I was profiled from the door. I wish I could give zero stars. As soon as I walked in the gentleman had an attitude, he didn't even know what I needed to repair and he told me it would cost more than it is worth, then he states I don't work on anything older than 2005, assuming it was older... i told him it was a 2005 he rolled his eyes. Mind you there is an older first gen slk in the lot, an older Porsche Carrera and an older Jaguar that i parked next to... Anyway I pressed on figuring id give him a chance, said he could take a look at it on Wednesday. Wednesday comes and I get a text saying it cant be looked at till Monday... I had enough.. When I voiced my issue with the lady that works up front she stated I should of made an appointment... I tried to make an appointment two weeks ago, I was very transparent that I would be away for a week or two, they recommended I bring it in when I return because they fix "everything" same day... If I could give negative stars I would. They advertise in business for 45 years, however these owners only have owned it 3 years. They are well overpriced, and not helpful at all, as a matter of fact I believe they did things in spite because I decided not to get the work done there due to price gouging. 1000% recommend to go somewhere else if you can. read more

I have been going to Glenwood for several years for my 2013 Audi A5, after being ripped off by the dealer. Service is excellent and timely. I would say on average, service is better than the dealer and about 2/3 to 3/4 and in some cases such as a water pump, less than half the cost. The only disadvantage is the lack of a loaner but they are much closer to home and the cost and service quality more than make up. For my next car, I will be bringing it to Glenwood as well. read more

My family has chosen Glenwood Foreign Car for 20+ years. My mom and dad have had lexus, bmw, mercedes, jaguar but when I was younger they had toyota, mercury, and buick. I remember them keeping my grandmother's Mercury Sable running well enough and long enough for it to be passed down to my sister and then my brother. Recently I've had some horrible luck with cars and insurance. My vehicle was smashed up in Philly and then totaled by a U-Haul in Trenton. The entire process was a NIGHTMARE, but not the part where I had Glenwood. They handled my car. It was the one thing that was not stressful, because Melissa and Glen are good people. They understand the value of a customer. I am forever indebted to them and have continued to tell my network to bring their car to their shop. I have always had my vehicles dealer-serviced for years. I know its pricier, but my thought was that the dealer knows the car inside and out the best. Recently, my "check engine" light was on in my 2014 Audi and I relayed the symptoms my car was exhibiting. The dealer advised me to replace multiple sensors that were sending a fault code. Over $2,500 later, my car was still exhibiting the exact same symptoms! The dealer failed to diagnose the underlying problem. Admittedly reluctantly, I gave Glenwood Foreign Car a try. First time client, took my car for a regular oil change, service-checkup, after being in the garage for the winter. They claim that while changing the oil, they found the plug to be leaking; they tried to fix it by re-filing the threads (without asking me to okay that work), but that did not fix it. Then quoted me $525 to replace the oil pan. I said no, took it home, because it was not leaking oil before I brought it to them, and wanted a second opinion. After two days idle, the car had leaked about a cup of oil. Evidently their "fix" had only made a new problem that I didn't have before. I showed them a picture of the oil, and they refused to do anything except charge me full price to replace the oil pan. Implied that some other mechanic at a cheap "JiffyLube or somesuch" had over-tightened the plug, which is not true (this car has always been taken to foreign-specialty mechanics for service). I simply can't believe that an honest business would charge me full price to repair damage they caused themselves. So disappointed, and now looking for a new foreign car mechanic. read more

I have been a customer of Glenwood since 1992. He has never held my cars overnight for repairs. He gives me a quote before doing any work and asks my permission to go ahead and do the work. I have bought three cars from Glenwood. When I asked if I needed to buy extra warranty, he replied "No, Glenwood is the warranty." One time I recommended Glenwood to a friend. After Glenwood looked over the car, he called my friend and told him it was still under warranty and to take it back to the dealer and gave him the list of things for the dealer to fix. I used to bring my Car into glennwood all of the time because I could trust them. Unfortunately, there was a lack of communication between the new counter person and mechanic. I was quoted an estimate and told glennwood I needed to think about this repair if I was going to have the work done. After some careful thought, I decided to have the work done and then was told there would be a new estimate done...I inquired as to why. I was told by the new counter person, "Oh the price might drop...we just want to be sure". Really...Oh quite the contrary and I was told it wouldn't increase....caveat emptor.
