with my car. The owner/cashier, however, was RUDE beyond belief and is the reason I will NOT return. She was obnoxious to her employees, yelled at someone on the phone while running the register, gave NO customer service to those she was helping, and walked around yelling "45 minutes!" As her way of telling people there would be a wait. She even said in front of me and other customers "they can leave. They can just leave if they won't wait." Message received! read more

The manager (or owner?) at the cashier is so rude this place is not worth it. I paid for a vacuum included job, when I get home I realized they didnt vacuum at all. I called and called and after 4 times they picked up the phone. She said "you should have reviewed the car before leaving" told me that for sure they did it but I didnt notice, really? Like I dont know what I am saying? She said come tomorrow, we are closed. I asked her for her name since tomorrow I will be there, she refused to tell me so I least I would know who I was talking to, and hung up the phone on me. Being long time Glenview resident, I can say this car wash exploits the fact that for many of us they are the default choice. But every time I go there, they remind me why I decided never come back a year ago: - sub par service - constantly have to double check their work and remind them to re-do some areas. - they could not find more depressing cashier, she make sure no one comes back. And then, my recent encounter with the cash lady. I had a gift card and used it couple times during the summer. Every time I asked the cashier lady for the remaining balance I never get the straight answer, always... Me: "... could YOU tell me WHAT is THE BALANCE on the card?" She: - "...I've already charged the today wash" - "...hm... the reader does not work" - "... I think you got a small balance left for the next time" - ".. Overall wash was great. There were a ton of bugs on my car because of the summer and the guy who hand washed my car worked really hard on getting them off. They were as fast as a hand car wash can get and the price was just right. $17 for the wash with wax and then $5 tip because the guy worked so hard on my car. This place used to be great but the past year they've gone downhill. I was just there a few days ago and after paying for the most expensive wash, I got into the car to find that they hadn't even touched the dashboard or the are around the cup holder. I went back to the guy and very very politely asked if he could touch up the inside and it's like I was asking him to do me a huge favor instead of - you know - his job. We've been bringing our cars here for several years. It was ok and convenient. Today they scratched my car and refused to take responsibility for it. Tried to blame it on a shopping cart. I took a good look at the car yesterday because I'd heard weird sound while driving with the sunroof open so I am certain the scratch was caused by them. I won't be back. read more

I take all my cars there for a deluxe wash the past 10 years. They always do a great job! I usually tip them $5 so they already know me and I think they spend a few extra minutes when they see me. A few month ago a person finishing the car asked me if I had an extra 20 minutes so he can put some extra TLC cleaning the interior...I agreed and he ended up doing a great job earning a $15 tip from me. I won't go there again. The most recent trip there, the guy directing cars in was so rude and snotty, that I backed up, turned around and left. I was giving the place a second chance after a really bad experience two years ago when my 8 year old grandson, without telling me, put his envelope with his "life savings", $180, in the pocket of the back seat. That isn't a place they needed to clean. After the car wash, it was gone. I complained to the manager who wouldn't even go out and ask the guys working if they knew anything about it. It was our fault for leaving it in the car, but...really The car wash itself is just borderline adequate anyway, so no reason to ever go back. I've been there a few times and each one I left disappointed. Usually spend $20 on a super wash and it's nothing else but super ridiculous one. I like a new car smell and look, therefore I always ask for extra dusting and extra vacuuming. Every time had to complain because it was never done the right way. I'm a person of color, I've been going here for years, Linda and everyone there have been and continue to be nothing but respectful and the most whole hearted people when it comes to their customers. Well, my brand new car does not have little scratches. The entire driver side has scratches along the rear door. they're horrible! I wish I would have just waited. this place is ok. I've been here a couple times because its near my work, but i don't love it. I have a toddler and I really need them to vacuum the crumbs off the upholstery, and it seems that there is always some stuff left in the crevices of the seat. Obviously any place you go to can be hit or miss at times. The thing that concerns me about Glenview Car Wash is the fact that I often times have to ask for services that I have paid for to actually be done to my vehicle. For instance the $18 wash should include tire dressing for all wheels. I cannot tell you how many times I have to ask the guy if he put it on there (knowing that he didnt) and then have him scramble around my car putting it on at my request. This is the worst car wash place on the north shore. The manager, Linda, refused to give me a basic car wash, insisting my car was too dirty and that I had to have the next level, more expensive wash. And when I refused, she essentially told me that I would not even get the service that is covered (no interior vacuuming even though they say they vacuum). And when I pointed out that I expected her to meet the minimum work for the basic wash, she got mad and said that it was the end of the day and that she was ready to close and she didn't need to be arguing with us. She also refers to all her employees as "boys," and claims they are her sons so she can call them whatever she wants. They are grown men and NOT her sons. Finally, when I asked her if she was the owner, she said she was. But we verified with one of her employees, who said she is not. So, we have a racist manager who has no respect for her customers (non-white customers), trying to up sell us and then refusing to provide the minimum service we should expect and the lying and saying she is the owner. DO NOT GO TO THIS CAR WASH. The management is horrible and they don't deserve your business. read more

TERRIBLE!!! I drove my car in with the custom WeatherTech DigitalFit mats all around and when I drove home I realized that the driverside mat was wrong. I IMMEDIATELY drove back and called them on the way and the lady said she'd look for it. When I arrived they claimed that the wrong mat was the same mat the guy had originally pulled from my car. IT WAS NOT! The whole reason I went to them was because I wanted my mats cleaned because they were so dirty. While every other car's mats were replaced back into the car immediately after they came through the wash, my guy didn't get my mats until after he was done wiping it down. There were four other black SUVs there at the same time so they could have easily mixed them up but the manager is claiming that I came in with this mat. I cannot believe that they are being so unresponsive and dismissive of their mistake! So now they won't do anything to fix their error and the WeatherTech DigitalFit floor mat I bought is gone.
