I made a 2pm appointment days in advance and showed up 10 min before my appointment. I sat waiting for this appointment until 2:45 only to be told there was nobody available to do my nails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thanks to this place my nails look like crap for Christmas.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I went in my nails were long and strong and now they are weak and breaking. I paid for a French manicure and now I have to cut them all off and try to polish them myself before Christmas. I had gel on my nails when I went in and they didn't even try to soak them at all they just used the electric file or drill or whatever it is. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will not ever go back to this place! Has anyone checked out glitz and glam in the new plaza behind Whataburger in WGV? They are amazing. I've had Lynn fix a problem that I've had for two years within two sessions! Super satisfied, I got Sandy and friend got Lynn. Both super nice and friendly. Happy with our results and will definitely be coming back. We both did powder and matching polish toes. Update** Unfortunately the service was great and very friendly but the quality of the nails did not last. Friends nails, the gloss was gone super fast and I had 2 pop off. I' m very happy to have this salon so close! I've struggled finding salon that I like & would return to in the last 5 yrs. I've been three times now & would highly recommend! Peter is my nail tech & does an AMAZING job! He took care of me when I ran in to an issue during my transition to Glitz & Glam. I had builders gel/liquid hard gel on & a few techs here didn't know what it was or though it was dip. Peter knew right away what it was, took care of me and got my nails back to beautiful! I went again today and he nailed it with French manicure. Everyone I've encountered at front desk has been professional, polite, always greeted with a smile! I spent $45 on a pedicure for my feet to look exactly the same, but with a quick coat of polish. All of the calluses are still there with a lot of dead skin still on my feet. read more

When the nail tech doesn't know how to turn on the water at the pedicure tub, it can only go down hill. Did not know how to get under the toenail with nail clipper, and pinched skin on my toe. Did not know how to do a massage with hot stones or do a foot massage. Applying polish she was about to leave a large bubble.... I had to tell her. I came for a pedi on Mother's Day. The salon is beautiful and brand new. The chairs were very nice and everyone was professional. The technician barely massaged my feet which was a bummer! I look forward to that. my pedicure (polish) didn't last long at all. Two weeks and it's already chipped off. I'm not sure that I'll return. I have had several visits with different technicians and I have been happy every time. The atmosphere is pleasant. The manager is very accommodating. DO NOT VISIT THIS SALON FOR ANY AND I MEAN ANY SERVICES. 10 August 2023 at 4:20pm, I visited Glitz & Glam Nail Salon in Saint Augustine for a standard wax service (upper lip and chin). I'm a loyal customer at Posh Nails but went to Publix for my Acai bowl and thought to check out the new salon. The receptionist quoted me $18.00 for my requested service: $8.00 for upper lip and $10.00 for my chin, which is what I typically pay at any nail salon. AMY rendered the service and told the receptionist to charge me for a "full chin" which added an additional $10.00 to my service fee. What is a full chin? I consider myself physically fit, I don't have a "double chin" per say and a few strains of hair was on my chin. In addition, I arrived home to wash my face and felt little hair STILL on my chin. I paid $28.00 in totally and calmly departed the salon! I have been getting facial waxing for many years in different States and I have NEVER been over charged for the service. I felt like I was robbed of a choice to decline or proceed with the service. AMY did not inform me of the additional fee for a "full chin" wax or explain why I was charged an additional $10.00. I would have loved to have the option to depart the salon or accept the additional charge. I'm still in shocked! I feel robbed and taking advantage of. I'm telling my story, so this salon doesn't make another dime robbing new or old clients and no one experience unsatisfactory/over-priced salon again. read more

I booked online for my husband and myself. We arrived 10 minutes early. They escorted us to the pedicure station and put water in the bowl. We then waited. My husband sat there in cold water 25 minutes and I waited 10 minutes. I finally said to my tech where is my husbands tech and someone came over and I said where is Lily and she pointed to another customer that Lily was doing a pedicure. My husband said I am not waiting in cold water and got up and waited for me. None of the owners came to me and apologized and did not offer to give me another tech when I sat down initally. We will never go back to this salon bad service and owners did not do anything to make it right. read more

I hate to leave a bad review unless the people are rude...but this is embarrassing if they do this to other people. And this place is consistently messing up. I asked for one coat of the polish on my toes. I said top coat, bottom coat but only one coat of the polish, please. It dries faster. She didn't do that. Ok. So she puts on my sandals. And ruins both big toes (of course,) but then she told me to go to the nail chair. I asked super politely if she could fix the big toes. Then she was painting with the wrong color. I didn't say anything bc I had already "complained" once. It was probably close to what she thought I ask for. There were other "smaller" things, but I was not going to worry about them. Most of the ladies are nice. But I will say, this place always has something going wrong on my manis or my pedis. read more

I had an appointment, it wasn't super busy & still waited about 15 minutes. The man who did my pedicure & manicure took 3 smoke breaks while completing services. He came back the second time to take the polish off of my fingers and my hands both smelled like cigarette smoke after that. The pedicure was fine, but the massage chairs are not enjoyable at all. After my pedicure, he started the manicure and asked me where my prior manicure was done because it was awful. I disagreed and Said I liked it and had no issue with it. He went on to do a black gel manicure for me & rushed through it. The end product was AWFUL. He rushed & did not allow my nails to dry under the UV long enough. Unfortunately I didn't realize it until I had already left & very generously tipped him. I will never go back. read more

This place is absolutely lovely and the people who work here are very nice. My issue is that the last two times I had a manicure and pedicure. There were suddenly extra fees when I went to check out. I let it slide the first time, but the second time it was too much. I had a manicure and a pedicure. Technician recommended an extra coating for my fingers and toes that would make the polish seem extra glossy . I inquired is there an additional fee. I was told the cost was two dollars. Sounded reasonable and fair so I said yes. When I went up to settle my bill. I was astounded at the price. The extra coating was two dollars PER nail. (which is not how it was presented to me and was absolutely not worth it. ) So my bill went up $40 from what I was expecting . Again, the people here are very nice. The place is very lovely. It's very clean, but the last two times I walked out of the business feeling like they took advantage of me. So off to find a new nail salon. read more

I used this Salon for 1.5 years. Overall, it was OK or so-so. My last visit was a really bad experience: I was hurt twice. A person who worked on my pedicure and hurt me continued working on my feet like my bleeding toes were nothing. I asked if they have some antibiotics, but apparently they do not. That person attempted to wipe my blood with the town that she was using for my pedicure which was not clean. So, I walked out of the Salon and will never come back. There are plenty of other options for pedicure around this area. I want to share my experience that everyone knows what to expect if you got a person who work on your feet and does not care. read more

Not a place I would revisit. Service was fine but my nails started chipping the next day. Also, when I got to the checkout to pay there were additional charges added which I was not told about, and all I got was a plain manicure and spa pedicure with Lavendar. Lavendar was never used, but I was charged for the spa pedicure price. read more
