We are in town for a softball game and were looking for recommendations on a good place to eat. A local gal recommended this sandwich shop. It's a quant place, pretty busy but a lot of employees and quick service. The food was ok, not too much flavor and my turkey BLT only had one slice of turkey so couldn't even taste it. I was disappointed for such a large sandwich with yummy fluffy bread to only have 1 slice of turkey. My husband ordered the chicken BLT salad, again he said he was ok, nothing special, not much flavor. I also tried a chocolate chip cookie and it was yummy! Millhollow is so cute!!!! I had the turkey sandwich with a bunch of fix ins which were all fresh and delicious. The sour dough bread is different than what I'm used to at sandwich shops but I'd recommend it. The employees will let you order a yogurt with your meal, but pick it up AFTER you eat so it doesn't melt while you're eating your food! So yummy!!! First time was actually last week . My husband and I ordered the pastrami sandwich and the bbq chicken. For dessert?? I had the chocolate yogurt, and my husband orders a mix of strawberry cheesecake and vanilla. We were really surprised how yummy everything is. We have always loved Millhollow. My wife went there when she was at college in Rexburg and we introduced our daughter to it when we took her to college. This past Friday we were camping in Island Park and when we came to get our daughter at BYUI we stopped there for lunch. Unfortunately this was not the Millhallow any of us remembered and could be the last time we go. We were shocked at how little they put in their sandwich. I got the club and asked to put more ham and turkey and leave off the roast beef. I also asked for extra lettuce. My sandwich had ONE piece of meat (turkey) and very little lettuce, tomato or other ingredients except plenty of Mayo (which I do like). The bread is good, but this sandwich was basically all bread. So disappointed as this is NOT how Millhallow sandwiches have been in the past when they were full of meat and toppings. So disappointed, especially when I was so hungry and craving their sandwiches. Located near the college, the building is like a little log cabin or mill, and it is decorated accordingly. It is a perfect spot for a date or family treat. They have so many varieties to choose from, many of which are very unique. Their Strawberry Cheesecake is always a good option. I'm not a big mint fan, but Irish Mint is a very popular selection among the locals. They also have low fat and sugar free options. Millhollow also features many different sandwich options in sub or hoagie style with a plethora of toppings to choose from. Really good sandwiches on interesting but good bread. Not the best sandwich in the world the best in rexburg. The smoothies and frozen yogurt are great too. Get either the peach smoothie or vanilla froyo with cookie dough chunks on top. Prices are a little steep in my opinion but that doesn't stop us from going here. Used to love this place but after ordering 10 sandwiches they got the order right maybe 5 times. I'm not paying, and in my opinion overpriced, for a 50% chance of you getting my order right. If you were going skydiving and someone said 50% of parachutes don't open would you go...? It is also weird only females work here. Don't know what the manager is trying to due....? Lure in the football team? Just seems weird in 2020. However, I consider this one of my "Top 10" sandwiches I've had. Why is it so good. #1 The bread was so good. Thin and moist.
