We stopped in for a drink around 6 and when we walked in you could literally hear the music stop, everybody (all 4) turn their head, and someone whisper under their breath "who are they?" The bartender was friendly and served us a "yellow" flavored jello shots. The price was right as the drinks do not cost much, but the place could have used a once over. They had a band the night before and they hadn't quite cleaned up after, in fact the ladies from the night before were not too "lady like" (not my words, theirs). The two stars: 1 is for the excellent popcorn. 1/2 is for being a true dive bar and the other half is for having the quarter game.

I recently hosted a Bachelorette party at my cabin and brought the group of girls to the Local. The owner, Mike, did everything he could to make it a special night for us - even giving us a microphone and letting us belt our hearts out to all our favorite music we were playing on the juke box. The only bummer is they don't have a kitchen. They do have a food truck on certain nights (check their Facebook page) and also a variety of frozen pizzas. Great place!
