This review is exclusively for the beef jerky. My brother gave me a pack of beef jerky from Glenwood. He got it as part of a beef jerky subscription box, lol. It was the Teriyaki flavour and the flavour was great, but the beef jerky was way too tough and chewy. My temples hurt from all the chewing. It was vacuum sealed and not passed it's best before date, so I think that's just the style. I prefer a softer beef jerky. (69) read more

We saw the jerky sign from the highway. We usually enjoy stopping at fruit stands, ice creams stand or small shops when we are traveling. This place was definitely worth it. We bought 4 beef jerky flavors; peppered, teriyaki, Maui sweet onion, and sweet bourbon. Each flavor were fresh and delicious. The prices are competitive to other jerky places we have purchased. We will definitely stop by here next time we're in Idaho. read more

One of the best jerky we ever had. The original is soft and really tasty and the teriyaki. The bourbon is a bit hard and a bit bland. But other than that everything was great. Oh hopefully they will have a much nicer lady which will smile and will accommodate. It felt like she irritated on us. We spent almost $200 on jerky lady. read more

One of the worst places to work, management sits on their ass all day and only come down to yell at you. Lots of their meet goes bad and smells like really bad farts and makes you gag as you can smell it half way across the factory room. They pay little for the amount of labor they have you do. Took two Elk there this past year.One was whole the other was boned out.Had it shipped to Northern California after butchering. when we delivered the boned out Elk there was two 3' long back straps that we asked to be cut into steaks.We received less then 12'' of steak shipped.The owner said he would take care of us by giving us more meat that was donated but we haven't heard or seen anything.I have never experienced such terrible business practices.Some of the meat we received says t-bone where did that come from on a boned out Elk? I really wish this place would be fare with us as we have friends living close to them with a lot of animals dropped off each year. All I can say is beware!!! Where did all our meat go? I grew up in Idaho Falls, but never got to experience this company's delicious jerky. I can't speak to any of the other meats they offer, but their jerky might be some of the best I've ever had. My brother shipped me a package of the peppered variety, and the 10 oz bag disappeared in a matter of minutes. I have purchased Jerky and Smoked Turkey from Glenwood for years. I have not had them process game for me but I have tried game meat that friends took to them and it was excellent. My favorite Jerky is the original kind that is a little thinner and chewier than the newer, thick and softer kind. No holiday is complete without Glenwood smoked turkey, Geraldine's bakery buns, pickles, onions, mustard and mayo sandwiches. These guys have been around as long as I can remember. Very poor customer service! I tried to correct an order minutes after placing it online and had the email bounce back. Therefore, I called the next day and spoke with someone who said she would leave a message with Billy or Bobby which never got back to me. I left all the information needed to find my order and all the information that needed corrected. However, no one called me back and the order was never fixed so I am left with Pepperoni Sticks instead of Sausage sticks. There only fix is for me to send it back which I already paid shipping to get it and now they want me to pay shipping again, Ridiculous!!! I tried all I could do to fix this before anything was shipped and it didn't ship tell the day after my call. BEWARE if you make a mistake online there is no fixing it! Paula D. California read more

After speaking with Rose on the phone, we won't use this company again. She laughed regarding some of our questions. This company DOES NOT guarantee when shipping meat. Rose said the shipping is a favor to their customers. No dry ice was used and the meat was dropped off on our front porch and left there all day. We live in the south, it's warm in the south Rose. A lot of money was spent on this service. We would NEVER recommend this business to anyone and WE WILL NEVER USE GLENWOOD MEATS AGAIN! read more
